One of the most powerful potions when used right, FAPs make the user immune to nearly all stuns and slows. Meaxxna's webspray and a few other abilities are exceptions, but overall it's a very powerful tool. The mats are quite affordable, so using them in PvP is not unheard of. There's no reason to believe these won't scale well at 70.

These are very awesome for a druid flag runner in WSG. Just sneak in, hit FA, grab flag, and pop cat form sprint to make it out the tunnel. Once outside, hit travelform and you're home.

If you're a gnome, this is a great complement to Escape Artist, especially if there's a good chance you'll be immediately resnared. It takes you most of the way to the vastly more expensive Living Action Potion. Escape Artist only works on movement impairing effects, not stuns, however.

Combine the Medallion of the Alliance and the FAP into a macro to be used consecutively and you have yourself an anti-rogue "get away from you no matter what" button.

Best use of these (for BGs, anyway), is to wait until you have a movement impairing effect on you, eat a FAP, then pop you PvP trinket to break whatever CC you have on you.

Makes it function like a 30s Living Action Potion (which is much more expensive, rare, and lasts for only 5s).

These are amazing for tanking Hyjal trash waves that contain Abominations as a Paladin or Warrior. Normally the Abominations knock you down (meaning you can't block/dodge/parry) and you'll quickly get owned - these allow you to tank more of these otherwise weak mobs. It's literally the difference between living and dying if the Abom's get free of CC.

Also, potion mastery Alchemists can get procs while making this.

Not to mention one of your biggest cash-crop with Alchemy in the mid-range levels and beyond.These and Frost Oil,Mana Potions,Catseye Elixir,Elixir of Giant Growth,Swiftness potion,various Water Breathing Potions,Potion of Curing,Swift speed potion,the rage potions,Goblin Rocket Fuel,Magic Resistance Potion,Restorative Potion,Ghost Dye and Stonescale Oil.Most hardcore PvPers will stock on these.

It is highly recommended to have herbalism,for most of the herbs required for the majority of the above consumables sell rather high on the AH,or are rare (see Wintersbite for Frost Oil).Fishing also helps,especially for producing Blackmouth and Stonescale oils with Alchemy.Add Cooking to the mix,if anything,for the extra profit added by Dragonbreath Chili and Savory Deviate Delight.

No, these are fantastic potions....especially for druids in 30-39 WSG take a free action potion run over to your flag and score....yay just dont get hurt or mess around for 30 sec or ur screwed....

also clarify...when u drink one of these baby's you are literally unstopable... NO slowing effects.....ZIP, ZILTCH, NADA, NO SIRRY!

I mass produce these on Runetotem, and as a defending Mage I'd like to comment that unless it resists my Frost Nova, it still gets stuck, even if I watch them glug the potion as they grab the flag, the Cone of Cold or Blast Wave slow doesn't do anything to them, but that bunch of ice at their feet holds them fast.

Things that say "Reduces movement speed to x% of normal" or "by x%" wont be added after you drink the potion, but roots (Entangle, Frost Nova, things of that nature) don't appear to be effected.

And a side note to Alchemists, these are a cash crop like you would'nt believe (assuming that Oilys are cheap on your server, or that you enjoy fishing a lot). Swimming Westfalls coastline can give you 30-40 Stranglekelp in a run, and if Oilys are like Runetotems and around 1g50s a stack-ish, you can easily resell at around 3g (or higher if you so desire) and the level 40+ PVPers will eat them up.

And don't bother spending big money buying the recipe out on the AH, just pay attention when you talk to Alchemy suppliers to what recipes they have, I snag this one whenever it appears to pass to Guildies who are starting alch.

51 point bm hunters can be immune to all cc for 18 secs. Can even get out of all existing cc except for fear, stun, and probably mind control.

The Free Action Potion doesn't work right away against frost nova. You'll stop for one tick before it breaks thanks to this potion's effect. Likewise, the hunter's freezing trap will slow you down like normal... so it doesn't prevent ALL slowing effects. It's still pretty handy, however. It's like the Paladin Blessing of Freedom, except it lasts longer.

Good use of this potion:

In case you're tempted to gank a member in one of the Steamwheedle Cartel cities and get tired of the goblins jumping in, trapping you, and clubbing you to death... Certainly apply this before going in for the kill and making the run for it! :)

i used a few of these potions last nite in the Warsong Gulch BG, but it didn't seem to do anything for me when i was immobilized by a Mage's Frost Nova spell. very frustrating.

otherwise it seemed to work well, though not instantly - in some cases it took a few seconds (up to five?) for this potion to take effect... =(

I have written to blizzard about this and the response came back " working as intended." Will someone please explain to me how I drink one of these, (before any effects are on me) and then a hunter uses concussive shot and I walk around dazed for a few secs. The definition of the potion says "IMMUNE to stun and movement impairing effects for 30secs." Last time I checked, dazed is a friggin movement impairing effect!

The biggest complaint about this game is the DAZE effect that every freakin lvl 10+ mobs in the game has. I can understand them wanting some mobs to do it, but there is no sense in being killed by greys and greens because of DAZE! I have played Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 1, Everquest 2, and a few other unpopular freebie MMORPG games and WOW is the only one that feels the need to screw its players every time they try to run.

If they don't want us skipping content just make orange and red mobs so it since mostly likely you shouldn't be messing with them anyways. But give a person a chance to flea when fighting normal exp mobs. ITs not uncommon to get screwed by a respawn and need to flea and you simply can't do that in this game due to daze.

Free action and living action still work at 70. Free action is more ideal though because you can already remove active effects with a 2m insignia trinket. So no need to worry about getting ZG reputation!
