Is it a horde only quest? Because I've been there every few levels up to level 51 and I haven't seen any quests that ask for indurium ore. Only the sample of indurium.

Martek is in the Badlands.

From what the NPC's say, it sounds like the guy in 1000n SHOULD send you back to the badlands to mine the ore, but he doesn't give the expected followup quest.

I mined this in Badlands.

I got 4 Indurium Ore out of one mine.

Currently I'm allowing it to consume pack space in hopes of finding some use for it, I can't seem to smelt it, nor do I see an abilty to learn to smelt it. The quest information in earlier posts sounds bout the closest to useful though they seem vague as to whether its: Flakes, Samples, or Ore, so not sure if its useful to that quest or not.
GL guys/gals hope we find what its for.

you have to complete the diversion quest in the salt flats and after that the goblin will take 4 indurium ore and give you 65 silver

The quest structure is as follows...

Talk to Fizzle Brassbolts on the Mirage Raceway in the Shimmering Flats of the Thousand needles, if you are a high enough level, he will give you a quest to bring a letter to Martek the Exiled in The Badlands

When you talk to Martek, he will request that you get ten Indurium flakes from Stonevault Troggs. When you get them, he tells you to go back to Fizzle, Fizzle will be excited, but not give you another quest.

You will notice that the goblin Pozzik will now have a quest for you, that is the distraction quest. When you have give the Indurium Ore sample to him, he will want more Indurium. That is this quest.

I hope I haven't been too redundant, but these "helpful" comments have seemed to jump around a bit too much, and not give a whole lot of help.

The quest is repeatable, requiring 4 Indurium Ore each time.

What I get is 6 silver for 4 ore .. and so far no reputaion! Sucky quest!

zorque is absolutely right in his description of the chain of events. You have to do the quests that you get from the gnome, Fizzle Brassbolts, at Mirage raceway. You cannot get the quest from Pozzik until you return the indurium sample to Fizzle. The reason is that Pozzik wants you to steal that sample from the gnomes, along with the plans that go with it. Also, you do NOT need to be level 60 in order to do this...I just finished it on my mage, at level 43.

Yeah, pretty much useless, EXCEPT it's great to level mining on. I'm at 157 mining, and while iron is yellow to me, indurium is orange. Don't get any past the first hit tho, because turning in 4 ore for 6 silver is a waste of time.

Did this while running a group of friends at Uldaman. While I have 11 ores, I just have not found any use for this. As previous posters have mentioned, you can not smelt this. You can not do anything with this except to turn them in as part of a quest.

i guess its just for a quest, i have them too but if no0one replied on what this stuff is used for since 21 february, then i guess it's just junk.

Don't u see the thing that says "used in quests" and then a link to the idurium ore quest? That is what this is for.

In the shimmering flats you have to complete a few qu and after that the goblin near the racer wants 4 indurium ore. you get 6 silver each time. he has a blue question mark above his head. but i don´t know what it is good for... maybe for reputation... but thats just an idea.
