This is good for a preist but if your a warlock/mage/Spreist or Moonkin you should go for a +Spell damage off hand like the Omega orb(Easy quest reward) https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=7749 or you could get the one that drops in Graveyard the Orb of the forgotten seer https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=7685#M0z

visual bonus: unlike other off-hands this one it's visible (on your bag as if it is a staff) even while you don't have your 1h-weapon in your hand

what is the equivilent of this for alliance since the quest to get this is horde only?

i want a good off hand item as im going to be getting a sword soon.

also whats the name of the disenchant info mod thats shown in that screen shot please as i want it.

the off-hand for the alliance is half as gewd as the horde one

int/stam are mage stats
For a mage, this kicks that pathetic alliance item to the maelstrom.

Yeah the alliance version is 6int 11spi.

A complete joke compared to the horde version.

You can't get more int on an off hand item until the 50s and then only rarely.

oh and it is massive for an offhand!

well it kinda IS a staff so it should be that size...and for instancing the alliance one is actually quite a bit better for healers and other casters alike, the more spr they have the longer they 're mana lasts in fights and most importantly on those inevitable bad pulls. The alliance version would be much better for druids than other casters due to them having more time between casts for the mana to regen than other casters while the horde is more for mages and preists.

Orb of Lorica it looks better than the Horde one, it's a little orb that looks like it's on fire and gives of a fire trail as you run around.

I can't wait to get this on my horde mage though, it has great stats and would go well with the Hypnotic Blade

my 34 elemental shaman has this and hypnotic blade and my bloodfury chain lightening crits are for 600+
i got the crit on a33 mob

And about qqing alliance, the horde cant get a two hander or a dagger(well you could get Mograine's Might but its kinda hard...)

i'd rather have LOTS of mana and not get it back quickly than have little mana and regen like nobody's business.

Yea, I wear that one pluss Hypnotic Dagger, and it beats the hell out of that staff. Looks awesome too

This plus Hypnotic balde=20 int, 5 stam. Better than the staff that Arcanist Doan drops.

This plus hypnotic is not better than the staff he drops cause this only gives a total of 28 stats where his staff gives a total of 32 and not sure if im correct but you can get this earlier then the can so definately not as good as Illusionary

Not quite sure why everyone makes such a big deal about the illusionary rod. This plus hypnotic blade rawks. 2 Stamina doesn't equal out to diddly, but 5 intellect and +9 to spells takes the cake IMO. My 42 priest still has this combo and I'm not really sure what to replace it with. I have the Ironbark staff waiting in the bank for 60, but my stepping stone hasn't come to me yet.
