If you really want to farm this, go to Un'Goro Crater, where the volcano is with all the fire elementals. Great drop rate, along with Heart of Fire and Essence of Fire.

If Un'Goro is a little too high for you head to Arathi Highlands. The circle of fire elementals there drops elemental fire 1-2 per circle clearing on average in my experience. If you know an alchemist these can also be obtained with a transmute of 1 Heart of Fire -> 3 Elemental Fire.

I just farmed 5 of these in about 15 kills in the circle @ Arathi, so a fairly good drop rate for those of you too low level for Un'Goro.

If you're too low level for the elementals in Arathi, this is farmable from the elementals in the Charred Vale in Stonetalon Mountains. The droprate is considerably lower, but if you're desperate to get your hands on your Robe of Power mats like I was, then it is possible.

Its farmed becous its needed for fire prot pots which are needed for MC,and its farmed in arathi cus drop rate is nice and they are easly killed

I have also noticed a decrease in drop rate from the elementals in Arathi. Felwood is pretty good, but there are so few mobs and so many people.

The 1.8 patch notes claim that the fire imps in burning steppes are supposed to drop this now. Is this true in practice, or did Blizzard screw up and not actually implement the change again?

I can confirm that Flamekin Torchers in Burning Steppes DO drop Elemental Fire.

I got 2 of them out of four groups of imps so far.

So, since the last patch, I've killed about 30 entropic horrors/beasts in Felwood, and not a single elemental fire has dropped. Was I just amazingly unlucky, or has the drop rate for those mobs been nerfed?

I have cleared about 9 packs of the flamekin and not a single elemental fire. I also went to felwood and killed the entropic beasts for 1 hour and not one dropped.

I went to arathi and got 18 straight drops. Something is a little messed up in the loot tables. You would think the higher level mobs would actually yeild more, and not none at all.

if youre the only one in the area, the elementals at arathi pretty much yield a stack (10x) for an hour's worth of farming.

In the early stages of the game, Bernard the Mixer was real. Unfortunately, one day he haggled too much with a tauren. The beast mashed him to pulp and he was no more. (Blizzard removed him because people were camping his vendor spot for recipes and none were ever available.)

you can get it in stoneatlon mountains and there only lv 27 i farmed and got 9 gold in about 15 kills not bad for a lv 25 hunter and pet

i threw like five away to make room for retarded stuff that cost maybe 5s.

I killed one of the "fire something" in The Charred Vale in Stonetalon and it dropped ^^ Either im very lucky or the droprate is very high :)

I just got 2 of these from killing about 3 of the level 26-28 fire elementals in the Stone Talon mountains in the Charred Vale. I came here to find out what it was used for lol ;)

I was trying to get elemental fire to make a robe, so i decided to go here. When i got here some lvl 60 undead warrior was running in circles farming these. Even when i legitimately pulled one he would run up and attack it and because he hit harder he would get the kill, he would do this all the time. What an F'n loser, why not go kill higher lvl mobs to get this at a higher drop rate? Instead of stealing my kills who is lvl 36 trying to lvl and make a robe. If your lvl 60 dont steal kills because you can. I dont care if you can pull faster thats great, dont come kill my pull!

Have these rates been changed in an update? I'm farming Burning Exiles in Arathi and getting closer to 1 every 20-25 kill. That's less than a 5% drop rate.

getting these Elemental Fires are really hard to get, farming them from Burning Exile's and get the reagent from like every 15 kills or so.

I farm for these as well as Heart of Fires at Fire Plume Ridge in Un'goro. When I get enough I get Dreamfoil from the AH and turn it into fire pots. Makes a good income.

Was needing one more of these to make my Fire Goggles and none on AH. As I was only Level 22 I starting killing the Rogue Flame Spirits in Stonetalon and got one on 5th kill.

Kill Burning Exiles in Arathi Highlands. In between waiting for them to respawn gather herbs(Goldthorn, Wild Steelbloom and Fadeleaf) or mining(Iron, tin and mithril) rinse and repeat. Roughly a 6-8 minute respawn for the burning exiles so you have a bit of time to farm on the side. Make that money!
