You get the recipe from the trainer near the quest

I have looked around the trainers in Ogg near the guy who hands this quest out and cannot find this recipe. Can someone please specifiy exactly who hands this recipe out and where they can be found, would greatly appreciate it !

Even though this item doesn't have any stats I used it at lvl 40 because of it's increased armour. Made an addition of ~200+ arm, and that was helpful in BG. Going to change to either Heavy or Ornate Mithril helm when I reach the reqiured lvl.

Think you get this from the BS in Booty Bay, not in Orgrimmar. Master Blacksmith is located in Booty Bay and teach you everything you need to know except for the specializing recipes, which you learn from your weaponsmith/armorsmith trainer or quests.

I would like to add that this little guy can be hard to find, he is on the uppermost level kind of towards the back and is inside the smith...he's a gnome. *The recipe for this helm is not attainable till smithing skill level 215*

You can get this recipe from the BS trainer in the middle of Iron Forge. Hope this helps.

Skill must be 215, confirmed.
Learned Heavy Mithril Axe, Mithril Scale Pants, Steel Plate Helm at 218 skill.

Even though I still think horde owns! "Which they do" The helm is still ugly as all hell! Which i clearly show when i use all 3

ever since wow has gone off line for repair i cant find any thing from a blacksmither to learn im a lvl 165 blacksmither n i want to now where i can learn this recipe as well as others...

can you buy the helmet from a vender or Auction House or do you have to make it with a high enough BlackSmith skill?

Personally, I think this isn't that bad at level 40. It's cheap, you can buy it at the AH and it gives a ton of armour. I would recommend this if your mail helm isn't superior or high level.

At 14 steel bars per helm this is a prime example of why blacksmithing is such a pain in the @$$ to level.

14 materials, that are a combination of 28 materials, for a WHITE item with zero extra stats.

Why this wasn't changed in TBC is ridiculous.
