The spool is in the "The Finest Thread Shop", in the canals area of Cathedral Square.

It seems the shop is empty, but if you go up to the counter just on the floor to the left, you will find it, you then have to click it to gather silk off the thread. = )

I've searched the shop for 15min, but in vain. I can't find it. Can anyone tell exactly where in the shop the spool of silk is?

yes its an empty shop but the spools are on the floor just click to open them small pink spools infront of the counter the left 1 worked for me.

i couldn't find it anyhere, then realized, did have the quest (somehow)
i went back to the doc to get it, and i did, i walked away too fast, i gess he was supposed to pull blood, so it failed.
i abandoned, went back to get the quest again, but he was gone!
i relogged to check for him
he wasn't there, WTF

anyone know what i need to do,

ok, continue,

10 minutes later, i found him,
u have to /lay down, to get a blood sample, once done, u wait, he will go toalk to his squirrel, then becomes ready for the next quest, the one in this page.

The thread is lying on the ground in the Finest Thread shop. That certain shop. Its the shop that nobodies in, but the thread is lying on te ground beside the Counter. You have to open it and you'll find the thread. :)

I've seen countless messages about it being on the floor. I've made sure I have the quest 5+ times and all I need is the lil Cloth thingy but I can't open anything in that shop! I've clicked on everything, literally. SOMEONE HELP ME!

it took me a while to find it too.

its next to the desk

its on the ground

its to the left of the room

if that doesn't help make sure your in the right place.

FINEST THREAD SHOP

on the floor in front of the desk is a giant YELLOW spool hover over it and get a gear to take it.

the shop is near the cathedral square area.

Also on a side not if you also need the FLOWERS

they are in the flower shop near the trade district.

to get the flowers make a right coming out of the trade district heading to old town and follow the canal down after you come out of the trade district and the flower shop is at the very end.

Finest Threads is the shop directly across the bridge from The Park to Cathedral Square.

The thread is on the floor at the left, just in front of the shop counter.
