Purchasable from the vendor north of Kharanos in Central Dun Morogh, this is one of the mounts available to Alliance characters with a riding skill of 75 (obtainable at level 40). If you are playing as any race other than a gnome, you will also need to have Exalted reputation with the Gnomeregan Exiles.

This mount increases movement speed by 60%.

this might seem like a noob question but why is there a price difference between the gnome mech(64g) and the other alli mounts(80g)?

It's only 9.5 Gold for me. I'm a lock so I have my free mount anyways, is the Mechanostrider faster?

That's because of the 10% discount you get at Honored, they show the undiscounted price in case you haven't gotten your rep to the required level. And yes, you need to be Exalted to buy another race's mount, but you don't have to do it all with cloth donations. There are repeatable rep quests for SW and Darnassus you can do instead, very tedious and time-consuming but not as expensive.

<3 it ;D i wanted to buy a tiger though, but i was told i had to donate 15000 runecloth to Darnasuss. no way im doing that :\ but the strider is cool ;D it says here that the merchant buy prize is 80g, i think i paid 64g. or ?

This Mechanostrider can be bought from Milli Featherwhistle in Kharanos in Dun Morogh. Coordinates are 49.0, 48.1
