64 hunter. I put about two hours and a thousand arrows into finding this scroll. Fortunately I needed the rep anyway, but killing hundreds of the same two uglies with zero XP gained is something I'm happy to put on the "done" list.

Fortunately these guys drop a fair number of greens and some decent-paying trash to help soften the grind. Plenty of runecloth too, if that's your thing

According to 2.4 patch notes:

"Gift of Arthas now stacks to 20."

On a long boss fight with the tank using this elixir, that would be up to 160 increased damage per strike. That's going to make a boss die a hell of a lot faster.

I think the value of this recipe will be going up a lot when the patch comes out.

This recipe has probably dropped over 10 times for me now. They don't sell on the AH very well. I'm getting sick of them.

This is a terrific potion. You just gotta think like a raider, and not like a solo rogue whatever...

Have your main tank pop one of these before EVERY boss fight. Then everyone who smacks the boss does 8 points more damage than before. It may not seem like much, but considering some bosses have hundreds and hundreds of thousands of health, and your melee and casters are smacking them like 2000 times, then this one little potion stacks up to 16,000 points of damage. That's an awful lot, and can make all the difference.

How many times has a raid wiped with the boss at 2% health? With this potion, that boss is dead.

Drops uncommonly in the western plaguelands, both of my drops have been off of some random level 51 undead mobs. The main value in this recipe is that the elixir is EXTREMELY cheap to make, since Arthas' Tears only have use for this elixir and detect undead, and blindweed is exuberantly plentiful.

For Phase 1 of classic WoW, this elixir is great for a (very small) shadow resistance buffer on your tanks, and only makes your tank and melee DPS hit harder. It also has the benefit of making debuffed enemies a dark green, which makes them more visible in my opinion.

Don't bring to raids if the boss is non-immune to disease or you will waste a debuff slot.
