+30 Plaguefall Completed on Tournament Realm Due to New Mythic+ Plagueborer Strategy

In Mythic+ Plaguefall, a new strategy has been found to make the Plagueborer strategy even more effective, allowing players to ferry a Plagueborer around the whole dungeon and bomb everything.
We briefly covered Plagueborer bombing in our recent
Mythic+ Tip of the Week
, but this strategy takes it to a new level.
How to Plagueborer Bomb in Plaguefall
+30 Plaguefall Completed on Tournament Realm
Earlier today,
Naowh
,
Maystine
,
Gingi
,
Fragnance
and
Zaelia
showed off a new strategy on stream in order to complete a +30 Plaguefall on the Tournament Realm. This strategy involves making a new
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
friend and using him to bomb everything in the entire dungeon!
This strategy is so potent that they even two healed the entire dungeon.
New Mythic+ Plagueborer Strategy
This new Mythic+ Plagueborer strategy requires a Druid for
Ciclone
and a Priest for
Controllo Mentale
. A bonus is having a Mage for
Metamorfosi
.
At a baseline, the
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
s cast
Bomba Pestilenziale
at low health, killing itself and dealing very high damage to 4 other targets. However, the group above uses
Ciclone
to make the
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
immune, preventing it from dying, then using a Priest's
Controllo Mentale
to force it to cast
Bomba Pestilenziale
when needed. This allows the group to ferry a Plagueborer around the whole dungeon, forcing it to cast
Bomba Pestilenziale
whenever they want to kill a group of mobs.
If the
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
ever gets low, the Mage will cast
Metamorfosi
to heal it a bit. This strategy is probably only going to be used in the highest of Mythic+ keys, as it takes a lot of work and becomes extra useful as key level increases due to the Plagueborer scaling with key level.
Unintended Interactions?
This seems like a bunch of unintended interactions, but not necessarily a bug.
Ciclone
is supposed to prevent all actions, while making the affected target immune. The problem is that
Bomba Pestilenziale
isn't channeled by the
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
and once the action is in progress, the effect continues through the
Ciclone
.
The
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
is supposed to be dead after it casts
Bomba Pestilenziale
, so it's able to be force cast again using a
Controllo Mentale
.
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
s doing so much damage is clearly under investigation by Blizzard, as they are reducing the duration of the
Trivellapiaga Miserabile
DoT by 4 seconds
in Patch 9.1
. However, this is always the issue with Friendly Fire mechanics scaling in keys, as they get better and more required the higher the keystone level is.
It'll be interesting to see if Blizzard will fix this strategy before the upcoming
The Great Push
Mythic+ tournament.
