Adjusted Color Scheme Coming Soon to Wowhead

The Wowhead team has been working on an adjusted color scheme coming soon to the website, and we wanted to share a preview before it goes live next week. While the color scheme is pretty similar to the current site version, we needed to make some tint adjustments in preparation for a larger design revamp coming later this year which modernizes the front page.
As part of the modified color scheme, we have tweaked many site elements such as heading fonts and tab visuals. After updating the site to the new colors, some old style elements no longer looked as visually effective, and so we adjusted them to remain impactful.
While the color scheme isn't that different from our current version, we know some people are attached to familiar visuals and fonts, so we've highlighted several parts of the site to demonstrate the updates, and you can take a closer look at the enlarged images by opening them in a new tab.

Upcoming Front Page Revamp
This color scheme project is the first step towards revamping our homepage and news, which we are actively working on to deliver later this quarter. Below you can see our plans for the featured content area on the front page, and we will also be working on a modern look for Today in WoW as well. Our goals with the design revamp are to streamline the front page, cut down on visual clutter, and reposition the ads to reduce layout issues such as randomly-positioned blank spaces.
We will be doing another preview post when the front page revamp is closer to completion, highlighting more of the homepage and news, but here is a quick teaser for now:
