We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.Q: How do I get into the raid zone?A: In Oribos, Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade IV in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)Q: What character should I use to test the raid?A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players’ effective level to 60 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.Q: How long does testing last?A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we’re satisfied that we’ve received that information for a given boss, we’ll be shutting down testing. Overview: Death cannot touch Kel'Thuzad so long as his phylactery remains, and in defeating the lich the Phylactery opens and empowers him. During this window, players may enter the Phylactery to destroy the last vestige of Kel'Thuzad's soul before the door closes, but while they do so the armies of Kel'Thuzad emerge from the soul stream to asault the raid.
Each time the Phylactery empowers Kel'Thuzad, he gains a stack of [Necrotic Surge].
After the Phylactery is destroyed, Kel'Thuzad unleashes all his power and minions to obliterate the raid before death can finally take him.

On Mythic difficulty, Kel'Thuzad starts with two stacks of Necrotic Surge.

Tanks:
Tank swap before your stacks of [Soul Fracture] get too high.
Run through a defeated Soul Shards to remove a stack of [Soul Exhaustion].
Run through Frostbound Devoted to destroy them.
[Demolish] inflicts heavy damage.
Damage Dealers:
Focus damage on Soul Shards when they appear.
Prevent Frostbound Devoted from entering the phylactery.
Enter the phylactery and damage the Remnant of Kel'Thuzad.
Healers:
Dispel allies afflicted with [Frost Blast].
[Necrotic Miasma] continually stacks damage on players within the phylactery.

Stage One: Chains and Ice: Kel'Thuzad unleashes the forces of frost and shadow on the players. With his command over death, even those that succumb to his power are not spared his wrath.

Howling Blizzard: When depleted of mana, Kel'Thuzad summons a blizzard that creates ice patches. Standing in an ice patch inflicts 34 Frost damage every 1 sec.
These patches grow over 20 sec before exploding, inflicting 120 Frost damage to enemies within 8 yards.
Dark Evocation: When reduced to half mana, the lich summons Frostbound Devoted and dead players to fight by his side.

Frostbound Devoted: Summoned during Call of the Dead.

Corpse Detonation: Touching a Frostbound Devoted inflicts 80 Shadow damage to enemies within 0 and knocks them back.

Soul Fracture: Kel'Thuzad inflicts 44066 Shadow damage and knocks the player back shattering their soul into Soul Shards.

Soul Shard: Created by Soul Fracture.

Piercing Wail: The shard screams, inflicting 16525 Shadow damage to all players.
Soul Exhaustion: Each Soul Shard summoned leaves a stack of Soul Exhaustion on the target, increasing Physical damage taken by 500%.
If all stacks of Soul Exhaustion are not removed before the duration expires in 1 min, the target is slain.

Glacial Wrath: Kel'Thuzad summons Glacial Spikes at player destinations, inflicting 10 Frost damage to players within 6 yards and knocking them back.

Glacial Spike

Shatter: Once summoned, the Glacial Spike loses 5% health every 2 sec. On death the spike shatters, inflicting 40 Frost damage to all players and an additional 5 Frost damage every 1 sec for 10 sec.
This effect stacks.

Oblivion's Echo: Kel'Thuzad debuffs random players causing them to silence their allies within 10 yards for 6 sec.
After the aura expires, the wearer drops a field of silence at their destination.
Frost Blast: Kel'Thuzad hurls a chunk of ice at an enemy, inflicting 400 Frost damage divided evenly among players within 8 yards, 12 Frost damage every 1 sec and rooting them for 12 sec.
Ice Shard: Hurls an ice shard at the target that inflicts 100% attack damage as Physical.

Stage Two: The Phylactery Opens:
When Kel'Thuzad is defeated, the phylactery opens and restores him to life once more. While open, players can enter the phylactery to battle the last remnant of Kel'Thuzad's soul.

Necrotic Miasma: Continually inflicts 551 Shadow damage every 2 sec as long as a player is within the phylactery.
This effect stacks.
Necrotic Surge: Each time Kel'Thuzad is revived by the phylactery, necrotic power surges through him increasing his damage done by 5%.
Additionally, each stack also increases the number of players targeted by Oblivion's Echo and Glacial Wrath.
This effect stacks.
Necrotic Empowerment: After being revived by the phylactery, Kel'Thuzad empowers any of his minions still alive increasing their damage by 25% and making them immune to all loss of control effects.
Necrotic Destruction: The phylactery empowers Kel'Thuzad, restoring him to full health. While it remains open, Kel'Thuzad gathers power to inflict 66099 Shadow damage to all players.
March of the Forsaken: Kel'Thuzad drags souls from oblivion and onto the battlefield.

Unstoppable Abomination

Demolish: The abomination turns towards a random enemy and unleashes a wave of necrotic energy that inflicts 75 Shadow damage to enemies caught in the line.

Soul Reaver

Banshee's Cry: Every 1 sec the spirit launches missiles at random player that inflicts 8469 Shadow damage.
Empowered Cry: On every successful cast of Banshee's Cry the creature increases the damage done of Banshee's Cry by 25%.
This effect stacks.

Frostbound Devoted

Corpse Detonation: Touching a Frostbound Devoted inflicts 80 Shadow damage to enemies within 0 and knocks them back.

Remnant of Kel'Thuzad

Foul Winds: The Remnant of Kel'Thuzad summons foul winds to push players towards the edge of the phylactery. (Mythic)
Shadow Fissure: The Remnant constantly opens fissures at random target destinations, inflicting 41312 Shadow damage to enemies within 4 yards and knocking them back. (Normal, Heroic, Raid Finder)
Shadow Fissure: The Remnant constantly opens fissures at random target destinations, inflicting 41312 Shadow damage to enemies within 4 yards, knocking them back, and leaves a shadow zone that inflicts 34 Shadow damage every 1 sec while standing within it for 10 sec. (Mythic)
Freezing Blast: A cresting wave of ice surges over players in a line in front of the caster, dealing 25 Frost damage on impact and rooting them for 4 sec.
Glacial Winds: When under 33% of his max health, the Remnant of Kel'Thuzad summons tornadoes that rip apart anything they touch, inflicting 1284 Frost Damage and rooting them for 6 sec.
Necrotic Obliteration: At 66% and 33% of max health, the Remnant of Kel'Thuzad becomes immune to damage and gathers power to inflict 66099 Shadow damage to all players within the phylactery and knock them back.

Stage Three: The Final Stand:
With the phylactery destroyed, true death awaits the lich. Cornered like a wild beast, Kel'Thuzad unleashes the armies of the dead to make his violent last stand.

Onslaught of the Damned: Kel'Thuzad calls to the armies of the damned to his aid. Slain players are also added to these ranks, now in the thrall of the lich.

The Eye of the Jailer

When Azeroth was young, Odyn traded his eye to Mueh'zala to peer into the Shadowlands. Vain Odyn was deceived, for the Jailer twisted the Eye to serve his own ends. The Eye's unwavering gaze allows the Jailer to see all that transpires within his domain--and perhaps others as well.

Raid Finder

Overview: The Eye of the Jailer fights players directly on the platform until every 25% of health lost. The Eye of the Jailer then casts Stygian Ejection on two of its Deathseeker Eyes and retreats to fight from a distance. Upon defeat of the ejected Deathseeker Eyes, the Eye of the Jailer returns to the platform to fight once again.

Tanks:
[Deathlink] will damage other people in the raid for the amount of damage you take after mitigation and absorbs.
[Spreading Misery] will always hit the Deathseeker Eye's primary target.
Deathseeker Eyes will cast [Shared Suffering] if brought too close to each other while on the platform.
Damage Dealers:
If Deathseeker Eyes do not die together, the dead one will continuously pulse [Dying Suffering].
[Desolation Beam] will chain to other targets nearby on cast, increasing damage each time.
[Dragging Chains] is less effective when Stygian Abductors try to drag multiple people.

[Hopeless Lethargy] will slow down and damage other players.
Healers:
[Deathlink] will damage other people in the raid for the amount of damage the primary target takes after mitigation and absorbs.
[Slothful Corruption] slows down ranged attack, casting, and movement speeds but does not slow down melee attack speed.
[Immediate Extermination] will eventually make healing impossible in the final stage.

Grapple!: Use the harpoons from the chain piles to grapple across the gap!
Stage One: His Gaze Upon You

Piercing Lens: The Eye propels a sharp pinpoint of force at a target, inflicting 22033 Physical damage.
Deathlink: The Eye of the Jailer inflicts 80 Physical damage to its current target, and the final damage taken will chain to 9 more players.
Eye Bolt: The Deathseekers flanking the Eye of the Jailer inflict 9916 Shadow damage to random targets.
Stygian Abductors: The Eye of the Jailer summons Stygian Abductors to drag players off the platform and send their souls screaming into the Maw. (Heroic, Mythic)

Dragging Chains: Chains strike an enemy and all enemies nearby for 0 Shadow damage.
The abductor tries to pull chained players off the platform, being less effective when trying to pull higher numbers of targets, even risking being dragged to the platform if enough players run against the chains.
Assailing Lance: Grounded Stygian Abductors throw their lance at their current target, inflicting 49575 Physical damage and applying a bleed that inflicts 3305 Physical damage every 1.5 sec. for 10 sec.

Hopeless Lethargy: The Eye of the Jailer corrupts a player with dark energy. All players within 8 yds. of the player have their movement speed reduced by 50% and take 22 Shadow damage every 1.5 sec. (Mythic)

Stage Two: Double Vision

Stygian Ejection: The Eye of the Jailer ejects a Rotseeker and Slothseeker Eye and cloaks itself in a Stygian Shield, inflicting 22033 Shadow damage to players at the landing locations of the eyes.
Eye of the Jailer

Titanic Death Gaze: The Eye of the Jailer focuses its energy into a massive blast, inflicting 22033 Shadow damage to all players.
Desolation Beam: The Eye of the Jailer desolates the soul of the target, inflicting 11010 Shadow damage and cascading to a target within 8 yds., increasing damage with each jump. (Normal, Heroic, Mythic)
Desolation Beam: The Eye of the Jailer desolates the soul of the target, inflicting 8262 Shadow damage and cascading to a target within 8 yds. (Raid Finder)
Soul Shatter: A surge of soul energy inflicts 27541 Shadow damage to the target and splits their soul in three. Shards of the shattered soul inflict damage to the target, reduce movement speed, and damage and healing done until the target joins with the pieces of their shattered soul.

Deathseeker Eye

Piercing Lens: The Eye propels a sharp pinpoint of force at a target, inflicting 22033 Physical damage.
Shared Suffering: When Deathseekers are within 30 yds. of each other they cast Suffering every 3 sec.

Suffering: Deathseeker Eyes erupt with 12129 Shadow damage and increase Shadow damage taken for 20% for 1 min.

Dying Suffering: Dead Deathseekers cast Suffering every 8 sec. while another Deathseeker is alive on the platform. (Normal, Heroic, Mythic)

Suffering: Deathseeker Eyes erupt with 12129 Shadow damage and increase Shadow damage taken for 20% for 1 min.

Slothful Corruption: Fatigues random targets with 3305 Shadow damage every 1.5 sec. for 21 sec, reducing spell casting, ranged attack speed, and movement by 40%.
Spreading Misery: The Deathseeker Eye spreads misery into the souls of random targets, inflicting 11 Shadow damage every 1 sec. for until canceled. Upon removal, the misery spreads to the ground beneath the target, leaving a pool of Jailer's Misery.
Scorn and Ire: Ejected Deathseeker Eyes afflict players within 70 yards with applications of Scorn or Ire.
When a player with Scorn collides with a player with Ire, it causes Scorned Annihilation. (Mythic)

Scorn: Scorn fills the player's soul, inflicting 734 Shadow damage every 1.5 sec. for 9 sec, this effect stacks.
Running into a player afflicted with Ire will cause Scorned Annihilation. (Mythic)
Ire: Ire torments the player for 734 Shadow damage every 1.5 sec. for 9 sec. This effect stacks.
Running into a player consumed with Scorn will cause Scorned Annihilation. (Mythic)
Scorned Annihilation: Hateful energies coalesce into a massive explosion, inflicting 110166 Shadow damage to all players within 10 yrds. of the detonation. (Mythic)

Stage Three: Immediate Extermination

Immediate Extermination: The Eye of the Jailer attempts to wipe out all mortal life around it, increasing its own attack speed by 50%, and inflicting 0 Shadow damage and reducing healing taken of all players by 10% every 6 sec.
Piercing Lens: The Eye propels a sharp pinpoint of force at a target, inflicting 22033 Physical damage.
Deathlink: The Eye of the Jailer inflicts 80 Physical damage to its current target, and the final damage taken will chain to 9 more players.
