When will the WoW Mobile App ever be complete? If you mean “complete” in the sense of integrating the social features currently missing from the app, like guild/community chat and the calendar, that’s actively being worked on and we’re aiming to get that functionality added in the coming months. So I recently returned to WoW and rolled a new character on a new server. I'd like to buy game time with gold, but I'm still at a low level and can't really farm gold for the token all that well.

I had some gold - not enough for a token, but a third of the way there - on my characters on my old realm, so I looked into ways I could somehow get that gold onto my new realm. I read that buying battle pets on one realm and selling them on another was the best way to do that.

So I bought a Pierre pet off the auction house. This was a month ago. This pet has been up on the auction house for over a month now. I simply cannot move him. Every time I put him up I list him for less. When I first bought him, he was going for twice as much on my new realm as on my old realm. Now I'm putting him up at a nearly 50% loss. When it started looking like I wasn't going to ever sell him, I went through my battle pets and put some up that were going for a good price on my realm, according to wow-pets.com - like a dozen of them. None ever sell, and they are all perpetually the lowest-priced ones on the auction house. They just keep coming back in the mail, and I keep putting them back up at the lowest price, and they inevitably come back in the mail again.

The last straw was just now. I was still trying to sell that damn Pierre, so I checked the auction house and saw that he was still there, listed at 28000g. I clicked him and then clicked what I thought was Cancel Auction - but it was actually just someone else's stupid Pierre, listed at the same exact price as mine. So now I have two of these useless pieces of junk. I had to laugh about it - finally, someone finally fucking buys a Pierre on my realm, and it's me. And someone else gets the gold, and now I'm set way back in trying to afford a token.

How do you sell battle pets? Is it a dead market? Do people just not buy them? Is there a better way to move gold between servers, if battle pets are a dead market? Is there any other way to make enough gold for tokens at low levels?

Pets individually are very slow sales. The money in them is having hundreds listed to make up for that fact and keeping profits high to make it worth the wait.

I sell about 1% of the number of pets I list per day per server. So when I'm listing 300-400 pets on each server that's 3-4 pets a day. When you're only listing a single pet it can take months with competition undercutting you or cheaper deals appearing from time.

I've always thought of pets as "Transmog+", they're both very slow, but reliable steady gold once you've got inventory. The + being that pets cost a LOT less to post(1 silver for 48 hours), and that pets can be moved from server to server for free if the market isn't great.

For making gold for a token and just getting started pets are not a good plan. Try flipping mats as prices flucuate throughout the week, crafting things, or just plain farming herbs or other things.

I wouldn't necessarily say that . I'd say easily 90% of all tradable pets are not useful for battling, most the great 'meta' pets for battling are non-tradable.

The best selling and fastest moving pets in my experience are the cheaper pets that are affordable for the average player 2k-10k, as well as the pets that are required for achievements such as the raiding with leashes pets. These pets often have more competition but move faster and can be found very cheap allowing for higher profits.

The few pets that are great for battling are actually often fairly cheap common pets such as Anubisath Idol.

Harder to get pets, or rarer pets worth over 50k are actually terrible for gold making in the shorter term. TCG pets for example regularly take months to sell and because they're rare it's harder to find them for high profit margins in the first place. Higher the price, the slower the sale.

Every raid tier has it's end, every boss becomes soloable, every upgrade gets replaced. But all the effort or gold you put into pets stays constant, a great pet collection from 3 expansions ago is still impressive, the pets are just as rare, and a lot of the have even increased in value over the years.

When the expansions start to die down people focus on doing the pet content, getting the achieves filling their collections, battling the content they missed and just picking back up where they last left off.

Changes to AuctionDB Pricing Data

After discussing with the community on Discord and reddit, we have decided to retire the 'global' level price sources in AuctionDB. Previously, this was a simple average between active regions (EU and US) - so if we were to add more regions in the future, such as Taiwan or Korea, this global price would logically average the price between all available regions which would no longer provide a valuable number. So after a transition period from the launch of 4.5, the following price sources will become invalid:

- dbglobalmarketavg
- dbglobalhistorical
- dbglobalsaleavg

You may follow the prompt in-game after updating to map these to equivalent region level pricing via a custom price, or remove them from your operations.

Automatic Profession Groups

We're very pleased to reintroduce this highly requested feature from TSM3, you can now create groups automatically based on your current professions!

Opening the profession window, selecting the Crafting Tab > Groups, there's a new option under the three-dot context menu to create a group for your profession with two sub groups - one with everything you can craft and another with all the materials required for those crafts.

This provides a great starting point for any profession work, and allows for full customization on grouping preferences once everything is in an initial group. Note that this does not move any items that are already grouped.

Import UI Improvements

When you're importing profiles or exports from your friends, you may not want to grab everything that comes with it. TSM now displays a better overview of what is to be imported and also allows you to remove specific items from the import before completion, as well as selecting to remove individual operations from the import. Once you're happy with what is being imported, confirming will only import what you have selected.

Task List Improvements

You will notice two additional entries to the Task List in 4.5 - you will now be prompted when you have expired auctions on a character, or mail that is about to expire to save it from being lost to the nether. You can hide these as usual with the 'eye' icon.

Improved Messaging

Two updates to specific messaging have been implemented. The first in Mailing will now provide a summed total amount of gold collected from a mailbox.

Secondly, when an attempt to purchase an item from Sniper fails, the message will now be more verbose and print the item link of the item in chat that failed to purchase - on the occasion that the item is still there you can search for it and try again.

Various Bug Fixes

Several client freezes and crashes have been addressed, along with an occasional memory leak. An issue with the Mailbox persisting after closing and several UI misheaviors have been fixed.

Greetings fellow Goblins,

A lot of you are probably familiar with Muffin's import strings for BfA BoEs (big shout out for all the work he does!). These strings have been very helpful to me in the past, but as they are based on the available AH data they "only" contain those item variations that have been seen on the AH before.

With a little bit of research and an understanding for how itemstrings and bonusIDs work I was able to generate import strings for all possible item variations that can drop, even though some of them are so rare that we will probably never see them in game (i395 + socket + leech titanforged raidfinder for example).

I created 3 rather large import strings that I'd like to share on my pastebin:

All BfA BoEs (Uldir & World Drops, 5180 items)
All Uldir BoEs (2400 items)
All BfA World Drop BoEs (2780 items)

Since these import strings are rather big, you can expect your game to freeze for a little bit when you paste the string into the import textbox of TSM. That's perfectly normal, just give it some time. If you happen to disconnect before being able to complete importing the string, try importing the two smaller import strings seperately instead of importing the big string.

I'd also like to note that you generally don't actually need to have all variations grouped, but now you have the option if you want to.

Hope these import strings are useful to at least some of you.
