BlizzCon is fast approaching, so we wanted to give everyone a heads up that the Wowhead Party is returning for 2017 on
November 2nd
!
Every year, Wowhead throws a free party for the BlizzCon community. This is our way of giving back to our community which supports us so much throughout the year. Whether you want to hang out with your guildmates, cheer on friends hoping to get prizes via the plushie claw machine, or meet your favorite content creators, we have something for everyone!
We've also set up a
BlizzCon Party
page here on Wowhead where you can reference basic details about the party as well as learn about other BlizzCon events the community is throwing!

Party Details
The Wowhead Party takes place the day before BlizzCon,
Thursday November 2nd, 2017
. Admission is
free
!
The party is in the same location as last year, 5th floor of the Hilton Anaheim, with registration on the 4th floor.
The party will start at 6pm and includes a livestream and show hosted by
TradeChat
, Warcraft-themed drinks, special prize areas, a photobooth with props, and a meet-and-greet with community members. Twitch streamer
Djarii
will be making an appearance as a special guest host, and
Darrie
from Method is helping us coordinate the VIP Meet & Greet and stage schedule--keep an eye out for her own blog with updates here on Wowhead soon!
At 10pm, the party will completely move to the chill afterparty on the 2nd floor! This will go until 2 am. Doors will open at 9pm to the afterparty which will also help alleviate lines during peak times as well. We added the afterparty in 2016, and it was such a success, we're bringing it back!
RSVP
will open October 12th to the public and is
free
. You can RSVP up to 2 people at once, to cut down on the potential for mass-ordering tickets and ticket-reselling abuse based on last year's feedback. We set up RSVPs to get a general idea of how many people are attending, and you'll still be able to attend the party without an RSVP--there may just be a slightly longer wait.
Party Prizes
Wowhead loves throwing giveaways throughout the year to show our appreciation for fans, from our Noblegarden scavenger hunt to our weekly Discord giveaways. BlizzCon is the culmination of our giveaways and we love finding ways to make it bigger and better each year.
We'll be featuring a prize wheel, plushie claw machines, on-stage giveaways, and much more! Let us know in the comments what BlizzCon merchandise you want to see as prizes and we'll make sure we order extra.
Oh and of course, there will be collectible Wowhead pins and velcro patches:
