After the patch 2.0.1 is released all of the Grand Marshal Weapons will no longer require a rank but instead a specific amount of Honor Points and Tokens aquired from each Battleground.

From the information obtained in the Public Test Realm the values should be:

22,500 Honor Points for One Handed weapons, Shields, and Ranged Weapons
+
20 Arathi Basin Tokens (Tomes and Ranged Weapons require 40)

45,000 Honor Points for Two Handed weapons
+
40 Alterac Valley Tokens

Blizzard seem not to have spawned this npc for TBC release. I talked with a GM about it and they said it's a mistake and that they are looking into it.

This all ther going to include, or are they going to introduce more 70 PvP weapons.... all the weapons arent even ther ie. gun, etc

WoW PvP is all about survival. The high stamina basically means you survive longer so having this on my toon has definitely helped me in all the pvp fights i've encountered. It's not even that hard to get...personally, I hate grinding PvP honor so I ordered it at www.yehforgames.com and was very satisfied. Oh yeah, I would put a lifesteal enchant on it to get the sporadic heals to survive even longer.

The only reason to PvP all the way to Grand Marshal is if you are in a terrible raiding guild. If you are in a even semi-decent guild, your tier 1 and tier 2 armor sets are far superior to these sets. The weapons are pretty good, but you can save yourself 3 months and just get something from MC/BWL/AQ40. Grand Marshal = Waste of time

After spending almost a year raiding to get my tier 2 this comes out. Now every idiot can get the same quality gear for about 5% of the work. :(

The point in changing the honor system and stuff was, that with BC, all the old items which are worse than t2 will become useless and crappy. Therefor blizz changed the honor system so that ppl. can get good equipment for bc now and don't have to replace up to 5-6 items with green stuff in BC. Cuz at the beginning of bc you will have replaced at least 2-3 items with green/blue stuff unless you have t2 or better. But even then there are items which are better than t2.

For example: The first day I played BC beta I found blue cloth legs which are way better than mage/warlock t2 legs. And they were for lvl 60 ! pwned...

Their are many points saying that these items are useless compared to raid items, well that depends on how you look at it because of the fact all epic items and all items for that matter that you get from battle is very very good for PVP as in battle thats not to say theres better items in raid but these are highly good in what they SHOULD be used for.
For me personally i find theres some good rewards worth going for but thats me i also like to raid but no harm in have a little variety to change from in a little 1v1

This has all changed now with the Arena weapons and armor avail in Champions Hall for honor points and Marks of Honor. Maybe we can get Thottbot to update the items avail from O'Neall and other quartermasters in CH.

you know.....considering, thats not bad because i spent 20g on a wep for me at lvl 29 when i did pvp.the most a wep here costs is like.....40g i thought it would have been more. =D

Since the latest patch, we dont need ranks anymore. But you still gotta farm for Honor in PvP and save up Marks. You dont buy it with money anymore, but with honor points and Marks.

i crossed down "at war" with stormwind and this guy got hostile. then i solo'ed him. np. all the hepix dropped. since im only 55 i dissenchanted all of them and got alot of nexus. totally worth it
