Prior to 2.1, you were able to avoid the charge by standing really close to Attuman when he mounted Midnight in the last phase. This "bug" has now been fixed, and someone will always be charged, it seems.

Simple Strategy:
2 tanks, 2+ healers, rest dps

OT tanks Midnight, at 95% MT hold Attumen away from group since he cleaves. DPS Midnight to 25% and Attumen will mount Midnight and boss's hps reset to whichever has more life.

When mounted, MT should be only one in front of Midnight, everyone else should be behind the horse looking at his tail. This will prevent any dps from taking damage from a cleave that seems to only damage players in the "cone" area of Midnight. Once Attumen is mounted, just a tank-n-spank situation.

Easy loots once your tanks and healers are geared for this battle.

If whoever is going to tank Attumen is a warrior or druid, it's a good idea to slap Midnight a couple times to get enough rage for the thunderclap or swipe that'll pick up Attumen. You'd be surprised how many OT's/MT's try to pick up a spawning mob by right-clicking the nameplate...

It's also possible to tank both of them at once with a single tank, but Midnight does do an occasional knockdown -- which can be pretty nasty if she does this the moment Attumen spawns, as well as dramatically slowing the tank's tps on both targets and limiting dps on Midnight.

Naturally lucky pally tanks don't have to worry about either of these because their consecrate happily ticks away while they're rolling around on the ground.

got it to drop 3 days ago first time i seen it drop in 4-5 months of raiding kara and i won the roll with a 100 =)

The reason why Midnight has never been looted is because when he gets to around 25% health or so, he merges with Attuman to form a new mob. It's practically impossible to kill Midnight before he merges.

he has to merge, ofc... midnight is an easy boss to kill, last raid it was without wipes, and on my warrior, who is in a guild thats not so imba...

u dont kill midnight, u simply just cant, when he is at 25 % he merge with attun, then u kill them and then u loot attune, not midnight

Midnight dosent drop anything because you cant loot her, as soon as you attack Midnight her "Master" the horseman comes out and attacks with her, when Midnight is at about 20% Health she and the Huntsman merge together, you cant loot Midnight only the merged form

How to kill:

1: Off tank pulls Midnight in his near corner. Then all DPS attacks Midnight.
2: At about 5%, Attumen comes out but don't attack him. Have the main tank drag attumen a little far from Midnight, just do it.
3: As the main tank gets Attumen's aggro, everyone else focus on attacking Midnight. When Midnnight is near death Attumen rides him.
4: The rest is just easy

My kara group was bugged! this guy didn't spawn, so a GM came and .killed the other boss and .summoned us to them. BTW i did it on the private server i go on.

Does attumen the huntsman go mad, like Mandokir in ZG does, if we kill his mount?

It's a horse to the left of the Kharazan entrance. you need to kill all the small horse mobs around him very quickly in order to get to him. Keep in mind that these small ones respawn after about 25? minutes, and midnight pulls any of them that are up.. so you have about 25 minutes to get through that small room/pull him/kill him. Midnight is only half the fight, when you drop him to about 95%, attumen the huntsman comes out as a seperate mob, starting that fight

sorry to say it, but Private servers is kinda cheap. and have no comparison to the "real" servers.

Any1 seen midnight drop the mount? killed it alot of times, but never seen it drop.
