It seems to me that he only spawns when you kill his friends at the east crystal, this is unconfirmed though.

You do not need to kill his friends by the east crystal, he was spawned for me when there were mobs all over the smaller crystal located just east of the main crystal.

I killed around one mob and he spawned. I was on the south edge face of the rock, then he spawned. Quite easy to take down, only special he does is a Gouge.

Confirming location. He was on the hill with a super slow spawn time. Didn't help to kill the mobs at the white stone.

Ok, I was just in here reading this when I read that he spawns every 6-7 min. then I got back on (swiched back to that screen) to go to the top of the hill and when I looked he was right there, just spawned. I was at 42,71. that is where hespawns, I dont know about where he goes after that.

He wanders around at 42,72. He is a rogue, really easy to kill. Did him as a level 65 Holy pala, didn't even needed to heal myself once. He doesn't have much hp and he doesn't hit hard either. Easy xp!

Easy experience eh? with use of wowhead I'm sure lol. This quest would actually be a bit challenging considering some of these comments without it. This dude seems to spawn on or around the hill to the east of Ohsu gun and pats around it, respawn time is about 7 or so minutes as mentioned, easy kill too.

Well, as soon as I found him a Shadow Priest swooped down and killed him =P He goes back and forth between the hill immediately south of Tusker and the little micro-hill south of that.

gava xi is a bit hard to find, if you look at the map on thottbot to show his location you will see that it spans out a portion of land east of the Oshu'gun crystal formation, The easiest way to find him is to go to the east part of oshu gun and look at your map. you should be able to see light green patterns around oshu gun where there is soil or crystals. Pointing directly east is one such crystal formation in light green, sort of guitar shaped. if you go to the east side of this small formation and look south you can see a nearby steep hilltop, if you stand at the base of the cliff on the west facing side he should run past you soon

Also i should add that ive been minimized for a few minutes while typing this post and gava xi has not killed me, so i assume he has a respawn time of at least 4 or 5 minutes, if you see others nearby hunting him group up to save yourself time

Hes really easy to find hes black not like the other ones taht are gray, brown,purple, and blue hes by a guitar shaped sign hes not that hard to findjust run past the rick a little and BAM there he is

i did exactly wat shadowslight said and i stood there for like 5 mins watingf for gava'xi to come by thats when i start rdidng around adn saw him circling the hill i was supposed to stand by so my theroy is that he cirles around.

btw the crystal thing does look like a guitar

use humonid tracking to watch out

for other bosses.

He first spawns at 42,73. I was checking thott to see if I was at the last place and when I brought WoW back up he spawned right on top of me. I dont know if he goes down from the hill and circles around but I know that he first spawns on top. If you do not see him on top he is either dead or circling around.

The coord's are (43,75) Easy take down!

He spawns on top of the hill at 42;73. After a bit he runs down the slope and starts to cirle around the North side of that hill. Be careful of the rock elemental on the slope with him. If you wait for him to come down and around, the elemental is not an issue. VERY easy kill.

for me this was a b*tch to find i went there 5-6 times and no mob so i left thinking somebody had already killed him after the 5th or 6th time i said screw it and waited at the coord and he spawned in 30 secs i looked around afterwards and nobody was around that could have killed him before me so i think you may have to wait for him to spawn it only took me bout 30 secs when i was standing right on the coord at the tip of the hill

I stood at hte bottom of the hill for about 10 minutes waiting for him to spawn. When I finally decided to kill the elemental that was there, he spawned less than 30 seconds. So the spawn spot might have to be empty for him to spawn.

He walks a bit around. I waited at least 10 minutes by the crystal formation for him to spawn, when I suddenly saw him a bit away. He walks from the formation and a bit SW.

Found him at 43.72, he seems to wander around east of oshu'gun at spirit fields.

Spawned near one of the large crystal shards east of Oshu'gunwehre the Arcanists and Raiders are. And by near, I mean almost touching the crystal. Just sit tight, gather crystals, bonk ethereals, farm voidspawn for motes and cloth, and he will show up.

using the command '/tar Ga' (/target Gava'xi) helps too if you can't see him. He's a slightly darker colour raider.
