These mobs can be "gathered" after you kill them if you have 320 herbalism for the level 64 ones, and 325 herbalism for the level 65 ones.

this mob can be a real pain sometimes. They heal themselves and if you pull more than one they heal each other. If you plan on farming these for motes of life it is, in my opinion not worth the trouble of dealing with them healing if not killed fast enough. These will also heal the Rotting Forest-Rager's that roam the area Motes of Life are better in Zangermarsh... Again this is just my opinion

These guys are pains in the rear, for sure. Not a great idea for anyone (I'm a 66 prot pally) looking to mass grind. There is no limit to how many times they can heal themselves or each other and they heal for 1k-3k each time. Their health seems to greatly vary. The only consolation is that they really don't hit hard (about 100 per hit on plate with 10k armor).

For a class that can kill quickly, do so - they probably aren't a huge problem if you can knock them before they heal 700 times in a row - but for the classes/specs who tend to have to have endurance on their side, these guys will give you a run for your patience - and sanity.

I decided to grab a couple of trees on my way back to the hold, downed one in 3 mins and sat there fighting the other for literally 10 minutes. The first had about 6k health, but the second had 12,832. It was basically like two idiots standing there slapping each other for 10 mins. A prot pally with no mana is not very hard-hitting!

The 3rd one I fought had 6k health but at least dropped a mote of life!

I'm not sure about hunter pets, but when I let my voidwalker kill the mites that spawned, it didn't count towards my quest total.

As a balance druid, these were perfect for grinding weapon skill. Seeing as they infinately heal themselves, I could just start attacking one and do something else on the computer for awhile, then go back and heal myself up, and repeat. I did this for like 20 minutes on one tree.

These go well with Grinding Netherweb Spider Silk off of these The two mobs are close together, and you can farm the spiders while going south, and the trees while coming back up north to take advantage of their respawns.

Primal mooncloth tailors/anyone who wants to make a profit off of silk, rejoice!

lol dont try to kill these if u cant dps well. Im a prot pali, and it took me about 5 min 2 kill one, because he would heal almost as fast as i was dpsing. the only reason i killed em was SoC, my 2h MC drop,earthshaker, and HoJ. If u are a holy priest, or otherwise cant dps well, get a group.

Please if you are going to farm anithing, be ready to DPS the hell out of what ever it is. Mind me saying that you should not compare healer or prot agianst a Dps raged Warlock or even dual sword wielding rogue.... especialy a rogue since they do justa about everything in denieing their prey any breathing time, even to cast instant heal.

and Ps priest thinks he can out DPs a Paly Retre
thats something i would like to see.

talk about it i roll these babies over like a frait train with my paly 64 retre, even take on 2 or 3 at the same time and they still fall like Drunken Flys.

kill about 5 or 6 before I have to rest and get my mojo on agian.

I've killed about 24 of these things without one mote drop, according to my math that's about a 0.1003% chance of happening. Too bad I couldn't have just gotten a world drop instead of wasting my time trying to get a few primals.

i have also noticed that they will not only heal each other endlessly with a 1500 point intial heal plus 200 per tick HoT, they will also heal Bonelashers in a fight too...

if you agro 2 of em they'll heal each other which makes it 300% harder. isolate them.
