Found/Mined one. Got 5 hits out of it. Mining it is orange to me at 363.

Edit: Got lucky, found another one. Again, 5 hits. (Both of these were in Nagrand around 60,56 area, not that it would affect data)

When they say "rich", they mean rich. Got 7 hits out of one and 6 out of another...

I too have got some "rich" luck with these. I got 8 hits on one in Nagrand producing 5 eternium and an arcane crystal along with the 8 initial ore 0_0

I personally was able to reach 375 Mining without ever touching anything but Fel Iron. So, they really should have made Fel Iron stop counting at around 340 or something.

When I first saw a Rich Adamantite Deposit, figured I'd get like 3-4 hits like Rich Thorium ... was pleasently surprised!

Uhm. I'll add that the deposits do have a chance to mine out rare gems on my server (Dragonblight-EU) even though it doesn't actually state this on this site. I have no clue why... Yes, I did verify this with a few other guild mates before posting this.

They also have the same chance to drop motes of earth as normal adamantite, to answer a previous poster.

Each vein can carry 5-8 Ores and has a chance not only to drop the green gems listed but a chance to drop the following blue gems (Other sites record this as a 0.1% chance to drop, however there is some speculation as to whether this was buffed 2.0.10. From my own personal experience I have had blue gems drop quite regularly from mining after 2.0.10)

As far as the best possible place for regular adamantite deposits as well as rich is definitely in Shadowmoon Valley at Netherwing Ledge.

I farm out 28 stacks of adamantite alone in an hour, no joke (depending on how many swings I get per mine). Usually come across 5 regular deposits and 2-3 rich ones and just keep flying around for respawns.

I've honestly never come across so many mines in a small space, especially with such a good turnout of rich deposits thrown in the mix. This is hands down the best spot I've found.

I suggest AVOIDING nagrand - too many players going there, and the area is huge.

After many runs in Netherstorm and SMV and Nagrand, I have developed the best mining route possible for Adamantite, Rich Adamantite, and Khorium. It's in Nagrand. Netherstorm and SMV have some nice clusters but you still get less ore overall than with this circuit.(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##

i got about 30 primal earths,and like 7 blue gems from farming these in about an hour. these really are "rich" deposits.

In my experience the chance per hit of getting a blue gem out of a rich node is no more than a regular adamantite node. However, with rich nodes you get more hits, so the law of permutations is on your side.

Nonetheless, when you see one of these you've hit the motherlode. You can expect at the bare minimum 5-8G out of these blue babies from the ore alone, and that's not counting motes/gems. I've gotten up to 2 full Primals worth of Earth motes out of a single node (an 8G value on Vashj), so that's 16G without even getting particularly lucky!

I've found these like to spawn at the bottom of the 2 lakes in Nagrand as well as the ogre caves in the clefts.

heres the most effective way i've found start. at telaar go southwest until you start to hit the rocky outcrop and follow the entire west edge of nagrand if you have a flyer try exploring the twilight ridge. but be warned theres a 73 elite that wanders theres and can kill you/knock you off your flyer fast. continue following the mountains until you hit warmaul hill explore the two caves there (in my experiance 4-5 nodes there). then head west towards the laughing skull ruins and explore the 2 caves (the 1 at the top may not have any but somtimes has 1 near the entrance or inside) .then head towards northwind cleft and explore that cave (2-3 nodes) continue in the halaari basin until you hit right beside halaa and head west towards sunspring lake (usually 1-3 nodes). continue south towards southwind cleft and explore the cave (2-3 nodes) then head towards the burning blade ruins and explore that general area including the cave. then head towards the kill'sorrow fortress and give it a quick runthrough. thats what is most effective for me in roughly 1 hour i got adamantite 47 ores 3 khorium ores 6 primal earth several green gems and a arcane crystal all on the server Hydraxis

Rich Adamantite Deposit is giving 5-7 Ore... alongs with Motes of Earth / Green Gems / Blue Gems

while Adamantite Deposit is giving 2-4 Ore...and everything else are the same as Rich one.

If you see a Rich Adamantite Deposit appear on your minimap and it's in one of the ogre caves in Nagrand, and you see signs of someone having been there very recently (i.e., dead ogres), skip it. It's probably another miner who saw it before you and is, even as you fight his respawns in a desperate attempt to get to the back of the cave, mining the deposit dry.

I sound bitter/resentful, but from personal experience it's true. Save yourself the wasted effort/frustration and skip the ogre cave deposits if you can see dead bodies outside...I should know, it happend to me FOUR !@#$%*& TIMES in a one-hour period yesterday...grr...

Im on a crowded server so these are not common to see in the Outland zones. However they work the same as a Rich Thorium Deposit, 4-6 hits. Does anyone know if it matters how long the deposit has been untouched as to how much it yields?

Have they removed blue gem drops from adamantite veins? :( I have farmed nagrand for 3 days straight without one blue drop.

So where the heck have the Arcane Crystals gone from Adamantite and Rich Adamantite? I plucked as many as 3 from a SINGLE Rich Adamantite Deposit in the beta - but not one has been seen in any Adamantite Deposit during the first 3 weeks of BC?

The best place is Nagrand, that place has an abundance of Adamantite Veins, especially in the caves at Warmaul Hill.
