Fearable, can be soloed by warlocks. Pulls you to him with a magnetic ray, and crits for 2.2k, so reapply fear before it runs out.

I could almost solo him as a lvl 66 feral druid. AL-most man. Rogue was passing through for the quests as well so we teamed up... took him down without a single hitch. The rest of the quests in the chain, debt collecting etc, were super easy. Prob soloable for feral druids at least.

Pull him back in the water, but for my group he was in the back of Forge Camp: Hate. We swam around the lake to avoid the adds and dealt with him quickly.

Lvl 67 Shadow Priest (me), Lvl 67 Tauren Hunter (Dradyn), and a prot spec Tauren Warrior (Tanaka) on the Draka server.

Soloed as fresh lvl70 casterdruid. Just keep him off with entangling roots and he wont be a problem. Plenty of space for kiting

Can be snared/rooted. Doable with some difficulty as a 70 frost mage, be aware of the magnetic tether that pulls you to him periodically.

the magnet pull is exploitable, like move behind when he's casting it and you will be not moved, if you fail just have blink ready for the occasion (he hits for 1200 :P)

Did this quest as a lvl 67 Demonology Warlock. I enslaved a Mo'arg Engineer who was just right next to the Master Planner (17,50). Easy as pie =)

Soloed this as a level 66 elemental shaman.
But that said, I've got to admit I used Earth Elemental, drank a mana potion and got quite lucky with my crits when my elemental died at 22%.

I was oom when the fight was over, so this might not be possible as an elemental shaman, when Clear Casting gets nerfed.

I was awarded 2545 xp for the kill alone, without rested xp. :)

mmm maybe you need 2 or more, i did this with 66 frost mage and 66 rogue, rogue used just cheap shot and kidney.. some times couge.. next quest was soloable with mage.. i tried solo only once this q. only where i wiped was Felguards.. those fel cannons made bad dmg

Solo'd as a 67 frost mage. Just kite him around and blink when he pulls you. Pretty simple.

Very easy to solo as a 70 shadow priest. But I had to kill him twice. The first time, his named was greyed out, as if someone else had tagged him, but no one was around, strangely, and he was at 100%. So I had to kill him, wait for a respawn, and kill him again.

Just soloed as 67 Affli lock. Grabbed an engineer, let him "tank" until he died, then did the fear-kite trick. Works like a charm.

Solo'd as a lvl 66 frost mage. he's the same as the engineers but packing a whole lot of punch.

Just abuse ice barrier as soon as he pulls you too him (its about every 30 seconds so you should be ok)

As a lvl 66 Frost mage, this is soloable. The key is keep as much distance as possible. I used my Water Elemental and Ice Block to have the elite bounce between us when I pulled aggro. I used Cold Snap to get my Elemental up again when he died.

Other than that, just nuke away Frostbolt/Ice Lance when frozen. No pots etc. Just be careful when he pulls you in with his ability. Make sure you have Ice Barrier up and blink out/ice block fast.

Solo'ed as 68 elemental shammy. Dropped Wrath of Air, Stonekin, Mana Spring and Fire Elemental Totem. Just frost shock kited him around with the fire elemental pounding on him. Hits for about 650-700 on mail. Can be soloed by lightning bolt + frost shock kiting him, but is definitely easier with an elemental totem. Good luck!

Solo'ed twice (once for quest, second for friend) without any difficulty what-so-ever as a 66 frost mage. The key isn't to keep distance, the key is to stay just out of melee range. He won't pull you forward as often. Otherwise, keep your ice barrier up, when he pulls you in just blink away. Alternate between frost nova and ranged freeze with your elemental and you will have very little trouble. No need to even kite. Very simple, only one use of elemental.

His stats: 24k HP, hits for a little over 1k on cloth.
My stats: 5k HP, shatter combo just shy of 4k, alternated fire blast in between freezes for a bit extra dmg, 5 rounds of shatter to drop him. Didn't even use half my mana and only lost around 1k HP.

Soloable as a BM hunter, at least at 70 (tried it at 67 and got slaughtered; didn't try again until 70, because I was impatient and wanted to level).

The key to it is Freezing Trap (he's not immune to it).

Put down a trap, wait out the CD, send your pet in (or MD to the pet), and start burning him down, while doing your best to keep your pet healed. When your pet is down on health (which it will be unless you get lucky with misses - the Master Planner does more damage than Mend Pet can outheal), just recall your pet (click "follow" on the pet bar) so the Master Planner walks into the trap.

Move away, put down a trap, heal your pet to full (use bandages, if necessary), send pet in, rinse and repeat.

The same strategy can also be used to solo the follow-up quest (Patience and Understanding).

Solo'd as a Holy Pally, had to use one mana pot. SoC, SoV and SoR when at max SoV then start it over again. Stun when the fight first begins so its back up mid fight.

All epics and was wearing some T4 stuff but nothing too good.

Did this as a 66 affliction warlock. Enslaved a nearby elite demon, dotd and swung with my newly enslaved pal, worked like a charm.

Summon one of your demons and sacrifice him for a little bonus (if you have the talent) them Enslave a Demon (be higher you can) and do the quest solo.

there's elites and random adds on the east side so be careful of that

also he hits like a truck. during the first try he pulled me on top of him and double crit me before the first hit even registered on my side. Insta-glib.

Yeah I just managed to solo this guy at 66, as an elemental mage, he's a 68 elite with one ranged attack - a magnetic thing that drags you closer to him, as long as you save blink for when he does this you should be fine. If you have less that 8k or so mana I'd bring some pots and make sure you have your ruby/citrines conjoured etc etc :)

I just solo'd this guy with my 66 frost mage, first try. Granted, I had the following buffs:

Adepts Elixir (24 SD, 24 crit)
Well Fed (20 stam)
Fort

Still, he was pretty challenging, and I challenge any other mages, or any other class to see if they can do the same.

soloed 68 Rogue (41/2/16).

Basically, I started off by heading to the area where the master planner is in, which is around 23,33 (Forge Camp: Hate). He's a 68 Elite, hits like a truck on leather, so kiting with gouge and ks was a MUST. he has around 28k life so expect a long fight. Make sure you have crippling poison up on at least one weapon, makes the job a whole lot easier. His only ability is a move called magnetic pull, and it basically drags you close to him. The distance is random (I remember being pulled a few steps away amd another time being pulled straight into him) and the cast is pretty fast. The key to this fight is strategy and patience. I died 3 times before I got my act together and actually finished the quest. The problem for me was his rediculous damage, hitting for up to 3k a crit! I would always panic when i missed a gouge and KS, leaving me w/ the option of blinding or bombing (an option I usually didn't take b/c I'm pretty asian with money -_-). What I'd advise is to use the river to the west of the camp in kiting him. The path down to the waterfall is more than enough room to get distance. Also, a tall cliff near the river can be used effectively to "block" the magnetic pull (hug the cliff). If he ever pulls you in, make sure you're ready to gouge or stun. The damage adds up, fast. You'll be surprised what a couple of 3k crits can do.

How I started off was CS -> Mutiliate (Usually reach max combo) then get distance-> KS -> Mutilate x2 (Usually max Combo) -> get more distance then repeat. Save gouge for magnetic pull. Adds shouldn't be a problem since they are spread apart. Took me about 5 mins to kill. Bandaged twice. Also, blind and bombs/grenades are your friend. Have fun.

The Master Planner

Descrizione

All forge camps have a master planner. The master planner dictates what types of structures are present at a forge camp and how each structure is situated. Moreover, this information is kept on a set of blueprints that the planner carries around on their person.

We need the master planner's blueprints. Armed with such exacting information, we could persuade an acquaintance of mine to lend some assistance.

Find the mo'arg master planner and take his blueprints. He will be stationed behind the forges.
