They are far from dropping 1/4 for me, but they ARE dropping. Location is right.

edit: Actually rather funny. It seems the ones farther north in the camp are dropping them more often. I got 4 in a row there, but couldn't get even one to drop a little farther south. Strange...

Do this the same time as "The Outcast's Plight" from Vekax up in the tree at 52,16 in the lower city. 30 drops off the same mobs.
Repeatable, increases rep with Lower City by 250.

I guess I'm just really unlucky, or they changed the drop rate. I've killed about 20 and haven't had one drop. And yes, I'm sure I'm killing the right thing.

With the listed 10% drop chance on these there is about a 12% chance that you don't get any from 20 kills, so for each 20 mobs you kill theres a 1 in 8 chance you don't see any drop.

The neck https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=25928 is actually (in my opinion) better than the one you get from killing Gurok the Usurper (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9853) which is very strange since that is an elite quest plus it's higher level, you get 9 healing 3 dmg and one Int more than the Gurok quest reward, however this neck has 4 less mana / 5sec but I still deem this one better.

Took at least 10 to get the first one and at least another 10 to get the second. Then the third and fourth were the next two after that. Then another 5 for the 5th. Pretty hit or miss, go figure.

Finding this place isn't hard it's due south of Shattrath but mobs are everywhere off the road, so to make it a little easier: follow the road south to the Lost Caravan, it's in the scorched area called the Bone Wash. You'll get "discovery" xp once or twice on your way and when you get there. There are several quests u can pick up there among the refugees if u want. Go east from the caravan watching for worgs, spiders, and tree-men... it's easy to slip through, kill one or two is all... watch for the tree-houses and bonfires of the Dreadhawk camp. I got all 5 items just camped on the edge and took out the easy kills it took about 20 minutes without breaking a sweat. The Dreadhawks like to use bow and arrow but the Windrippers will chase you they're easy to pull compared to the others.

Easy quest, I am a 62 hunter and I soloed it in about ten minutes, went to 32, 38.
And I had a great drop rate, hope you do to.

the droprate does seem to be much better on the treetop area...not sure if its jst how the percentages worked out, but i was 1/4 on the ground, 1/1 on the trees

I got a 1 for 1 on windrippers - Drop that is. Be advised you dont wanna long drawn out fight with them if U R a clothie.

Well after killing 10 I finnaly got my first drop, killed about 25 and have 2 atm. Have to log, maybe I'll have better luck when I get back.....

Droprate is not that great. Expect to kill some 20+ to get the goods. Also Horde have some quests there, so you have to compete to get your mobs. The wand gives some 4g at vendor

My drop rate was 40%, not great and not terrible, average quest.

I found that the Windrippers have a high drop but not quite 100%

Dreadhawks or Windrippers both work. I killed 10 with no luck, then got all 5 back to back kills.

8 kills 5 packages,

i thought i would get them in the first 5 as the first 4 dropped, then had to kill another 4 before the last one drop, i see that as a good drop rate :)

I killed about 10 of them on the forest floor and got 2 drops.

I went up the slope and started killing the ones on the rope walkways - 3 kills, 3 drops.

To complete this quest you need to bring 5 Lathrai's Stolen Goods to Wind Trader Lathrai.

Make your way to the southwest of Shattrath to Veil Skith area. You need to leave the city through the eastern passage and follow the road to the wastes area.
Turn to the west and follow into the forest, you should spot several arakkoa mobs, all of them drop Lathrai's Stolen Goods - drop chance is medium.

And what was the name of this merchant? Empoor? Are you certain that he's one of the Broken? I don't do much business with their kind.

Perhaps my memory would be jogged if you were to do me a favor?

The Skithian arakkoa - primitive casters that they are - recently stole a huge shipment of my more exotic goods. I want it all back!

You can find Veil Skith just to the south of Shattrath City.
