Turn in quest to guy at very top of tower.

Hang around, he'll give another quest.

You get a -50% damage debuff as soon as you cross the electric fence, but it does not appear to apply to spell damage (at least my spells ignored it).

Even with the debuff this guy is a piece of cake, and is easier than the mobs outside the tower when you're not debuffed!

I don't know how but this debuff doubled my damage! i did about 2500 per mangle (crit) to Ar'kelos and can confirm with a screenshot ^^

i think the aura does reduce your damage, but it could be that the mob you have to kill takes increased damage as compensation.

that or the aura is massively bugged, or even just to scare stupid people.

4 all of u the aura DOES reduce dmg, u will do alot of more dmg to him without that aura, i cheat a little to prove it, im a lock and i put my demon on the stairs and i attack him from outside, my unest aflic normally does 325 of dmg per sec, but standing outside was doing 653! i kill him just with that dot cuz my computer crash cuz a wave of lag, them i came back and it was dead. so chech it out if u have pets or something cuz if he touch the fense will going on evade mode, i didnt try my shadowbolt, may HIT 2600??? by the way, really easy to kill him normally and like this =) coords are correct

I didnt even use the staff to summon. I accepted the quest and went to use the restroom (#1 for those interested ;)) and when I came back he was standing right beside me and the questgiver =P

It's the same stupid elemental that you had to fight every single time you entered the tower to deliver the other quests... It's no more difficult than a normal mob.

Paying the mage a visit...

the Elemental is found at the ground floor of the tower at 58,86 after you kill him you wont be using the staff any more to get the image of the mage... this time you will be talking to the mage himself at the top of the tower.

Paladins have it extra easy it seems. I just used bubble one time and then the curse went off and never came back. Until I went out and in the tower. So I got new dmg records on the guy all the time because I lost the debuff. I 3 shot the guy.

The debuff applies to everything, but Ar'kelos takes 2x damage from everthing to counteract this. I found this out by running outside the range of the tower, then icelancing Ar'kelos and it did almost 4k damage

super easy for a warlock...i just ran in with my felguard and he hit just like normal with normal damage...the mob went down in 20 seconds...easy quest

This chain continues on, and eventually leads to the Botanica. However, the rewards you get here are the last rewards you'll get besides gold.

Botanica is a cool instance, and worth doing. But don't break your back finding a group just to finish this chain, cuz all you're getting is gold.

Enter the Violet Tower at the center of Kirin'Var Village and defeat Ar'kelos, then speak with Archmage Vargoth.

Descrizione

Now that you've gathered all the items I'll need to break Kael'thas's curse, one thing remains to be done. When Kael'thas sealed the tower, he placed an arcane golem, known as Ar'kelos, at the bottom of the tower.

You must defeat Ar'kelos in order allow me to work magic within the tower again.

When you enter the Violet Tower, the curse will begin to affect you.

Once you have defeated Ar'kelos, ascend the tower and assist me in making preparations for the ritual.
