If you go to Area 52 and accept the quest "You're Hired!" before completing this one, this quest will be unavailable. Just drop "You're Hired!" and you can get this one. Only really worth noting if you want every last bit of quest XP or Gold you can get.

I just now entered Netherstorm for the first time and this guy doesn't have the quest for me. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Seems you guys already have a quest "A strange vision" (toked in nagrand).

Important to note: You may only accept one of the five quests to initially seek out the rocket chief, and this quest is by far the best. The others offer no gold reward and less experience than this one, which weighs in at 3050 instead of 1150.

Make sure to grab this particular quest if you're looking to get the most out of the opportunity.

The quest 'Assist Exarch Orelis' should be added to that list. I had that one in my quest log and was unable to pick up any of the quests listed. When I abandoned it, the others immediately became available.

You will have to drop Report to Spymaster Thalodien to get this one too.

Flight is just outside of area 52
just walk outside area 52 and circle are 52 you will see it

When meeting this guy on the way to Netherstorm I could get quest but friend in group could not, simply wasn't offered it.

When in Area 52 friend had a quest ( Speak with Spymaster Thalodien ) to go see a guy there but when trying to share it it said I had already done it.

It was our boths very first visit to Netherstorm.

It seems those two quests block each other.

If you picked up A Strange Vision in Nagrand you will not be able to pick up this quest. But you turn A Strange Vision into the same guy and get essentially the same reward.

Like the breadcrumb quests for Shadowmoon Valley, the breadcrumbs for Netherstorm are mutually exclusive. These breadcrumb quests are as follows:

A Strange Vision from Seer Nakha in Nagrand
Out of This World Produce from Old Orok in Balde's Edge Mountains

Report to Spymaster Thalodien from Arcanist Raestan or Arcanist Savan in Shattrath
Assist Exarch Orelis from Vindicator Aeus and Vindicator Kaan at Shattrath

Off to Area 52 from Netherologist Coppernickles in Netherstorm

Please note that Report to Spymaster Thalodien is a Scryer's quest, and may not be available for Aldar. For Scryers, this means it also rewards 10 reputation. Likewise, Assist Exarch Orelis is an Aldar quest with the same conditions.

Please also note that Off to Area 52 rewards 2g 83s compared to the 69s of the other breadcrumbs. Although this quest is technically in Netherstorm, it's actually on the Gyro-plank bridge to Netherstorm from Blade's Edge.

Fun Fact: Off to Area 52 used to award 1g and had it's own breadcrumb that awarded 1g 86s but that quest never made it out of beta.

Why don't you deliver my latest research notes to Rocket-Chief Fuselage? I'm sure that he'd have plenty for you to do, what with the X-52 rocket ship, and all!
