Very easy to solo as a combat rogue. Just clear out a few of the draenei ghosts before you start, and walk around with Mark V beating up anything that gets close to him. You may occasionally get 2 or 3 ghosts to deal with at once if you're the only person in the area, but if there's anyone else farming the other 2 quests in this area, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

No additional adds spawn, just the ghosts that are already in the city.

He will go pick up 3 items amidst the city.

Despite the quest text, he can take a good beating, so don't be afraid to let him offtank.

Largest group I ever had to deal with was 3, so with CC/him tanking, it was a cakewalk.

Rewarded 7g90s in addition to the experience.

Mark V has loads of armor and health. Let him tank a few mobs and kill whatever one he starts attacking, move on to the next mob, and so on.

Would take a good 5 mobs beating on him before you have to start to worry about his health getting low.

He also regens back to 100% immediately after exiting combat.

I'm not sure why it recommended 2 players. Easy to solo as a 69 warrior (fury).

The quest takes about six to seven minutes. I did it solo as a healing priest in damage equipment at 4am in the morning (nobody else was there). At most I had three adds which were do-able. There was always enough time to sit and drink. I did it at 70, but I think damage dealers shouldn't have any trouble doing this quest at 67 or 68.

For whatever reason, Mark V inexplicably vanished after a fight on the bridge. So watch out for that.

Soloed with a shadow priest lvl 70.

pretty easy, just let the robot aggro the mobs, if there are more than 1 shackle one and kill the other.

The robot will walk around the ruins getting some stuff, there is also time to do little mana breaks.

Another "easily solo'd". 69 rogue, only had brief trouble when I accidentally pulled three. The robot can take a lot of damage.

This was an easy solo as an Arms warrior. Follow behind him, and let him get all the aggro and peel them off one by one. Bandage after fights.

yet another "easy solo" comment. On 1 mob pulls, I'd just let him take em down to 80% and start wanding them to death. Easiest "group" quest ever.

Easily soloed as a 68 Enhancement Shaman, and I didn't clear anything ahead of time. Did it with the quests You're Hired! and Rebuilding the Staff.

Easy to solo with my 67 rogue... just make lot of bandage and vanish, but a important thing is that u all the time u have to go in stealth (if u are a rogue). It was so easy with my holy specced pally that I even didn't take any bandages :D

Soled as a 68 feral driud with no problems. The robot can tank pretty good if needed. At one point I did have to deal with three mobs at the same time but, it was pretty easy.

68 elemental shaman....this was almost TOO easy to solo. I only saw 2 mobs at once at the most. This definatly needs to be marked as a solo quest and not a 2-man. I was yawning more than anything.

Hell, I could solo it as a level 69 fire mage. I can't solo ANY group quests (almost). This guy can't do much damage but he can take a lot; just focus down one mob at a time, even if they attack you. They aren't elite. Don't go too far away from him to grab the crystals though or he'll despawn!

Soloed easily as a 67 demonology lock. Felguard cleaved and bot off-tanked. CoW on any large groups(3-4 mobs at once). Relativly easy solo.

I am unsure why this quest is marked as a group; it was easily soloable on three of my characters so far. Ret paladin in holy gear; feral druid, and a rogue. Rogue soloed it at level 70, druid at 67; and paladin at 68. I never got close to dying, just had to be careful while you did it. I suggest doing You're Hired! with this quest.

I just soloed this as a level 69 feral druid, i noticed if you get attack by a mob and Mark.V is still running to the destination if you run to him and attack the mob attacking you he'll stop going on witout you and help you kill him a good way to stop him going without you if you ask me!

Quest name is a reference to the movie "Short Circuit", where the robot Johnny 5 evolves intelligence, and when they try to destroy it, its defense is "Johnny 5 is alive!"

Nah, super east, Max can tank up to 3 or 4 adds himself while you work on the others. Not like the other escorts where you must get aggro where the guy dies. Solo'd as a 67 rogue.

Ok, so im gunna date myself here... but so worth it. I LOVE the pop (and not so pop) culture this game uses in its quest names. Max a Million Mark V; named after a sentry (called Maximillion) in a movie from 1979 titled The Black Hole. (31 56) Is quest giver and return. Max takes you on a tour, says best to use two for this one. I solo'd easy enough at 69. Just clear mobs ahead as best you can before he agros.
ALSO, the "Mark V" portion of the name Im hoping is for V.I.N.CENT. (Vital Information Necessary CENTralized); another robot in the aformentioned movie.

I got the same bug as Manabot except right at the beginning. The robot just disappeared completely, no warning, and the quest didn't say it failed either. I just abandoned it and started over.

Soloed at 67 BM Hunter ... just pulled mobs 1 at a time when they got in range so i avoided geting more then 2 or 3 on me at one time. Only one really bad spot on second crystal, had to work with 3 at one time. thank god the mark V is no sissy

So other than easy can anyone answer the question of what happens to the bot... obviously if it was easy it was completed. I got about 20 ft from the end and he warped then dissappeared. Tried to reobtain the quest after abandoning it and the robot does not respawn to give it to me. I did not recieve a credit of completion nor a fail. 69 Druid on Doomhammer

That level 66 Hunter - he must have had some snappy duds!

I soloed this as a level 69 hunter and it was well hairy.
My best advice is to do the two quests involved cystals and flawless things
within the ruins first. This way you more or less clear the interior. Then quick
grab the quest just outside the ruins and off you go.
The robot goes around detroying the cannon you see around the place - I think he does about three. Anyway, he comes back to the quest point on a sunken track outside of the ruins.

Its not that bad but if you try and do this without clearing part of the way
imho you will get into trouble.

Easily solo'ed on 68 warlock. No reason for this to be marked as a group quest.

Just stay close to Mark V and let mobs aggro him. Almost always had solo mob battles (had 1 add maybe 2 total times)

If the quest giver is not there when you arrive, you'll have to wait because it takes a little bit of time for him to re-spawn.

As is the case with most, if not all, escort quests in Burning Crusade.

Greetings, <race>. I am charged up and fully functional.

There are fragile draenei machines in these ruins, which I must retrieve. I am equipped with delicate servos in my wrist actuators, and the latest in combustion-pneumatic bump soakers. Handling them with care will not be an issue.

However, the ghosts that haunt these ruins will likely attack, so I will need you and your friends along for protection.
