The above location worked for me. When you blow the horn, Urtak will show up and attack you. I didn't have time to stealth, as a rogue. He doesn't hit too hard, but he seems to have an absolute ton of hit points, so it's a good thing that a whole swarm of ghosts come help you kill him. Quite nice of them, really. :)

If you lack coordinates, click on Urtak in the quest above. It'll show him at the location. Look for the hunk of wood with a staircase in it.

The summoning horn is an instant cast. This allows AOE spec'd characters to not have to wait to clear any surrounding Mobs before summoning Urtrak.

Urtrak had 6700 HP and uses primarily (if not exclusively) melee attacks

this is like the kinda quest thats a throw away u get lots of exp and u just have to get the first hit off on him, like 6 unyielding soldiers help u hes cake. coords are 63,77

I just did this quest and when he died, I didn't get credit for killing him. I got the first hit on him and did damage throughout the fight and everything, but it didn't give me quest credit. The horn has a 5 minute cooldown. Quite annoying really. Submitted bug report.

I did this quest 3 times. The first 2 times I killed him but didn't get credit. Near as I can guess, I wasn't doing enough damage to get credit, like the Rexxar quest.

The third time I used the horn on the top of the tower so he spawned right on top of me. When I did it the third time, only 2 ghosts came up to assist, and I got credit for the kill.

I didnt get any ghosts like mentioned above...I blew the horn about 10-15y south of the flag tower, he spawned, came down the steps, I killed him, got credit. Im not sure why I didnt get the ghost assistance like the others....

Poster above is correct, 6700 HP and all melee attacks, went down as easily as all nearby mobs.

Well i did this quest in lvl 59 Hunter, i got no problem what so ever, a lot of "ghost mobs" will spawn you to help kil him..
I did it in first time, he die fast i got no agro of what so ever.
So GL & HF.

maybe you just have to summon him at the top of the little tower... did that and had no problems.. easy kill... ghosts help a lot

I summoned him not only at the bottom of the tower, but a fair way away from the stairs and still got credit, pulled him back into some of the ghost mobs, since I was out so far they didn't automatically attack. My guess is it has something to do with the general rule that you must do >50% damage to the mob in order for it to be counted as "your kill" and get loot, and in this case, credit for the kill.

Aren't the ghosts supposed to help u? I was about 10 feet from them and the didn't do anything. Killed the mob by my self though still got credit.

What you can do is draw him back all he way to the Spinebreaker Post. Then all the guards will draw in on him, and kill him easier. I didn't know the ghost were there to help me, so I just tried to kill him myself and couldn't.
You can also use that trick for any mob that will follow you.

I just used the Hord to summon him - 03/29/2007 - and 3 ghosts spawned with him.

I was able to stealth right after blowing the horn but he still saw me and took chase. The ghosts stayed at the bottom of the stairs. I ran toward the Horde camp and about halfway there Urtrak lost aggro and ran back to the top of the stairs. The 3 ghosts despawned and I killed Urtrak with no problem. About halfway through the fight he called for help but since the ghosts have despawned he didn't get any backup.

Keep in mind, the ghosts that spawn don't fight YOU, they fight HIM. So just go there, blow the horn, kick his butt with everything you got and when he's dead the ghosts will despawn. I actually had a lot of ghosts, seems random if I read other comments. Easy quest for a retri paladin.

As the others said, leave the peons alone. Blow the horn from just away from the platform, kill the orc, and you're done.

Done in 45 secconds as a lvl 60 mage.

63, 77 Get on top of the wooden platform do not kill the little peons you will see quiet a battle undead ally will pawn the orcs you just focus on the main orc

Piece of cake for a lvl 61 Hunter ...

Killed all the peons around the tower and a patrol on a mount ... placed a Frost trap right at the very bottom of the steps ... went to the top and blew the horn ... Urtrak spawned ... the adds spawned ... but because I didn't aggro the adds they stayed at the bottom. By the time i had killed Urtrak they had disappeared!

I blew the horn and backed up so not to aggro. He appeared at the top of the stairs and ran down after me. I had imp for this fight and it was pretty easy. He was a 61 non-elite and did melee dmg. Also, its right between Spine Breaker post and ZethGor.. its a staircase u can say. mouse over the flag which is blue and white, and it will say Unyielding Banner. good luck,

63,77 correct, blew horn, and 6 little fighters spawn and then the Orc came down the stairs and the little guys attacked him, finished him off, easy quest.

Just as a tip. . . when you approach the tower, you'll see (unless someone has cleared them) a couple of Peons working at the base. Don't clear them. Leave them in place. Position yourself near the banner and blow the horn. The dude you want to kill will spawn on the tower along with an entourage of 4 or 5 mobs. The additional mobs will attack the first thing they see. If you leave the Peons alone, the entourage will attack them and the dude you want will come fight you by himself. If you clear the Peons from around the tower, the additional mobs will come with him to attack you since you'll be the first thing they see to attack. They'll disappear as soon as he is dead, but while the combat is underway, you'll have all the mobs on you.

Blowing the horn ON TOP of the platform confirmed.
The mob spawned beneath the tower and dissapaered after a couple of secs.
Just the troll to deal with :)

It is literally the First Broken Tower as you leave Spinebreaker Post and head North. about a 10 second ride. There is a banner hanging on it.

agreed pretty easy, killed 2 normal mobs at the tower, call him and npc help kill him.

To complete this quest you need to blow the Unyielding Battle Horn near the Alliance Banner and kill Urtrak.

Leave the Spinebreaker Post and look to the strange wooden construction to the northeast. Move to it and you will see Alliance Bannernext it it. Wipe out mobs if there are some.
Get up the stairs and use Unyielding Battle Horn. Urtrak will appear in few seconds. The fight is easy and some ghost footmen will help you as well.

Descrizione

East of here is an old destroyed Alliance siege tower. Now scavengers loot it for old nails and bits of scrap. Long ago, many Alliance warriors lost their lives at this tower and their banner was captured by Urtrak, a foul orc commander.

Blow the Unyielding battle horn near the Alliance banner. This will get the attention of Urtrak. It may also summon forth warriors who fell in battle long ago.
