He's not soloable you should have atleast 3, tank, healer, dps could get the job done but he does spawn adds so an added mage would be good.

After completion of this quest you will see ghosts in places you didnt see them before. Nagrand you will see Ancient Ancestors walking around and most importantly a vendor infront of the mana tombs. Mainly I have noticed you will see them around any city that has been destroyed at 1 time even Shattrah City.

You can kite him to the little camp west from him. I did it in level 69, as hunter. But i think you can do it with a lower level. Just get someone to take the mods infront of you. You shall know he run pretty slow.

Following information is what I've seen as of 2/1/07:

Spawns alone at 40,71 along the south ring of Auchindoun. Though he runs slow, he summons 2 infernals that run at normal speed. This makes kiting him a bit more of a challenge but not beyond doing. The first time I did him solo, I pulled him all the way over to the clefthoof area in the eastern part of the bone wastes. Running around in a circle with cheetah on till he dropped.

The second time I was killing him, I decided to give a less exciting, somewhat cheesy, approach. I noticed that his adds, the infernals, had a 33 damage pulsing aura so I drug the pull through the outpost in the SW corner of the bone wastes. As I expected, the guards netted and mobbed them quickly.

So the easiest way to do the quest would be to have a hunter friend kite them to the outpost and collect the book after. Cheese, but effective.

One more important note: If you do melee him with a group, he casts cripple a lot so expect it to be a slow going fight. Also, his adds die after about 2 minutes from spawn time, but he recasts them while he's alive.

I solo'ed this as a 67 hunter by pulling him to the camp as described by others.

1) clear 2-3 of the undead guys that may be in your path before attempting to kite levixus. Don't spend too much time clearing, because they spawn fast. Just kill a couple that are likely to be in your way. I had "track undead" on so i could visually map an escape route as I kited.

2) with aspect of chetah on, shoot him with a serpent sting and start running. He runs slow, so periodically you'll need to back up, and shoot him again so he doesn't reset.

3) when he summons infernos, i sent my pet in to attack them briefly, just to get them off me. As soon as pet had agro, i put him back on follow so they wouldn't kill him too fast. make sure not to stay in levixus casting range too long or he'll cripple you. Shoot him fast then run away again.

4) i also dropped fire traps once or twice along the way to reduce how often I had to run back and shoot him.

Be careful if you kite him to the Sha'tari Base Camp.

He can mind control you or the guards there and for every one that dies(even after the Mind control has ended), you lose 1250rep with the Sha'tar. No fun =(

We did this 2 warlocks (one 64, one 66) and a level 70 shadow priest. Voidwalker and Felguard tanked. Good to have a lock along to banish his adds.

Definitely *not* soloable. We watched a level 70 Naxx/AQ40 geared hunter try to do it before us, and his pet died pretty quickly.

2-manned him with a level 69 Mage (me) and a 69 Paladin. Paladin tanked while I nuked and took care of the adds. For doing it at the *appropriate* level, however, I recommend at least 3.

As for the rewards, I'm rather miffed that the cloth one is +healing only, while the other 3 are +damage and healing. Thanks a lot, Blizz. :P

2-manned with a 68 troll shaman and a 70 shadow priest (me). What we did is I kited the boss around the nearby pillar by continuously running around it and my dots slowly killed him. Meanwhile, the shaman and her elemental took care of the adds.

The pillar is key so the boss can't get line of sight on you.

Wasn't too difficult, and it worked pretty well.

Solo'd as 67 Aff lock using a combination of 2 techniques described above.

Kited him to camp and used fel hunter to devour cripple.

I almost killed him kiting him around ring, but it takes a lot longer and there a lot more mobs you will run into.

Easier to just kite him to camp IMO.

70 Mage (me) and a 70 Pally completed this after a few tries.

Pally tanked and I took care of the adds as well as DPS the elite.
Our problem was OOM but finally we killed him. Totally 3 adds came.

One of the tries he managed to mind control the pally and i was far away so it became "Evade" and then he was 100% again, and by then the pally was close so he agroed again..That was a wipe... :)

Pallys' Shadow Resist-buffed helped I think. He resisted mind controls good after that.

Did'nt cleared anything before and we dared not kite him to the base because we did not want the minus reputation in case of mind control.

Random blue/green equip on both. Not instance-stuff.

I did this quest with another warlock. It was so easy. Make sure you have a healstone and SS ready though. Also, use your VW or Felguard if you have one. I was Affliction and I think the other 'lock was Destruction.

piece of cake, pull, run towards the camp, on the way there the infernal ae dmg will hurt the friendly elite guards fighting in area towards the camp, when they take damage, they start to hit the infernals, that makes you being able to do some damage and get some range, then the friendly guards turned red, still hitting the infernal though, so i just kept kiting towards the camp, and when the infernals started hitting the real guards, they later turned and hit the big one, quite easy.

As a 70 Demo-Lock, i soloed him, wasnt that easy. make sure u have healing pot, healthstone. send ur fel...with curses,immolate and constant shadowbolt. when u get agro start kitting him up the stairs then jump. make sure u dont go far to the entrance he will reset. i have instant corruption, with Agony, it took me bout 4min to get him down.
For an affliction lock., i think it will be faster and easier.
if u get caught by his crippling..run and reset him

Soloed as 70 shadow priest. DoT and run. when he summons Infernals, cast sw: Pain and VE and finish it with sw: Death as soon as you can. They only have 5k hp. 3th infernal i casted Shadowfiend on to regain some mana. i died 2 sec after killing Levixus from agro i had. ran back, ressed and looted.

Tryed abouth 10 times before i made it so its not easy, 3th-4th try i got him down but couldent loot him so be sure to get some mind blast on him to, on the way to the camp.

Soloed as a 70 enhancement shaman (0/40/21). What I did was put on rank 1 earth shock, pull him with flame shock to the sha'tar camp. Whenever he casts cripple, throw down a grounding totem to absorb it so you don't take the 50% movement reduction. Stoneclaw his inferno or simply just take the hit til the camp. Whenever my HP went critical, NS heal and continue your kite. When you get to the camp, it'll be hard to get aggro off you, throw down earth elemental pet to get it off you, by the time it dies, it should be close to almost dead. Make sure you keep flame shock on him otherwise you won't be able to loot the corpse when he dies.

Duoed by a 70 warlock and 65 feral druid. I tanked in bear form, and had to use both pot, health stone and bear heal, as well as innervate the lock. Banish first add, have pet tank second add. Use his long casts (Inferno and cripple) to potion/stone/innervate/pop out and heal as a bear tank. We wiped on the first try due to excessive MCing of the warlock. Second try I died at 5% and the warlock dps'ed him down right before succumbing to the adds, so it wasn't a walk in the park, but definitely doable.

Solo'd as a 69 Elemental shaman.
Kited him to camp like everyone else, the vindicators on the way helped tank him for a bit, kited with rank 1 lightning bolt as its only a 0.5sec cast with 0 mana cost. When adds were spawnd i just threw down a stoneclaw totem or if that was on CD earthbind. Guards at the camp took care of him pretty easily :)

His abilities are:
Summons infernals on you and can cast mind control(not often, only does it if there are other enemies near by either NPC or PC).
Can cast cripple, but if you run out of range before he finishes casting you can avoid it since...
He walks VERY slow. Easy to kite.

As a priest just keep VT and SW:P on him and dot the infernals so they don't pile up on you since they can run pretty fast. He only summons one at time but he can summon more so don't let it get out of hand. Quite easy to deal with the infernals while poor levixus tries to catch up. Conserve your mana. Bring some mana pots for the second try. Get a feel for it the first try and if you fail use the pots. Don't run too far. Stay at around max range so you can easily walk out of his cripple range when he casts. Or you can just dispel it but that costs mana. :P

With the 2.1 patch it appears no longer possible to kite him a long distance. You can kite him a bit but he seems ready to return to his origin point if you go too far. He and his infernals don't do a lot of damage but more than you can reasonably expect to take solo. Bring a tank, healer and some dps.

Soloed as fire mage by kiteing him with ice lance to nearest camp where guards could take him out. He doesnt run so fast but the adds and other mobs around might be a problem. So if your going to try the same, look which way your going to kite him through. (And yes this was before 2.1)

Soloed him as level 67 hunter. He does a 15 second cripple, but he also runs very slow so i was able to stay ahead of him while my pet dps'ed. Made it to the Sha'tari Basecamp where the elite guards finished the job.

Hunters, warlocks and mages should be able to solo this :)

Just kited him to the camp as a level 68 arcane+fire mage and a 68 MS warr, he kept MCing the warr and casting cripple on her while i just kept aggro with fireblast etc, he walks really slow so you can easily outrun him :3
And the adds can be rooted/ignored.

Yes, I soloed this, yes it was really hard, and yes I died a couple times. Here's my review from a Demonology spec'ed warlock (67).

You need to plan a route up to the caravan in the north of the bone wastes. Ride the route in advance, I found staying on the WEST side of Achindoun worked well. I stayed up top until I reached the coffin with the 4 mobs, then I went down the stairs and stayed on the bottom until I reached the north end. From there is was a straight run north into the camp. I stayed on the top since if I got into trouble I could drop down off the edge and he would reset.

Spells... He has three things he will try and cast, on three timers. All of his abilities seem to have a 30 yard range, so unless you have points in Grim Reach, just go by your range indicator for CoA and Corruption. If you can cast, you are vulnerable, if you can't, you aren't.

Cripple: Slowing effect, lasts 12 seconds, and may mean you death. If you get caught in a cripple, send in your Felguard and see if he can buy you a couple seconds while you hobble forward. (Or try using your spellstone - I didn't try using it, but I never got caught by it since it is easy to outrange) If there are infernals up, then you are likely cooked. This is the #1 thing to make sure you outrange at all costs. You don't need a felhound, just stay out of range when he casts - which isn't too hard since he stops to cast. As soon as he aborts the cast, run back into range to dot him again.

Inferno: Summons an infernal. While it is tempting to enslave these, I would suggest against it. The main reason is since they seem to have higher than average shadow resistance. I did banish them whenever possible, but they resisted often. (Even with Curse of Shadow up) Last thing you need is an enslave breaking early. Basically when he summoned an infernal, I would throw the Felguard at it to get a couple hits, then recall immediately. This would keep aggro off me should I get a banish resist. As expected, they are immune to fear. (as is the boss) Another reason to avoid enslaving is that he will continually summon infernals if they are killed or despawn. So enslaving just means he will summon another. Just banish one, have the felguard keep aggro on the other (while following you), then banish the one your felguard is on when Levixus summons a new one. Use health funnel during the break in action, then send your felguard at the new infernal.

Domination: A mind control, this will NOT affect your demon, but it can affect YOU. Make sure you are out of range if you see him casting this with you targetted.

As for damage... Just CoA and corruption on a regular basis. You need to hit him every 5 seconds or so to make sure he doesn't reset. (Don't use Curse of Doom since you want to be able to reapply dots regularly, and using CoD means you can't use CoA) So alternate using one spell then the other, so you can get some ticks in. Also, try and get a few ticks in of health funnel to keep your felguard alive. He's what is stopping the faster infernals from catching you. If worse comes to worse, use Fel Domination to repop your Felguard if he dies, and make sure you have a healthstone and soulstone.

When I reached the caravan in the north end of the Bone Wastes, he was down to about 40% - which was more than enough to get me credit for the kill. Don't stop running though. The infernals will still chase you, so keep running until the camp guards have it under control. I survived with about 2k health in the end, after blowing a healthstone and health pot. (a bit of infernal damage, some health funnel and some life-taps.) It was quite the ride!

It took a few tries but I actually managed to kite him down to the Sha'tari camp as a 67 ret paladin by spamming rank 1 consecration while running. I also used exorcism to keep him from resetting if he missed a consecration. His infernals did a fair bit of damage to me but I ended up making it and the guards took over. I tried to lay down some damage after the guards had aggro but I ended up pulling him to me and I had to run away from the sheer damage he did and let the guards retake aggro.

I ended up not getting credit for the kill. XP
Him dominating guards was kinda amusing to me though.

I just finished this with lvl 70 druid solo. I kited him as instructed to the Sha'tari base camp and had some vindicators take off extra health on the way.

Couple of things to note:
- helps a lot to have something to dispel Cripple
- helps to run around a lot to avoid hits from infernals - I found it easiest to just ignore them as much as possible
- make sure that you join the fight in the base camp with all of your DPS - you need to make considerable (don't know how much but failed once) damage to him to be able to loot him

Other than that, one of the easiest kiting jobs I've had...

Soloed, lvl70 warlock with poor gear (turned 70 yesterday).

I didn't want to loose any rep so I just kept kiting him, refreshing dots whenever they would run out and Bannishing the infernals when they got to close.

He doesn't spawn both infernals at the same time, so I could bannish the first and keep kiting. by the time he spawned the second we were miles away from the first and it never had a chance to catch up. :-)

At 35,76 is a set of two Vindicators and very low spawn on the Warriors. I just took him to this spot and let the two Vindicators fight him. When he mced I fought the Vindicators, but they netted the infernals and when I wasn't mind controlled I was able to get some nice hits in on him with the Vindicators still tanking. When he killed one Vindicator he went to the other because I was mind controlled at the time. By the time he killed that one another one had respawned and again I was mind controlled so he attacked that one. This was probably the easiest time I've had with soloing a group quest...I was on a 66 druid.

Couldn't solo as a 69 23/37/0 warlock, he kept losing aggro and evade resetting, even after I had kited him around enough to get him down to 1/2 health.

Have only about 650 total +dmg atm, though. Was able to kite him around the southwestern 1/4 of the ring, up and down the stairs as Drade advises above, and had enough health/mana reserves to take him down (1/4 of my reserves got him to 1/2 while keeping his Infernals banished and under Curse of Exhaustion).

I even opened with a Vengeance of the Illidari trinket-buffed Soul Fire, but just couldn't keep him hooked. Maybe I need UA.

On the plus side, I resisted every single one of his Mind Control casts, and 1/2 of his Cripples (the other 1/2 my Felhunter devoured). Master Demonologist + Felhunter ftw.

A 64 Frost Mage came along and we duo'd it easily.

He is soloable without kiting him into the NPC camp.

I did it with a lvl 70 BM hunter (some Karazhan epics, Ravager pet) by kiting him around the ring, down the stairs and back. I kept the pet on him with Growl turned off, used Distracting Shots and Arcane Shots so he wouldn't aggro the pet for too long. When the first infernal spawned, I froze it. After the second infernal I used frost traps to slow them down. I also used Mend Pet a few times, but pet health was never critical. You can even stand there and use Steady/Auto on him a few times because he is so slow.

After a few minutes he died, I did not go out of mana. I did not use Aspect of the Cheetah.

Actually this boss would be a REALLY nice recruitment test before hiring a hunter into an elite guild.

Put down Grounding totem, mana spring, pull him with Lightning Bolt, put Earth Elemental Totem, Earth Shield to Elemental and do any "dps" on him. Wasn't hard with full resto shaman (lvl 70). Nothing epic, 67+ q-rewards, and drops from normal instances, Imbued Netherweave Set and The Bringer of Death

Kited him to Shatari Base Camp as a 66 priest. Used Rank 1 SWP and VT to refresh his aggro when necessary, then as he got closer to the camp used max rank SWP to lay down enough damage so I'd get credit for the kill. Kept VE up on him in case infernals got to me, or I got adds. First Infernal he spawned, I hit it with a shadowfiend at which point he tried to MC it (its immune) and gave me a sec to throw on a quick Mind Flay. Started running again, when the infernals caught up started using PW:S and ran by the Vindicators on the way who rooted and killed infernals for me.

Cripple was easy to deal with, a simple Dispel worked. Shadow Reach is absolutely necessary for this kite. Once I got to the base camp the elites took care of the infernals, but Levixus continued to chase me as I had done around 70% of his HP in DoT damage. At this point I was nearly OOM so I chugged a pot, kept dotting him and ran circles around the camp as the elites chased and beat him down. Collected my book, lost zero Shatar rep, got the nice healing gloves.

Solod him as a lvl 70 MM hunter. Just stuck my pet on him with an MD and claw + Growl and he kept aggro fine. Just kept mend pet up and he lived. Only one infernal spawned and it was easy enough to kill him with frost trap, he died before even getting to me.

Did this as a level 70 warrior, by kiting him to the sw sha'tari camp. So, in a sense it should be soloable by any class. just a good idea to run into one of the elites on the way to get the infernals off of you.

PS- Make sure you do around 30% damage to him (I did this at the end with full rage executes) otherwise you won't get to loot, and you'll have to pull this epic maneuver twice, like I did.

I took my chances as a level 67 Shadow Priest and kited him to the Sha'tari Base Camp knowing that it could result in a guard's death, meaning minus 1250 Sha'tar reputation for me. A Shaman of the opposing faction popped his Earth Elemental and helped me while the guards zerged him down. I was already out of mana so I used a mana potion to have mana to heal myself when I took aggro after the Earth Elemental died. It was tough and if the Shaman wouldn't have helped it could have been a disaster.

The kiting worked for me, it's up to you whether you take the risk of minus rep.

Managed to solo as a 70 Arcane/Fire mage, I kited him to the Sha'tari Base Camp, he's not immune to any slowing effects which is nice. just watch out for all the other adds you can pick up on the way

Hello, I'm a Balance druid and here is what I did to solo Levixus (at 70).

I wasn't able to kite him all the way to the outpost, his infernals ran faster than he did, so that was out of the question. However, I was able to kite him to the Vindicators that fight the Auchenai Warriors right outside. I just starfired and kept insect swarm and a moonfire on him, when he summoned his first infernal I just rooted it and ran to nearby 3 Vindicators which all aggroed him, I ran away to get out of combat and came back and just picked him off, the Vindicators are 70 elites and had all the aggro from Levixus as well as the infernals, easy as cake. Levixus is immune to roots btw.

Hope this helped, I see a lot of posts on here and just wanted to contribute what I did with details.

Oh, and the minus rep is such a small chance, they are 70 elites and I doubt in the duration of a MC you could kill one. He MCed the Vindicator once, but it was very short.

70 BM Hunter, Kara/Badge/Early Tk/SSC epics - simply tanked and spanked him, needed all my cooldowns and trinkets + Drums of Battle - but my pet, with some heals could just hold his damage off, long kill though. Just open with Misdirect onto your pet, pop mend pet and after 2/3 growls just use all your cooldowns and treat him like a Boss, drop into proper shot cycles and he dies quick.

Easy solo for a well-geared(1250+ shadow damage) shadowpriest. As others have mentioned, he runs as slow as molasses. However, he is unfearable and hits like a truck(1250 on a shadow priest, up to 2800 crits). His infernos are non elites and therefore easily dealt with. Just run away from him and it's as easy as done. He also tries to mind control shadowfiend which is generally unsuccessful(due to resists maybe, no idea) which allows perfectly opportunity to lay into him.

This quest can be hard to complete. I did this quest on my 70 BE spriest.
I did what others suggested and it worked but I cut it close.

I found the guy at 40,71. He was standing in a circle surrounded by ghosts. I dotted him and took off. He didn't stop to cast anything until we had left that small area.
He tried several times to Mind Control me and I just made sure to stay out of reach. I used my shadowfiend since I was running out of mana and he tried several times to also MC him, unsuccessfully.
The guards were unable to gain aggro from me so i had to just run in circles around the camp as they helped me kill him.

The elementals are not elites and can be slowed down unfortunatly they are immune to fear.
He will continue to try and summon the elementals but once your at the camp the guards will trap them.
Be very careful when your pulling him not to walk too close to the other mobs outside. Its easy to pull those who aren't being killed by the elite guards outside.

Completed this Quest today as a lvl 67 Elemental Shaman and a Subtlety Rogue lvl 66. We Pulled him through 3 guards before they got aggro and i had to use Reincarnation and the Rogue had to use a Major Healthstone but we managed to kill him eventually. Two Guards Died but we didn't lose any Reputation.

You don't need to kite him all the way to the base camp.

I did this with a 67 frost mage and a 69 ret pally.

We kited him just south of his spawn point to about 37,77 and the Sha'tar Vindicators (level 70 elites) picked up him and essentially tanked him for us. We never pulled aggro off them either (although the pally died while the mage survived).

Frost nova and the water elemental kept his adds at bay.

Wow. Just solo'd him on my 70 druid, feral. It was tough but here's my strategy guide for those of you who don't want to risk losing Shat'ar rep by kiting.

This fight is a lot like ones where you control a pet. You use EVERY cooldown available to you whenever it's up.

Open with a regrowth then go bear, pull. FFF, Mangle, demo roar asap. Do not lacerate. Keep swiping and mangling, always keeping fff and demo roar up.

Now heres the tricky part. He'll summon infernals. What you do on these infernals is nature's grasp them and move away. Pretty simple. it keeps at-least one out of the game. Bash the other infernal if another spawns. During the "cc'd infernal stage" keep up dps on Levi.

When natures grasp and bash are on cd, enter defensive mode. Pop evasion trinket and frenzy regen to migate damage until-he starts to cast cripple. During the cripple cast he isn't hitting you at all so pop out of bear and cast a regrowth and ONLY a regrowth! Shift into bear immediately and continue dpsing until you can reach another defensive stage/cc stage. Only use barkskin if you need to regrowth outside a cripple cast or of infernal are on you.

Hope this helps my fellow druids. Did it with 13.4k hp, 28% dodge, and 23k armor . 3rd try was a charm : )

Soloed him as a Balance Druid (Kara/S1/Badge geared) on my second go with one health pot. Wasn't easy, and the infernals killed me after I got him down, but it's certainly possible.

He hits hard - chuck on some PvP gear. If you have more than a couple of items of cloth you're likely to have trouble. He has a lot of HP, isn't CCable, and summons adds.

Be ready to root the first add and move away. If he's not nearly dead by the time the second add arrives, cyclone it and hope you can get him down before it ends.

I opened with treants and insect swarm, dropped a regrowth on myself, moonkinned up, and hit him with a coupla of starfires. Once he's hitting you, MF and wrath spam. You're unlikely to survive in caster form for long, so you might as well burn your Barkskin cooldown once he starts summoning the infernal (should limit the damage/avoid interruptions while you root the infernal and move out of its range).

Just nuke the crap out of him at this point, as he will continue summoning infernals, and you've got pretty much no chance once there's more than two. Ignore them, apart from to CC them and continue beating him down, and you should be fine ;)

easily duo'd with restro druid (me) and rogue, both 70. pretty simple, kept a few hots up on rogue, cycloned/rooted his elemental adds. I got mc'd a few times, once i trinketed out of, the other times the hots on the rogue where enough to keep going.

I did this easily as a level 64 shadow priest. Just open up with Vampiric Touch and then spam a low rank of SW:P every ~6 seconds to mantain aggro.

He will eventually spawn infernals that will get to you, then you can shield and wait for the guards to get them. When he is at low hp, nuke away, just make sure to stay in cast range.

I kited him to the southwest camp and ended up with 95% hp :)

I've just 2-manned this quest - me 67 frost mage together with a 70 protection paladin. We didn't pull Levixus anywhere, we just fought him on the spot. It was doable, but it was a tough fight and we both ended up with very little life left. Got him down first try. ;)

Duoed this just now as two lvl 68 paladins:

1 healer (healing gear, some points in holy but most in ret)
1 tank (tanking gear, some points in prot but most in ret)

We used blessing of wisdom and blessing of light on both of us.
Used seal of wisdom and seal of the crusader on Levixus (used crusader strike to keep them up as much as possible).

Once an infernal spawned, one of us feared/Turn undead it (agree beforehand who). When second infernal spawned, the other paladin fear/Turn undead it. Keep taking turns fearing/Turn undead. You won't have more than 2 infernals up at the same time.

Cripple was dispelled instantly.

When healer gets mind controlled (casting time), the tank runs away from Levixus and the healer to minimize dmg. Once mind control stops; the fighting can continue.

Most dps was done by the tank using Seal of command and Exorcism.
Hammer of Judgement can be used on infernals to reduce the dmg and interrupts they do.

Tank can help out with health potions if needed. Healer might need to use mana potion.

It was a fun 5ish minute fight.

I just soloed as a 67 elemental shaman. Used rank 1 Lightning Bolt to keep him aggroed and used stoneclaw and earthbind rotation to avoid the infernals. Pulled him south to where the vindicators were and then across the field aggroing as many vindicators as i could. Make sure once the vindicators have a good amount of threat you pump some damage into him or you won't be able to loot the corpse when hes dead.

Soloed him as a lv67 Frost Mage.

Used Ice Lance to kite him to the Vindicators, and Frost Nova whenever an Infernal were getting near me. Also kept Ice Barrier up at all times.

One Vindicator died, but I didn't lose Sha'tar rep. I also got MC'd, but nothing that an Ice Block couldn't solve. Kinda easy.

Soloed him as a 70 BM Hunter without kiting him to NPCs. Mostly T4 gear and a couple S1 pieces. 7900 health, 6100 mana. The fight lasted approximately 80 seconds, with 700 dps on the meter when Levixus died.

Marked Levixus, put on Mend Pet, sent in Ravager, hit Misdirect and used all offensive cooldowns (Beastial Wrath, Rapid Fire, Bladefist's Breadth.) Opened with Steady Shot and Arcane Shot, then used a 1:1 ratio, making sure Serpent Sting stayed on him. I was a bit lucky, because I pulled aggro right when my pet was about to die. At this point, Levixus was at 50% health. Used Freezing Trap on the first Infernal, ran when Levixus was chasing me (he spent half his time standing still casting spells), and just let the second Infernal hit me, which hit for a whopping 200 damage. None of his Mind Controls hit me, and he died right outside the arches. I had 40% life at the end and I just feigned and let the infernals kill my pet.

Maybe they nerfed it or something, or maybe I was really lucky, because I was never in danger of dying. When he's casting spells, you can just mow his health down, and 58k shouldn't be too hard for a 70 to do as long as you stay out of range of his melee and MC.

I also used a Restorative Potion, but no healing potions.

Easily kiteable as a 67 Hunter. Pop Trinkets > Aimedshot > blah blah > Kite > Drop freezing traps to catch his summons.

It's extremely easy if you sick your pet on him, but don't have him growl. You maintain aggro and most of the time he will try to mind control your pet (immune) which gives you good time to lay in DPS. Also, he will cripple your pet 75% of the time instead of you (you can avoid cripple by staying out of max shooting range ). Good luck!

i am now playing a paladin and am lvl 67, and all you warriors out there crying about how much paladin plate is in bc go lvl one and see how much plate u get with spell dmg pre-bc.

Managed to solo him as a 68 mage.

Basically just ice lance spam him while kiting him around the circle. Frost nova any infernals that get too close, or rank one Cone of Cold. Can sometimes catch him with a frostbolt while he is casting a new infernal. Stay out of range of cripple and use your mana gems as soon as possible.

You will get him to about 75% before you hit the first other mobs (I kited him counter-clockwise). To turn around summon your waterelemental, have it shoot the big guy, iceblock, frost nova the infernals he has chasing you, un-iceblock, and run back the other direction. Once he's done with the water elemental he'll head back to you, just make sure to hit him.

Next turn around I did was back where he started, was to 50%. Jumped off stairs, poped an evocation, and spun him around with water elemental + iceblock combo again. Last turn around I did after the last stairs before the mobs. Jump off and rendez-vous with him at the start of the stairs going clockwise. Should be able to finish him off then.

I went through 3 mana gems and a major mana potion at the end. Good luck to any mages that feel like trying on this beast. :) Sorry I don't have a fire or arcane mage kill plan set up, I only did this questing, not as a test of skill.

This is an easy solo for a hunter. Just kite him close in to the Sha'Tari camp and the guards will keep him busy.

OMFG i got 5g from the plate.. wtf, lost out on 15gs almost had i chosen leather. vendor pricing is so fuked up...there should just be a gold coin mark on the item that vendors the most i think it would prove most useful instead of clicking all the items. and there isn't alot of warrior plate, just alot of paladin plate, shammie gear, and i dont know about you but i saw alot of rogue gear, or at least feral gear that rogues could use as well.

Quite easily soloable as a 70 moonkin druid. Fairly straight forward, open with nuke, moonfire, insect swarm and strafe kite him around, keeping dots up. If you have the trees, use em at the start. If you get crippled, simply shift out. The infernals shouldn't catch up to you, and they don't hurt even if they do.

Super nice moonkin druid loot, btw.

Hmmm, I was about to bemoan the rewards here (I'm a rogue) butI see it opens up another quest which has, among other things, a rogue reward - with sockets

I guess the real question is: Why there cant be quest rewards for ALL classes instead of specific class rewards. Dont we all do the same quests basically?.So shouldn't rewards be impartial? Or at least take the BOP off this stuff so it can be given to deserving guild members and the likes. I guess that goes beyond Blizzards deep thought reasoning, or mine.

68 hunter + 67 mage. Pet tanked til about 40% then died when my mend pet got interrupted by one of his spawned adds, then we kited him the rest of the way. Easy stuff.

Not sure if he has been buffed or not. He is now immune to stun, fear and any sort of negative effect. He mind controls with a 150% damage boost.

He also bugs out a lot.

He summons infernals every 20 seconds or so, and has around 56,000 health (acording to my mob info)

Can you solo him now? Well he hits my warlock 1500 with soul link at lvl 66. With multi adds and cripple it makes guy very hard to solo now IMO.

The guy was rasied in lvl by blizz.

The last time i saw this guy he was lvl 63 Elite.
This time me aka Hunter lvl70, Rogue lvl64, Warrior lvl70 had to take this guy out.

They rasied him to lvl 66 Elite and made him a little tuffer then last time. Blizz you monsters lol.

I just start hating hunters mages and locks, for them all seems to be EASY.
Maybe blizzard does't remember that mobs have
- Nets , frost traps (remember frost circle from Naga in Zangarmash , Silence spells , Stuns

to keep quests more difficult also for casters and hunters.

It seems that Blizzard think that a Mob is hard because it has a lot of HP or Hits for 2k ?

soloed as a 67 hunter, just kite him around the circle and be careful of the spawns in the west side. trap the infernal summons every 30 seconds as they run faster than he does and keep your pet at ur side just in case

solo'd as a lvl66 warlock, doing all ~53k dmg myself. later did the easy way for someone by kiting to the western camp. i recommend the latter unless you're really bored.

cripple is not the least bit fun, nor is dominate mind if you're a pet class. interesting fight, tho perhaps the infernal spawns could be a bit slower...but i guess that's what makes him a group quest.

Did it real quick with paladin mage warlock(with felguard). Put salv on everyone, light on felguard, kept judgement of wisdom up on Levixus and spammed flash of light on the felguard since levi hits for around 1200 a hit. When he summoned an inferno I just used Turn Evil and we ignored it, the warlock could also have banished it.
He's got about 56k hp so it'll take a little bit to kill him.

If you do about a third of his HP in damage, you can kite him to Sha'tari Base Camp in the southwestern part of the zone. Sha'tari Vindicators will finish Levixus, and you'll be able to loot the book.

No need to try to solo this at the start of TBC classic; there are loads of people around. I did this as 66 shadow priest with a ret paladin and bear druid. He went down quickly. A little off-healing on the tank from my priest, a fear to keep the mind-controlled paladin from harming me, and 2 infernals didn't really do a lot of damage to the bear. Didn't notice the others' levels, but I don't think there was a 70. Anyway, the suggested 3 players seems like a good idea and went very smoothly.

Soloed as 70 hunter, keep mend pet up and MD threat to pet with distracting shot. If he tries to dominate mind on you either feign death or line of sight around the nearby pillar. Worst case ask a friend to help :)

Easy solo as Affliction in BCC. Dot and run. Don't bother with cast-time abilities. Can take him in a circle, doubling back when you reach the first staircase that isn't his spawn. He is immune to fear and slows, but doesn't run fast enough to catch you. You actually can out-range him because he stops to summon Infernals, which can be slowed with Curse of Exhaustion. If you stay at max range, you can't be hit with Cripple. Just don't jump off the edge between stairways because he'll reset if you aren't periodically re-applying dots.

Solo'd him as a lvl 70 reasonably geared (TBC Classic P1) feral druid, was pretty easy.

Mangled until I could rip, and cheetah away in large circles to stack a few lifeblooms when my health got low. Had to switch into bear when his infernals came out (which run a lot faster than him, and don't die with him, btw). 7/10 would murder again.
