56,77 are the true coords. Ya, just chuck the banner after you complete the quest. No use for it.

Quest text when you turn this in:

"We lost our battle against the fel orcs so very long ago.
You have restored some of our lost honor by killing Urtrak.
Take one of our weapons with you. When you are fighting
our most hated foes, use this weapon, and those who are
free of our curse will come to your aid. Before you leave,
those who died at the siege tower wish to honor you for
destroying our enemies."

Supposedly the weapons rewarded can spawn two ghost
guards for you, while fighting the Fel Orcs in the area. I'm
not quite sure how useful this is as I haven't tried it out, so
you might want to check it out :)

The sword at least is quite useful for melee classes when doing the Grillok "Darkeye" quest (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10834). Lets you solo Grillok pretty easily, just equip it before the fight. Ranged classes can apparently pull him without his adds anyway so no need to fiddle around with this stuff.

As of 2.1.0, it properly removes the banner from your inventory when you turn in this section. I did Grillok before this quest so unfortunately I was not able to test that part.

Grrrr, there is NO banner to plant. I almost thought that I had trashed a necessary bit of equipment accidently and was going to miss out on the xp/honor. Just go to the coords mentioned above, 56,77 and turn in the quest.

I see now. Just to clear up the confuseing posts here (I think they are).

Plant the banner east, northeast of Spinebreaker Post, at the ramp with the alliance flag(63,77)
Perhaps clear the area first.

Kill, and maybe loot, the dude easy with help of the summoned ones(they just come along with the dude).

Deliver the quest in the tower(56,77), just northwest of Spinebreaker Post.

You can see both places from the entrance of Spinebreaker Post.

I was disappointed about getting Rod of the Unyielding, especially since I already have The Staff of Twin Worlds which I got from one of the first quests I completed in Outland.

Oh well, at least it sells for 7g.

This is one of the few quests that actually made me feel like I had genuinely accomplished something, without breaking suspension of disbelief. I felt like I did in fact avenge these fallen warriors.

When you turn it in and before leave, all the ghost appear to honor you and bow before you. The last one is a female warrior, and before she disappears, she waves to you.

I don't know, I just found it kind of sad.

Soo..I didn't bother to kill the guards...and didn't really watch the ending...wht banner are y'all talkin about? Cause I still have the Banner Fragment in my pack, but completed the quest.

I wont say rather or not u fight him, but the ending is awesomely cool. The rewards were sweet too. Lvl 61 lock took my vw with me and ruled! thats all. he shows up on ur minimap as a dot btw. good luck

Location of tower is 56,77. 9800 XP at lvl 60.

After completeling this quest you will get banner. Also, ghost NPC tell you that ghost will help you. I waiting for it a while, then drop that banner. On next day, i tryed to solo Grillok "Darkeye" (60 hunter) Then pet have 300 hp and I was complitely oom and post on cd (he is involved in elite q) my sword from that quest summon 2 ghost chapions and they pwn him. I was realy happy.

As of today (2.0.5.6320 release) neither weapons have the stat that reads "Equip: Unyielding Knights". The quest completer mentions it in his final blurb, but that's it. I've yet to try out the staff to see if it works.

To complete this quest you need to report to Commander Hogarth in the Expedition Armory.

Make you way to the west and reach Expedition Armory area. There is the watch tower at the northern part of the area. its barely can be missed.
Commander Hogarth stands inside the tower, get in and turn in the quest. Dont leave asap, there will be a scene you can watch.

Report to Commander Hogarth in the Expedition Armory.

Descrizione

Hogarth, the commander of the Armory, is in the eastern tower. You must report your victory over Urtrak to him. Perhaps he will be friendly? Of course he may try to consume your soul. One can never tell with spirits such as these.

The Unyielding are still against us and will no doubt kill you if they can. Be careful <name>.
