The Black Morass is the old Blasted Lands, back when the Swamp of Sorrows contained the Blasted Lands area. In this instance you must defend Medivh while he opens the Dark Portal or your world will end. The Dark Portal is of the same model of that from Warcraft 2.

notice there are 2 Andormu and they are both outside the instance in caverns of time. The child is the one that actually gives the quest. You should be able to get it after u save thrall.

My party that ran BM tonight, has to my knowledge the lowest run time (from start to finish) ever.

This occurred on Shattered Hand, in a party of:

1 Holy Paladin
1 Prot Warrior
1 Feral Druid
1 Marks Hunter
1 Sub Rogue

Total time for this run: 26 minutes

We could have done it a lot faster, if we didn't have to sit around for 1-2 mins after bosses.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone's done it faster though.

I've already done the attunement but just before the portal to inside the instance there is a ship blockin the path. what do i do now? =(

A Badge of Justice will only drop once from each boss. So no matter how many times you kill a boss after wipes, you only get it the first time.

Once attuned, be sure u have an organized group b 4 even attempting to complete this instance and watch out for lame PUG's. Team Speak is huge advantage. Be sure all members grab a beacon from Npc at beg. of Instance and discuss a "call out by name" plan to strategically drop them at Shielded Medivh, (which kill adds from portals). Breifly : There are 18 portals that open randomly, one at a time, in center of instance of which a series of elite demons come thru to attack the shield surrounding Medivh.
B4 even attempting to begin speaking to Medivh, you must clear the area of all gators,spiders and panthers (easy) to avoid accidental patrols on your party while in battle with portal bosses.
Once complete, party member activates Medivh and soon portals begin opening one at a time. Have someone mark on minimap where portal is opening to help tank locate it. While tank spanks only the big boss that comes thru (avoid AoE spells as they aggro the adds), only your Mage should be cracking Adds with AoE Everyone else leave em alone unless necessary. Try to eat & drink btwn portals opening. Ports 6,12,and 18 are big bosses. 18 should be ALL DPS on boss. Disperse one beacon each on last 5 Ports 14 -18 only at Medivh's location to help him kill demons attacking his shield.
Boss 18 will cast a "sleep" spell on all party members lasting few seconds and will EAT your tank if hes not at near FULL health when this happens. Boss 6 casts Polymorph which priest needs to dispell immediately. (Whew too much writing) Superior Elixirs "Flask of Supreme power" etc., help a lot.

ok. i have a problem. i've done the saving thrall quest chain in old hilsbrad a long time ago and recived the southshore sneakers. but i tried to go pick this quest up a few days ago and none of the npc's show they have it i've tried talking to the kid and adult version of the giver and get nothing. anyone have any idea what it could be?

When you try to run into the instanced in the Caverns of Time, it says:

"You must first save Thrall in Old Hillsbrad by helping him escape from Durnholde Keep before you may enter the Black Morass"

You have to do the Instances in order starting with Old Hillsbrad...and the quest that was posted above!

Travel through the Caverns of Time to the Black Morass during the opening of the Dark Portal and speak with Sa'at.

Descrizione

The Infinite Dragonflight have abandoned all pretense of subtlety. They plot to destroy the Guardian, Medivh, and prevent the Dark Portal from ever opening. While outwardly, this may appear a boon to the forces of the Alliance, it is in actuality catastrophic and will result in your world ending.

You must venture through the timeway leading to the Black Morass. Go west and then south, past my future self, until you reach the tunnel that houses the swamp specimens. Cross over and speak with Sa'at.
