Pretty easy a 69 fire mage. The hardest part was easily the 10 imp thing, but I'd imagine anybody who can take the 10 imps can do the rest of it solo. I'd recommend preclearing the mobs that are there before hadn. Its just down the road at 49, 65.

Imps are fairly easy

doomguards have a fair amount of life, they also put a "vicious rend" on you, that stacks. With 3 stacks it was doing 406 damage to me. They hit for 300-400 on 69 rogue.

just burned the 70 down.

This quest is still randomly bugged, as it was in late beta.

It failed for us once last night right after the "Take a moment to prepare" line. When he respawned, we decided to try taking the quest dismounted - it then worked and we were able to successfully complete.

The alliance group who tried it after my successful run failed it immediately, and their druid was shifted into cat form.

I do NOT know if any of these things actually caused the failure, or if the failure is completely random (or perhaps even if it fails after a successful completion).

I'm in a 2-person group. It seems, after one of us picks the quest up, it fails within 10 seconds.. and we sometimes get multiple fail messages.

This quest worked for me solo (I died), then failed in a group of 4 several times, then worked in a group of 3 with almost the same people. The one thing I know for sure is don't have anyone in your group with a failed version of the quest in their log. But even then, it bugged on me once. Then it worked.

Apparently: if the Engineers aren't up when you accept the quest, it will do the fail instantly thing. Make sure the Engineers are up first before accepting.

Soloed as a Holy Specced Paladin. If you are running low on health or mana during the last demon, stop attacking and let the NPC pick him up. He can last a decent amount of time. I let him get down to 4% before picking back up the Demon.

Pretty easy though.

This quest is a total joke for level 70 locks. The imp's are a laugh. 8 of them? Who gives, they hit for nothing. Spam Seed of Corruption on about 6 of the imps coming out and have good fun. The fel guards are just tank by VW (hold all 3, no problem really) and nuke. The last boss has a bit of HP but matter of tank and nuke aswell. Done. Very soloable!

Quest is bugged and I won't bother with it until they fix it. Just like Deathblow to the legion on server:Malfurion it has been stuck for last two weeks probably by same players who can't complete the quest.

I was able to trigger this solo the first time I tried. I almost completed it, but died. A friend joined my party. She had tried before to solo, but also died. We could not initiate the quest together, no matter what we tried. In a 2-man party or solo, and without regard to whether we'd abandoned quest. Bugged to me.

Solo'd as a 70 combat fist rogue, wasn't too bad. I used blade-flurry + AR on the imps, I used a grenade on the 3 demons so they didn't kill my escort, and I used blade flurry on the last two engineers, then I vanished+bandaged to full to kill the last demon.

Solo'd this as a 68 Rogue (only just).
Kill all the mobs around the warp gate first then, go take the quest.
First point Drijya stops out, spawns about about a dozen small fire imps. Low HP mobs, easy for AoE classes. Bandage after.
Second point Drijya stops at, spawns 4-5 Terrorfiend type mobs, that are level 68-69. They can hit fairly hard, but as a Rogue, blade flurry+evasion, then blind one after BF has worn off and sink a health pot and your good. Bandage or eat quickly afterwards.
Last point Drijya stops at, spawns a level 70 Terrorfiend type mob. Didn't look like an elite, but seemed to hit harder than a normal level 70. Was fairly straightforward.

This can be easily solo'd as a Hunter or Warlock. Will be trying with my Mage and Warrior later on to see if it's possible.

I think whatever was bugged has been fixed now. I soloed this as a 70 Shadow Priest and was able to kill the engineers during the escort without failing the quest. I don't know, however, if killing the engineers *before* the quest will still cause it to fail.

Totally soloable as a 70 frostmage. No consumables used, not even gems. You can drink/eat between each fight.

Kill the mob standing next to the pylon.
1st wave - 10 imps that hit for 120+ (on cloth)

Kill another mob standing next to the 2nd pylon.
2nd wave - 3 demons that hit for 220+ (on cloth)

Kill the two mobs standing next to the 3rd pylon.
3d wave - 1 master demon hitting for 650+ and MS for 700ish (on cloth). Has around 9k HP if i remember correctly.

SO frustrating. After accepting the quest (all the guys were up at this time) and going to the first gate, I killed the mob after the NPC engaged him, then the 10 imps spawned. As a warrior, I had little choice other than to pop retaliation and challenging shout to make short work of them. Right before the last one dies, boom! Despawned NPC, after wasting a 30 minute cooldown...

i just (2.0.12) did this Q without any problem. killed all mobs (on second pylon i got agro before the Q NPC), scored killing blows on all adds and at least 1 engineer, and stil, completed the Q
EDIT: when i came to game now, aliance lock tried to get the Q, the NPC said its 'get ready' phrase and despawned, so im either lucky, or dunno...

1wave the imps. burned them down with instant casts
2nd wave the demonds killed 1 by 1 others i let the quest guy keep ago till i was ready for next 1

Soloed as an arms warrior, and again as a marksman hunter (was easier on the warrior, admittedly).

My pet died when doing it on the hunter but a few frost traps and some kiting did the trick.

I was able to solo this as a level 70 Holy Paladin, just make sure to take mana/food breaks after each wave of mobs. It could be a good idea to bring some health potions aswell. Good luck!

first round couple of imps came but easy to handle
second round 3 demons came but w/o any ablitiy usage still i do handle them
third round as easy as first round. one big guy came
all rounds were non-elites. thoughest was 2.round where i went down to %20 health and healed me before 3.round

Had no problem with this quest on my Mage and Shadow Priest, but found it incredibly frustrating with my feral Druid. The main problem is that the NPC will run past the engineers around each post and summon the mobs... while this was okay on the first and second waves, it consistently lead to my having to start the third wave with two additional warp engineers around, which simply wasn't going to happen.

I tried pulling the mobs to the NPC... if it were a normal NPC, he would have attacked them when they hit me, but he simply ignored them.

I tried killing the mobs around the third gate before he activated the first gate, but I was unable to do this fast enough to kill the third engineer and the imps while keeping us both up.

Ended up just giving up after dying five times or so. Annoying corpse run too. Ultimately the source of frustration wasn't just dying, but the fact that the stupid AI would keep activating the gates before the engineers were dead.

Soloed as a level 70 23/38 specced warlock, I really don't understand why this is a group quest. Easily soloed.

A few tips, on the imps load them up with seed of corruption, 3-5 seeds should take them all out.
Use your voidwalker if your specced into Master Demonoglogist, the 10% physical damage reducer is really nice.

If you get in too deep remember you can always banish one of the mobs/the mob you are having trouble with and bandage up. Good luck and have fun!

its cuz a bunch of no tallent people bought characters "blizzard" still wants thier money so they posted 3 players on the quest to make sure that at least they TOLD them that since they cant play for "well, lets face it you know what i want to say" that they had a chance if they just bring a few of thier friends.... horde tho.. we got this down.. bet all the previous write-ins are pretty much horde or mainly horde with a harrassment alliance toon.

Just did it with my shadow priest... wasn't sure i could solo and i got the help of a nice guy who was passing nearby... but anyway it's quite easy now.

On first pylon i got 2 non elite imps, on second pylon i got 3 demons, and on the last i got 1 demon. Pretty easy to manage with a bit of fear and dots to be honest.

Soloed with 70 feral druid. It was moderately challenging but as with any escort quest I was more worried about the NPC than myself.

I put on my tanking gear and made sure not to kill the engineers before starting the quest. While the NPC is hammering at each pylon, there's about 10-15 seconds to kill the engineer posted there, which was fine for me.

The imps were cake because they just deal a low amount of melee damage, something bear form is perfect for. The next group of 3 I handled similarly, with bear form and a bit of CC (nature's grasp). The third post is tricky only because there are 2 engineers posted there; still, in bear form I fought of the second engineer I couldn't kill fast enough along with the spawn.

Soloed as a 70 prot pally in decent Kara gear. Pop Righteous Fury, take the waves of enemies as they come, consecration keeps 'em off the NPC, let them kill themselves beating against you as normal, I didn't even have to heal except between pylons. I could see it being hardish for a non-70 to solo.

Solo'd as a lvl 70 enhancement shaman. some decent greens, 8500 health, 6800 mana - duel wield
1. first wave... as soon as you start to fight the lvl 68 guy, throw your Fire Elemental totem.. the fire guy will help you fight the 9 little demons. they are lvl 68, don't hit all that hard. there is a 2 min cooldown before you can throw your Earth elemental, so timing is crucial.

Heal a little bit you have a couple seconds..

2. second pylon, attack the lvl 68 guy, and then after you kill him the 3 demons come, throw your Earth elemental totem... he wont be able to help you all the way through cause these guys hit a little harder.. but he will buy enough time for you to get yourself a more even fight. then kill them.

3. last pylon, kill the 2 lvl 68s. the demon comes right after, fight him. hes a pushover.

Bam! done!

I just soloed this as a 70 arms warrior, not too difficult, a little strategy is necessary... But for some reason the NPC just vanished into thin air as soon as the legion destroyer was killed. Anyone else have this problem?

Ok, as a protection warrior I found out that it's useless to just gather mobs before they touch the NPC.
The NPC only comes to aid if he has been hit/tagged by one of the mobs. And then he will only kill the mob that has hitted him. So best way to do this is by letting him hit by every mob and then just take aggro from the NPC. This should let the NPC help you kill the mobs.
If you don't do this, and u don't get the mobs killed before he runs to the next pylon. He will just go to the next one and therefor luring more mobs at which point he will die.

As priest you will have no problem just shield and dot, no need to fear the imps as they might pull add mobs. Dot and fear the demons a bit back. Spank, sheild and heal on the lv70.
(lv70 holy specc)
The legs will sell for the highest amount 5g 32s 96c, at lv70 this adds upp to a total of 23g 60s 96c

Soloed as a 68/69 frostmage (became 69 while doing the quest) with crappy green gear. Tried to take out the engineers as fast as possible, while resting meanwhile he was doing his stuff.

Everything went well, and i used cold snap at the final mob since he hitted me a little bit harder than i expected, so i let my second elemental tank him while healing me and regen my mana.

soloed this as a 70 balance druid with full epic pvp gear, and i was really amazed.. I took out all the imps by throwing moonfire on each of them when they spawned, to get aggro, then i used barkskin and hurricane. When the larger demons arrived, i nuked them down individually, no big deal. Had a mana break after that, and at the third spot, when the larger demons arrived, i used treants and just nuked the hell out of them. This quest was very, very easy.

Easily soloable as a 68 feral druid in greens. Just go bear when the imps arrive, single target in cat form the three demons that spawn after that, then for the final guy, go cat, pounce, mangle twice, go bear and frenzied regen or bash & heal if necessary.

Soloable as a 70 Combat Sword Rogue. Try to eat between waves and don't go in unless you are at fully health. The NPC can take a bit of beating until you are fully healed.

Personally I would recommend using Blade Flurry on all waves (since it should be up for all of them) and if you have any sort of trouble use AR (I used mine on the last wave just to finish it fast, but it was only one mob).

Easily soloed as a 68 Frost-spec mage. I had no trouble at all other than on the imps, Yeah, too many of them to AoE, so I just took them seperately, have the dude tank, but get aggro on a few, and keep them CCed with Nova, its stupid to have them all on you. Of course, Ice Barrier helps a little...So keep that on if you're that type of person but I saw no need for it. Anyway, the second round was a little easier, having less at once. Let the guy tank two, and you quickly exterminate one, using burst-tactics by just Frostbolting then Ice Lancing. It really shouldnt be that hard, as the third guy is very easy to kill, being non elite and whatnot, just keep him frozen, and use your elemental if you need-be.

Easy quest for the xp and plate reward (A decently socketed https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24481 Robes of the Augurer makes the rewards of this useless!

Managed to solo at 69 with an affliction warlock with my imp out. Kill the mobs that were there before he got to the pylon and used Howl of Terror on every one just dotted them all up. almost died on the last wave though

Many people fail to mention that you gotta let the mobs hit Drijya first. If you get aggro first, Drijya will just keep on moving even though you are fighting! Thus making the quest much harder than it has to be.

So make sure Drijya takes a hit first. He will then stay and fight with you the whole time.

No worries as lv69 Prot Pally in standard eq.

Worth noting that you don't need to panic and try and kill stuff quickly, just let everything hit Drijya then consecrate to pull everything onto you - including the engineer(s). Sprinkle Judgements of Light and Wisdom throughout the pull and let HS and Consecrate kill everything for you. Pro-Pallys are designed for these kind of fights.

The lv70 demon on the 3rd pull isn't difficult and you can heal the npc if you really need to. I sat on my ass and let him start the 2xengineer/demon fight, cast HL on him and drew aggro.

Soloed this easily as a 70 demo warlock (standard 7/43/11 build). For the small groups of demons I did a simple Seed of Corruption->Shadow Bolt->Seed of Corruption->Shadow Bolt->etc. rotation. It blows up the imps quickly. I had to resummon my felguard once because I didn't watch his health too closely, but Drijya never got below 70% health.

70 Marksman hunter, solo, I won't say it was easy, but it is possible. On the first try too.

For me imps were the hardest. Kill imps as fast as possible, put down a snake trap too.

Make sure the guy is fighting with you, this will give you some time to eat

The three demons were very easy pet just tanked 2 while other is frozen.

Eat here but be quick about it, better to use a bandage and mana potion (if you use mana). Only bother taking down one of the workers, unless you have time, freeze the other one and own the Demon boss guy. Make sure to throw a Mend Pet's at your pet every so often.

Then kill the last worker and your good to go.

This is pretty easy to solo at 70 with epic gear. Had no problems whatsoever with epic PvP gear and Marksman/Survival hunter. Only real challenge is 13K health boss at the end, but if you can take a 13K hp mob down easily, you shouldn't have any problem with this.

Just try to eat and drink between waves--you get plenty of time.

I just successfully completed the quest.

Followed her around. At the first stop about 5 imps appear, wasn't hard to AoE them. At the next stop there's 2 non-elite demons, and at the last stop there's only 1 non-elite (although he took a while to get down).

I followed her back to the camp, and got the quest completed message.

Easy as lvl69 mage.

70 lock completed the quest no bug. Didn't pre clear. 5 imps popped sent void in. Sent void in grabbed agro...pulled them off one at a time tough fight but possible second fight starts almost right away so I was lucky it was demons. Sacraficed void for health buff enslaved one of three demon second fight easier than first. Third fight 2 demons one worked sent enslaved demon in and burned down the other. Fight would have been easier had I actually read these threads....but like i said no bug at end.

As a 70 arms/fury warrior. I thought since it was a 3-man quest it would have an elite at the end, so I never even used deathwish/trinkets, just lots of bandages, food, and sweeping strikes.

Just soloed it, level 68 feral druid.

Phase 1 is imps. Stay in cat form and take em out fast.
Phase 2 is demon guys. Pop into bear form because they hit too hard to do it in cat. Let the escort take one, you keep aggro on the other 2.
Phase 2 is a bigger demon guy. I started off in cat but it was obvious I wasn't gonna make it, so I switched off to bear after quite a bit of getting healed back up and finished it off.

Done.

Soloable for a 68 Hunter. Just be sure to heal up between each gate the NPC is working on. First one about 5 imps come out, they dont hit hard. Next I had 3 demons, these are about normal 68-70 mobs. Last mob is a tougher level 70 demon around 14,000 HP. Not tough at all, he didnt even get my pet down before I killed him. Note the NPC can usually tank one mob for a little while without dying, but dont leave him alone too long.

i had a quest to talk to him. after completed that quest i got this one. when i accepted it did not failed at start but i was alone and not sure to what i was up against with. got killed in the process and only got quest failed when npc died.
tried to start again and now says always quest failed right after i accept it.

Alright this is a guide for all the hunters out there. The first pylon you will get four imps. Let your pet tank two, let Drijya tank one, and freeze another. Make sure the pillars are clear before you start the quest.

The next encounter you will have three demons come out. Same principle. Freeze one, let Drijya tank one, and pet tank the other.

The last encounter will be two engineers and another demon. Freeze one. Let Drijya tank one, and let pet tank the other.

Simple.

Easy as pie with 70 bm hunter.. used frost trap at imps and kited them around with multi shots and one grenade till they all died. next to mobs freezed one and kill other.. then the final mob bw+intimidation rapid fire etc ggbbty

Like everyone else I tried starting after someone else had cleared and it failed immediately. Waited about 15min for the guards to all respawn, then started again. He got to the first pylon, we killed the guard there, and it failed. Waste of time atm.

4 adds around the warp gate.

I got 6 imps in the 1st wave. They are cake, only have like 4k health. Hit for like 75 with 40% reduced. The NPC tanked all of them while I picked them off one by one.

Second wave, was three Demons, normal lvl 67-70 mobs. Picked them one by one off the NPC.

Third wave was the lvl 70 demon. Does a knockdown, and doesnt hit too hard. I didnt even go below 50% mana doing this last guy.

Note: drink/eat between waves! Even if the NPC is getting attacked by an add.

When i accepted the escort quest without realising it, and then saw that it was recommended as a 3 man, i was like "aw crap". The quest did turn out to be surprisingly easy though.

I'm a lvl70 Mage, and AOE helped a lot (i'm Frost Mage btw). Only trouble i had was on the first pull of Imps, probably because there were more of them and they did a bit more damage to me. The rest was easy.

So if you're a 70 Mage/Warlock, you could probably solo this. Not sure about all other classes, though.

Oh and this quest wasn't bugged for me :)

I was 68 when I soloed this. Don't clear the camp beforehand as you fail it automatically, but I was able to kill the workers during the quest. Only just managed it, but worth it cos of the reward. Not only has it got great stats but great looks too, blood elf robes ftw.

Hats off to all those writing here who found it easy to solo. I'm a 70 beatmaster, and I did not.

The boss demon and a worker killed me the first time around. Several screwups on subsequent tries....until I finally got it done.

Not sure I have much useful to say other than try and kill the two third stage
workers before the boss demon even appears...then he is really no problem.

And unless you are obsessed with the solo like I was, just group with one more. Then it shouldn't be too hard.

And anyone reading this who had trouble with it, you are not alone.

Just done solo as 70 combat rogue, tough fight. Used all cd's, 2 heal pots, 3 bandages, and once stopped for food and just let him get hit for a while ;o)

Done on march 10th as a 70 shadow priest. Had to use my desperate prayer, but still completed. Fear is your friend on this one.

Soloed this as 70 mage.. It was just to easy... Though the quest was bugged first xD

He is healable. Soloed as a 70 Holy Priest. Had to suck a couple mana pots at the second pylon, but otherwise, doable.

The quest giver is on a respawn timer. Meaning, someone else can start the quest and you simply have to wait for it to come back.

Sabotage the Warp-Gate!

Escort Drijya to the warp-gate at Invasion Point: Destroyer, and see to it that he is kept safe while he attempts to sabotage it. Then speak to Gahruj at the Midrealm Post inside Eco-Dome Midrealm in the Netherstorm.

With the Burning Legion nearby at the fel reaver scrap field, we must do what we can to stop the flow of demons into the area.

They have a warp-gate to the south in an area that they've cleverly named Invasion Point: Destroyer.

I need you to go with me to the site and keep me safe while I sabotage it.

Afterward, go to the Midrealm Post to the north inside Eco-Dome Midrealm and apprise Gahruj of our success.

We're going to need a friend or two of yours along to help with this.
