Easy to kill for 70 shadowpriest. I did find that if you fear the pets, they sometimes glitch and live after the nethermancers die.

I have NEVER had such a problem with adds; and these guys will f*cking rip you limb from limb.

I found an excellent place for a hunter to farm these. Up beside the Manaforge there's a small ridge between two hilltops @ coords 29.1, 37.5. There are six Necromancers in the vicinity, five in easy range (2 on left, 3 on right). Just go from hilltop to hilltop and eat/drink in between, they respawn in one area while you're farming the other. Take your time and let them separate a little, and you shouldn't draw any aggro - except the minions, which you can ignore because they'll die when you kill their master (at least, most of them do). Also watch out for the demon that patrols between them and the forge - though if you hit her after you've cleared the Necromancers from one of the areas, she's not so hard to take out either!

as an ice mage it was no problem. straight foward ice bolt till they die mabey fireblast at end but ignored minion and had no trouble. so casters dont be afraid after reading some of these posts.

Hunters and other ranged DSP'ers: ignore the pet. It dies when the nethermancer dies. Watch for the adds and burn cooldowns if you pull multiple nethermancers. Use silence shot to take the edge off their attacks. No problem.

This is a very easy quest and doesnt take very long you just need to kill the minions first so they dont do there aoe which doesnt really do much damage anyway. Good idea for hunters to use Viper stings on the Nethermancers cause they use there mana really quicly.

As a caster, I totally disagree with the prior two posts which indicate that one should kill the minions first. I sent my voidwalker every time to attack the nethermancer and it of course agro'd the minion. I ignored the minion and took down the nethermancer immediately and with ease. As soon as the nethermancer dies, the minion explodes, so why would you waste mana and damage on a mob that doesn't touch you and will die as soon as its master dies? The advice about attacking the minion first may be correct for melee types (I don't know), but even then, it doesn't sound right.

Just did this as a 70 Frost mage. It is possible to pull them without aggroing others if you wait until they move apart. I also ignored the pet. The pet has low HP but doesn't seem to hit that hard anyway. FB the nethermancer then hit Ice Barrier and FB again followed by Ice Lance anytime they freeze. I died once when I aggroed two more. They do hit hard. You should take out the demon princess pat anytime she comes around to prevent aggroing her too. Nice almost 12g reward for not a lot of work.

Pick one and kill it's minion BEFORE the nethermancer. Then move the nethermancer very close to another nethermancer. When you kill yours, the other one's minion has a bug and believes that the one you killed what it's master, and kills itself without agroing anything. Then you can move on to the next one without fighting another minion. =)

The blood elves are fools! I'm glad that our trade relations with them have fallen apart. In all of my travels throughout the cosmos, I have never encountered beings so selfish.

They continue to destroy the land around us with their manaforges, so let's see if we can put a dent in their operations across the bridge at Manaforge Ara.

Their nethermancers channel energy to and from the blood gems to stabilize the flow of power. Go over there and wipe them out!
