Pretty easy one, only different from before is that you get more normal mobs and elite in the end, no need to even kill the elite.

About three times more mobs spawn to try and stop you, so it's harder than the other manaforges but still pretty easy so long as you have the suggested 3 people. Elite spawns at the end, he's also straightforward and easy to kill.

Possible to solo for - I did it as 70 lvl feral druid with equipped tanking gear.
Mobs are spawning fast and I was able to kill only few of them, but they are not hitting too hard, so just attack those trying to stop countdown (channeling beam toward console) and survive two minutes. I've died 5 seconds before shutdown but still completed the quest.

The conrtols are at, 25, 38

and entrance is at 25,41

Its a good idea to clear room before doing it, 2 Elites spawn. Any extra mobs would suck. AoE classes would be the best for this.

I don't think this is soloable unless you can do decent AOE.
Mobs keep spawning in a group of 3.

Even you don't have to kill the elite to complete the quest.

not difficult at all for a shaman, for every single manaforge quest, i just pop fire elemental, and anything that gets close is destroyed

We had probs with 2 warriors and a disc/holy priest. The priest kept drawing aggro for some reason. One of the warriors switched to his fire mage and the cloth wearers still had probs but the tank was able to hold out long enough for the shutdown and soloed the 70e.

I would never call this the cakewalk previous contributors have implied because there are so many mobs you can't tell where they're all coming from, the guy you take the crystal off of in the first place respawns and, of course, the 70e shows up.

Maybe in tier or arena armor it's easy, not so easy if you're still working on aquiring your set.

It's possible to walljump up the interior side of the Manaforge after triggering the shutdown, from there all the mobs will evade, all you have to do is keep them in combat for two minutes, no fighting necessary.

Did this with a Prot Warrior, BM Hunter and Enhancement Shaman. Warrior gatherting mobs while the other 2 killed the mobs. Any AoE aggro spell/skill will work to stop them aborting the shutdown.
Just did it with Demoralizing Shout and Thunderclaps. At some point the sight becomes rather slim, especially when the Elite bloke comes. But there will be a few more groups behind him. That's where we failed first time. We didn't see the other group stopping the shutdown. So pay attention and use Shield Blocks and Shouts like all the time. :}

The first post was a bit misleading though. Thought that it was one of these Blizzard quests that says you need X ppl, while in fact you can do it just solo. But this one is really advised to get more people for.

This is soloable as a 70 holy pally in Kara gear.

Don't bother trying to kill anything (too expensive on mana). Just pick up all the mobs trying to stop the deactivation with consecrate. I did this, as well as inadvertently picking up 3 or 4 engineers and the "overseer" or whatever which respawned.

Just spam heals until quest complete, then bubble 'n run. :)

I just solo'd as a T5ish ele shammy. Though in truth, I cheated. I was able to keep all the mobs down for most of the fight, used Earth elemental to tank after the first minute. Then I died. At the end of the timer, I hit self res, and got the complete (while failing) Only way it could have been better is if I had selfressed to Frostshock after.

soloed as a hunter.... killed first two waves, ice trapped the rest, died when it had 15 secs till shutdown, and the elite was trying to stop it >.<

I didn't released, tho, so i completed the quest, wooo.

делается тяжело, выполняли hunter 70 и warrior 70, принципиальное значение имеет только хант, его мульти шот в частности. координаты 26.40 рекомендую зачистить быстро территорию, потом посмотреть видео http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOr6daa4iGE нужно запрыгнуть туда и вызвать толпу. а дальше дело техники и проворности ханта )

тяжело потому что другими так не прокатит, плюс первый раз не получилось из-за не зачищеной территории (отвлекаться преходилось)

Just soloed as a 70hunter. I found it impossible to kill all the adds fast enough before the elite spawned. An easy way to do this solo is as soon as you start the quest, jump up on the middle platform and just keep hitting all the mobs that try to shut it down. They will evade but they won't hit you, so just keep doing it until it is complete. easy!

I've completed this multiple times yet I receive absolutely no credit for it. The warlock has enslaved the demon at the end, but one of the times that happened one of our three party members received credit.

Its possible to get onto the 'table' in the centre with a female tauren, but i cant get close enough to the console to activate it. So ill post how i did it in the hopes someone else can find away.
By jumping diagonally in between the circular centre piece and the extrusion with the console its possible to get up onto it. Standing on that it not possible to click on the controls but you can push yourself up slightly onto the extrusion thingy. Still ahvent gotten it to work 100% though but maybe itll be of use to some other taurens

As of 3/10/08 the platform trick is no go - they've placed invisible walls around the jump points so you can't get close enough to jump up.

Tried the center raised area exploit, and while you can get up there, we had the quest shut down after a handful of mobs, never had the elite come out. IMO this is really more of a 4 player Q, it's awfully tough for three. We got a 4th for our 3rd try, and got it.

Can't say I was disappointed in the reward, as I knew what it was going to be, but... resell is garbage (less than a G), and item choices are not all that great for a Q this lvl. I just did this Q for the (in my case) Aldor rep.

Apparently this quest is kinda buggy, but in a good way? I just solo'd it, but not by standing on the platform. an alliance druid was there who kinda helped me. He died early (moonkin) and I stayed in bear rounding up all the guys I could. At 30 seconds I died (the elite came just after 1 min). I released and started to run back when I got the message "Manaforge Ara Shut Down." YES I released and THEN got credit. Lucky me.

Afterwards I helped him, and the elite didn't even spawn! also when the 3 add groups came if one group was already engaged the second group did nothing. Didn't attack, didn't try to stop the countdown. This event is deffinately bugged, but in a good way.

Agree really easy if you jump up onto the plinth behind the control panel. Soloed as 70 priest and took no damage to speak of. Look at the video link posted by Wellwisher. This applies to all of the "Shutting down" quests

I'm a 70 Tauren hunter and just did this with a very good undead mage + we had some help from a kind Dranei Shaman. Can't say we had a strategy....just chaos.

I tried to solo it from the platform a couple months ago. Had line of site problems.

Mainly suggest you bring a group with at least one good CC caster.

Solo'd as level 70 arms warrior, but would've been just as doable at 66+

Jump up on the platform that is directly behind the shutdown console, it's a pretty easy jump and should only take a few tries. From there, use your throwing/ranged weapon to prevent the mobs from channeling the shutdown spell. Try to hit them as soon as they spawn as this will freeze them in place and they won't ever channel the shutdown spell.

Note: You wanna make sure you clear all of the caster mobs surrounding the inner platform right before starting, as they will be able to attack you. They also respawn in about 2-3 minutes so you wanna clear them and then start the shutdown immediately after. The quest seems to not complete unless you exit combat as well, so make sure you have credit for completion before leaving the forge.

You can also start the shutdown from the inner platform, but you'll have to spam jump and click super fast as you can only interact with the console at the peak of your jump when you're on that platform.

Travel to Manaforge Ara and obtain the Ara Access Crystal from Overseer Azarad. Use it at the Manaforge Ara console to shut it down.

Performing quests for the Aldor will cause your Scryers reputation level to decrease.

One manaforge is all that keeps Tempest Keep functional. After we bring Manaforge Ara down, Kael will have to resort to depleting whatever energy he's got stored up.

Travel to Manaforge Ara, in the northwest, and deliver the final blow that we need by shutting it down.

The last access crystal is in the possession of Overseer Azarad. Be warned that we expect heavy opposition in the last of Kael's functional manaforges. You're likely to need the assistance of reliable friends.
