This appears to be bugged as of 01/24/2007. You can kill the Overseer and collect the Crystal, but the machine doesn't allow you to shut it down.

Worked just as the previous shut down quest. Kill the named npc (middle of the forge, can't miss it), click the panel. Then, defend it for 2 mins, and you got it.

For the 4th time in a row, I killed the overseer but can't loot it, even if the body is sparkling. The loot window won't show up.

Anybody esle experiencing this?

Just killed the overseer and I could loot it, everything seemed to work just fine. Even the shutdown is happening as I write. So it doesn't appear to be bugged.

Using your Sunfury disguise kit (it should still have 2 charges) helps you easily get in and back out of the place without problems.

Put it on, go in. Remove the disguise, kill the 2 or three nearby mobs, kill the Overseer, and start the shutdown.

Once the shutdown is complete, put the disguise back on and waltz out of there and back to the quest dude.

While you don't get to keep the disguise, you should still have a few minutes left from the previous quest, so you can walk in and click the disguise buff off.

When you start it there will spawn Sunfury Tecnichians that will start channelig some power thingy on the big battery, rogues can just sap theese and they will stop and despawn after 15-20 seconds.

В точке 49.81 возле CORUU CONTROL CONSOLE находится OVERSEER SEYLANNA с которой дропается нужный нам кристал. Зачищаем все вокруг на всякий случай, что бы не могло помешать. Юзаем CORUU CONTROL CONSOLE и гасим всех кто пытается к нам приблизиться втечени 2-х минут.Квест готов.

I have killed this hooker 5 times and so far, no crystal... What gives?

I didn't really find the techs much of a problem. One of them got about 2 seconds zapping the generator & didn't deactivate it, but that was it. As a marksman spec hunter with absolutely stuff-all stam/armour, I was able to simultaneously tank 3 of the techs at once... you just tag them and forget about them - the amount of damage they do, a cloth wearer'd probably be fine.

The biggest problem is the normal mob regens - I killed the overseer, took out the researchers, had the overseer respawn & killed him again, had one researcher respawn about a minute into the countdown & killed him, had another respawn with 30 seconds to go & killed him, shutdown completes & then the damn overseer respawns again. It's a good thing you can tag & forget the techies, cos you can't ignore the researchers/overseer.

Oh, and the 2 charges you should have leftover on the sunfury robes here come in handy - you can just activate them going in & out so you don't have to worry about the guards outside (although when I came out, the robes deactivated after about 15 seconds... but I'd already run past the guards anyway).

I have tried this 3 times now and each time it stops the shutdown when on of the guys channeling in the center repops.....only problem is he immedietely despawns so i think only way to do this well is to make sure to knock guys in the center out without much time in between otherwise 1 repops and makes the whole damn thing fail...pretty retarded if you ask me.....why they repoping during an event and why the hell do they despawn immedietely?

EXTREMELY easy as rouge.

as soon as you enable the shutdown stealth imediatly and sap the guys that come, doesnt matter if more than one come because u just sap them both and once they come out of sap they wont try and disable it.

This one's a bit more hectic than the last. At around one minute the techs will start showing up in pairs to try to stop you. One hit is all it takes to get their attention, just keep an eye out for more running in while you're busy killing them off.

The good news is that the elite stays on the other side of the room well out of aggro range.

Shutting Down Manaforge Coruu

Obtain the Coruu Access Crystal from Overseer Seylanna. Use it at the Coruu Control Console to shut down the manaforge and return to Caledis Brightdawn.

Performing quests for the Scryers will cause your Aldor reputation level to decrease.

Thalodien told us of your success in disabling Manaforge B'naar. He expects a repeat performance here and asked us to keep an eye out for anyone using a crystal to access the console inside. Overseer Seylanna holds the access crystal, we're sure of it.

Go back in there and finish the operation. No need to be stealthy anymore; get the crystal, begin the shutdown, kill the technicians trying to stop you and get out.

Hurry, it won't be long before Kael's lapdogs sniff us out.
