I (Frost Mage) did this with a Prot Tank, Feral Druid, Holy Priest, and Sanakan of DnT (I believe Fury). It was NOT easy and came down to the wire.

The fight is 2 phased with the 1st phase being a simple tank-n-spank on some guy named "Kaylaan". He will heal himself, but it can be counter spelled or kicked or whatever. Phase 2 is where you fight the main guy "Socrethar". He is tanked by High Priestess Ishanah from Shattrath. He will do several things, but nothing horribly overbearing to wipe you without knowing about it.

You cannot heal the NPCs so this is mainly about killing Socethar as fast as possible without pulling aggro. Don't do this without a serious 5 man group.

That ports you to 31, 18 which after a few nonelites, you fight Socrethar and Kaylaan.

Just did this quest with a warlock and rogue (me). The first guy is a pushover, just dps and kick him at 50% when he heals. Stunlock and the NPCs will help you. Heal up and for the second part of the fight, just banish the dude every 30 seconds and let the NPC heal herself. She'll run out of mana at about 20%-10% of his health, so you gotta be on the ball here to DPS/Banish him accordingly. Took about 20 minutes, but we did it!

Tried to do this quest with two lvl 70 rogues. Started fine, we burned the first guy down to about 30% and Socrethar yeled something like "Finish them, young one" at which point Kaylaan ran back to stand next to Socrethar and was an 'invalid target' for all attacks. out of the 3 NPC's that start with you, two died. Only Adyen survived..so that might have something to do with it.

Do with two lvl 70 ( Rogue and hunter). We 've had the advantage of our alliance: one Aldor and one scryer. The add of the two faction's quests made us down the boss in less than three minute (for all event).

After many weeks of being bugged virtually every time I have came out to do it. I FINALLY completed this quest last night. It seems the only requirement to the quest is have the High Preistess survive. I flew out to Island where the demon is and a horde group was doing the quest (I'm a Dwarf Paladin). I decide to lend a hand and to my surprise once the big guy died I got credit for the event. I'm sure this is bugged but enjoy it while you can!

Yesterday, I done it with mixed group (aldor and scryers quest) : no problem, the 3 NPC come and help us to kill the 2 bosses.

Done in one shot with 1 mage, 2 druid, 1 warlock and 1 shaman

I actually finished this outside of the group that tagged it! I was farming the mobs around the boss for Marks and Fel Arms and decided to help a group doing it just for the heck of it, and it ended up completing my quest!! I died fighting Socreth but they were nice enough to rezz my after. : )

The teleportation stone still remains in my inventory after i completed the quest, i did 99% of all quests and have not found any other use for it, so unless you want it for the fun of teleporting its safe to delete.

Just did it (23.02.07 EU server Kul Tiras) with 1 Paladin, 2 mages and 1 Warlock and me Hunter, all lvl 70. One of the Mages critted Socrethar little over 8k, so it appears he has a weakness in fire spells. And by the way, we wiped on the first try and we went in try again the NPCs where all there back. The Warlock for some reason could not talk to NPC to start the quest, but I could. All went well and we got him, almost thought the quest bugged when the High Priestess spawned, but no.

What'd you do to get the GM to reset it for you? When I put my ticket in, GM I spoke with basically gave me the same ol' same ol'... He instructed me to drop the quest and retake it... so hauled back to Shatt, and then back to Netherstorm... yah, still, non-aggroable... quest still busted.

Done it twice correctly, and the shit bugs. GM's? "Not working as intended", at least they confess, but that ain't good enough, since not even they can reset the event. Pathetic.

This quest is still partially bugged, but my group still did it and wow it's almost 2mannable!

We got to the place and the NPC's weren't moving and one guy said if we pulled a mob to the NPC's and had the NPCs go to the boss then it starts, well it did! The NPCs died very quickly beacuse we were unable to attack but as soon as they died, we could. And I usually get 1600 backstabs, but on him I was getting 6k backstabs, this guy went down so fast so just pull a mob up to the npcs, have the npcs kill the mob near the bosses and the event works out. After Socrethar(sp?) dies it gives completion for the Aldor quest, not sure on Scryer but noone said they didn't get credit.

I suppose it doesn't hurt to try, but this quest bugged out on our group as well. Pulling mobs over to the npcs didn't work for us, and the GM I talked to said that he couldn't reset it, along with giving the whole "we're aware of this issue... blah, blah" spiel.

More power to you, if you can get it to work. I guess I'll have to look somewhere else for a pally tanking belt for now.

3manned him: Paladin Mage Rogue. I, the rogue, tanked. Vorenthal's presence made the fight doable. Don't think you need a "serious five man group" if you've got a good healer and dps. We walked into this thinkin a wipe was certain, but found it to be a standard drawn-out boss fight.

The first time I tried to complete this quest it was bugged, so I submitted a ticket. The GM that responded about 30 minutes later not only reset the instance and apparently stayed to watch us complete it, he also left my ticket open and fixed the Nexus-king encounter for us. Wish I could remember his name... :( :(

I'm not sure why so many folks are having problems with the GMs. Maybe it's because there are different levels of GMs??

Duo'd by me (Vile 70 Lock) and Question (70 Priest) on Ysera. Dont let Kaylaan heal at 50% and keep an eye on high priestess during second battle and when she gets low on health chain banish Socrethar until she heals herself to 80 or 90%. took us about 15 minutes to do.

there is a similar quest line for people friendly with the Scryers, and the last part of the quest line has the same objective, to kill Socrethar. Im wondering if you can do this quest with a mixed group of Scryers and Aldor, and still complete the quest for everyone at the same time. I would think you would be able to, but you never know

Do NOT forget to talk to Isa after the fight is done. After my group downed Socrethar I thought I was done.

You do not get the "Complete" status until after you talk with the NPC.

And it has to be after the fight, before she despawns. I tried going to see her in Shattrath but no luck, can't complete until I find another group and do it all over again.

We did it with 4 lvl 70's, Prot Warrior, Holy Priest, Frost Mage, Marksman Hunter. We had some minor mana issues but it could have been worse if our DPS didnt bandage twice each during the fight. We forgot to distribute food and water so I had to use my undersporepod to regen my mana. Didnt bother doing it twice because he was below 10% health by then.

my advice is try find someone who is scryer to do this with because they have an item which increases the damage you do him. we did this with two rogues and a lock (the lock drain tanked) and it was really easy. only the other rogue was aldor and we didnt have to do the first part.

2 useful tips:

1. Meatshield + Bear = 7 sec aggro lead for both Bosses. Bear initializes aggro managment. Meatshield stays high on threat.
2. Dps stay on angles behind the boss for both fights. Use cooldowns @ 75% of both fights. Repeat as available.

2 must-do procedures:

1. Salvation on all dps players, except for fury warrior. All players must be focused on watching & stopping the castings of both bosses - aka: interrupt/stun/kick/etc.
2. Remember to watch for group members health levels that fall below 35%. Use self healing (pots, bandages, etc.) before asking for a heal.

Simple protocol for a pretty fun scripted fight. Enjoy the show and the quest rewards.

this was easy, the group i had was Prot/Ret Pally, Hunter (me), and holy priest, the one problem was that since we killed both of them on the first attempt we did not know what was going to happen after the Kaylaan healed himself but we saw the heal and interupted it, the one problem was the fight with Socrethar, we did not know it would take that long so we ended up having the preist oom at about 10% lol but the pally used hammer of wisdom and that helped a bit, the best part was after we watched a group of horde, (all 5) wiped on the first attempt, hehe

Me and some guildies just did this quest and we didnt have to do a single thing. We watched another group doing the quest and after they downed the boss me and my guildies got credit for completing the quest and all we did was hang out and watch.

I just did this with a fury warrior with tanking gear on. I was quite surprised how easily I could keep on healing the warrior as a Holy Paladin. Still it took us 20 minutes to get it to 70%, so finally a guildie could help us out and then it took us still another 10 minutes.

However this doesn't require 5 people, as long as you have a healer with decent mana regen.

Bugged out today for my group. We defeated Kaylaan and he kneeled down by Socrethar. Immediately after, the friendly aldor NPCs aggroed Socrethar and we were unable to aid them. We couldn't attack Socrethar! Unsure of how it happened but someone in our group said they might've stepped out of the circle. We waited a good 20 minutes after the friendly NPCs were killed by Socrethar and Kaylaan was still spawned in his defeated kneeling position. The friendly NPCs were back in their starting position and we tried again. When Socrethar introduced Kaylaan the fight bugged out again and no new Kaylaan appeared. This stopped the event from continuing.

In typical blizzard fashion, no GM showed up after a good long wait and we said we'd try it another day.

It's lovely that this awesome pally tanking belt is essentially available only to Alliance paladins, as Horde only has blood elves, who default to being friendly to Scryers and hated by the Aldor. Go blizz.

Ok.. the full story would be,
3 Aldor NPCs spawn, and you tell one of them that "I'm ready."

NPCs will proceed to Socrethar. They will start talking, after a while Kaylaan will spawn and Socrethar will cast a spell on him and make him fight us.

Kaylaan will cast "Heal" when he is low on HP, can be interrupted. Just simply take him down.

Soon after, Ishanah will spawn and start talking again.
Ishanah and the other 2 Aldor NPCs will attack Socrethar, and the main point is, Ishanah will be tanking Socrethar.
Socrethar will cast a "fireball" spell which is an AoE, avoid this by attacking it from behind or ranged. Also a "Shadowbolt Volley" but this can be interrupted, and you better interrupt it if you dun have a healer in group.

Ishanah is an uber tank and she can heal herself, there are more than one way to do this without a full group -

1. A warrior taunts Socrethar with shield wall when Ishanah is about to die. So she will have time to heal back to about 80%.

2. Shaman lays Earth Elemental Totem, same function as a warrior, being a soap :p

3. Warlock's banish.

afterall, it's a DPS fight.

One more point to add in, Scyers have the same quest on killing Socrethar, which they will have an item to weaken Socrethar(damage done lowered by 3/4 & damage taken increased by 400%).
Combining the Aldor NPCs with Scryers' weakening buff.
You can certainly auto-attack on Socrethar and go for a sleep.. lol

totally solo-able with a shadow priest. just use the debuff item (im scryer rep) and throw VE+VT and watch as huge pretty numbers fly out all over the place. almost died a few times but crits helped restore most of my mana and health back up. try to keep pw:s up all the time and keep using mind blast every time the CD is up. be careful with sw:d!

This quest is still having some issues for Aldor characters, but one major thing is that you *DO NOT* have to do the event to still get credit in the Aldor version. If the quest bugs up for you, call a GM and have them reset Socrethar, but instead of doing the event just kill Socrethar. Easy way to avoid the bug with Ishanah not continuing the event.

We where four to do this, one of us had the scryer version wich made him very vulnerable (som kind of debuff on they could put on him). This made it very easy. I critted more than 8000 with a frostbolt (normaly about 2500).

While trying to get a group on LFG, I watched as a group of Allies killed him. Then I noticed a yellow ? after the fight. Speak to the lady, complete quest. Voila. I'm lovin' it!

This quest was a cakewalk with me (70 holy priest) and my 70 warlock friend. The lock was Scryers and I was Aldor, we didn't even start this "event" everyone talks about at all, just ran in and started fighting him ourselves. He used his quest item, I made sure he was healed, and it took no time at all. Just killed Socrethar in a minute or two and then went back to Shatt to turn it in. 5-man quest? Please.

This can be 2-manned if the other is Scyer, the first guy is the hard part, but if someone dies they can run back during the mid-fight event.

On Socrethar have the npcs tank, use the scyer to help burn him down.

this is soo full of crap, i saw this boss and looked it up on wowhead, saw he's part of a questline, rewards were awsome, plate gloves with nice stats + hitrating, suiteable for a DW warrior like me, tried to get the quest but was no where to be found, turns out only SCRYERS get that part of quest and rewards, thanks Blizzard for giving warriors NOTHING usefull here.

I had this quest before 2.3, deleted it to make room for others and cannot seemingly get it back 11/19/07. There is a ticket open on this quest for this reason. Please look for other posts on this thread regarding quest bugs, as it seems this quest is quite buggy. These are the best Feral Shoulders in the game and it will be shame if I can't get them.

confirmed... the group can be mixed. We tried it the scryer way first and wiped. Found it much easier to do this version, if you have any aldors in the group.

Easily completed w/ 69 Shadow Priest & 70 Protection Warrior. Duo'd.
Time to complete: 8 minutes start to finish. The dialog was about just as long as the battle.

The big secret was obviously Aldor/Scryer mix.

The first guy was pretty easy as long as I kept Shield Bash and Concussion Blow up to prevent the healing. It seemed about 20-30% the battle with him is over and he converts to "good" as part of the aldor story line.

When it was Socrethar's turn we used the Scryer quest item to increase damage and let the aldor npc's tank. Priest was on hand to heal after Shadow Volley, but for the most part went DPS. It is worth keeping in mind that he does get a buff to increase shadow resistance and arcane resistance by 100 prior to the battle and the AOE Shadow Volley hit me (509DEF, 13k Armor, No Resistance) for about 1500.

Actually found the first guy a lot harder as he attempted to heal himself twice on me. Once at 48% and once just before he converted back to friendly (about 30%).

I found both NPC's able to be stunned/interrupted.

Completed this quest with ease dual-boxing with a warrior in full arena s2/vets and a resto druid with around +1500 healing gear.

Could not have been more simple and that's after me failing to interrupt the heal during phase one....twice! You get time to rest and drink after the first part of the fight, so my druid was full on mana by the time the second phase started.

Pitched a few heals to the NPC tanking (she heals herself mostly) and dps'ed with the warrior for several minutes. The AoE was trivial so keeping both the warrior and druid topped off required nothing more than an occassional Lifebloom.

I'd say this is easy to do with one solid DPS and pretty much any kind of healer. NPCs do almost all of the work.

Quest is still bugged on the Argent Dawn realm. Kaylaan respawned in front of Soc, in the kneeling postion, aldor npcs are in front of them both.

This quest is pretty easy once you get the hang of things, as long as you have a healer by your side. Should you however fail and wipe, just wait approx 3-5 mins then reuse the teleporter and the NPCs should respawn and you can try again.
Remember that both Kaylaan and Socrethar are stunable.

Did this with 2 tier 5 hunters. Just pull him all the way off the platform out in the open (clear a path on one side first ). Kite him back and forth between the two of you, when you run out of mana or room to run, FD+drink and have your buddy pick it up. rinse/repeat (took about 10-15 min btw)

Once he died, got complete on the quest, no funny bugs or events.

For those who just flew straight to the seat without using the teleporter:
you can use the teleportation stone at the seat of socrethar aswell. This will also cause the aldor mobs to spawn.

Duo'd as a Prot paladin (myself) with a resto shaman. Took about 10 minutes but all we did is kept all the helpers up and stun when need be. at the last few percent of his health we took out our oathkeepers and finished it. Quite proud of ourselves afterwards.

This was perhaps the easiest quest I have ever completed. I did it by myself and didn't even have to enter combat.

While on my Alliance druid (Aldor), I was looking for a group to do this quest (the proper way). It was taking a while to get responses so I decided to fly up to scout out Socrethar's Seat. I had never been up there and wanted to see what I was up against. As it turns out, there was a horde group about to kill Socrethar so I decided to watch the battle. I lowered down a bit (in flight form) and watched them fight. To my surprise, when they killed Socrethar, I got a "Quest Complete" message on my screen. I simply hearthed back to Shattrath and was able to turn in quest to Ishanah.

It's possible to do this quest without really doing anything but showing up at the right time. My advice for those who can't get a group, explore the area and try to take advantage of another group doing this fight. It sure helped me out. Easiest quest I've completed in a long time! Good luck.

Here what I did. I had a group of a few people, but everyone was aldor and not strong enough to handle it as-is. I happen to have a hunter alt that's scryer and havent' finished the quest yet. So being clever, I brought the hunter and use the item that makes him take a lot more dmg and we finished very easily. Then I relogged shaman right after thinking to just talk to the guy and finish the quest as others here have reported.

Didn't work.

Either it's been changed so you actually have to be in the killing group, or at the very least you need to be there on the character close by when the kill happens.

As a small note, one of the pvp specced mages did 20k crit frostbolts.

Our grp: a warrior(me) tanked him, fury warrior, and 2 pallies did this. It was bugged and we had to page a GM to reset it, he did and after 15 min. we went for it. Now I had the quest for awhile and didn't remember the part where it says some NPC's will show up to help us.

When we ported there there was two NPC's right by the summoning machine but we couldn't do anything with them, one of them allowed us to turn in Mark of Sargeras, like the NPC on Aldor Rise. A moment later the NPC's disappeared. So we did the whole battle without any of the NPC's.

It was a very, very, very long fight. :D

After getting a GM to despawn all the mobs about four times, and seeing the quest get stuck at the same spot every time (after fighting the first guy), I've decided the only way to complete this quest is by attacking Socrethar without assistance from the npcs.

This was bugged for my group (resto druid, feral druid(me), hunter, mage). Kaylaar the Lost was a demon, and the Aldor NPCs were there, and both enemies were unattackable. I paged a GM; after ten minutes they responded. It took three minutes to explain the problem, and seven more for him to fix it. The fix worked and we promptly proceeded to complete the quest.

Also, my three teammates were Scryers, so we did their quest (where they used Vorenthal's Gift, and we didn't bother with the Aldor NPCs). However, I got credit for the quest anyways, so Aldors and Scryers can work together on this (their corresponding quest is called Turning Point.)

It's a good idea (but not necessary) for you to have your group teleport over at the same time. When you get to the teleporter and kill the mobs guarding it, one of you creates a portal inside the teleporter and everyone uses it.

You will appear on the island. The 3 Drenai should be there, or arrive shortly thereafter. Wait for them to show up. When you are ready, have someone talk to the Drenai and they will start heading towards Socrethar. They'll kill everything in their path, but it's fun to help them out.

Eventually you climb up some stairs to the platform upon which Socrethar stands. DO NOT ATTACK SOCRETHAR. Not yet, anyway.

This is where your good buddy, the whiny Kaylaan the Lost, puts in an appearance. He's become a Bad Guy. Wait for the Drenai to finish talking to him, and he will attack them. Help the Drenai but DO NOT ATTACK SOCRETHAR. Pull the dark side loser away from Socrethar and beat him down. Eventually, he will stop attacking.

There will be another interlude at this point. Again, DO NOT ATTACK SOCRETHAR. Wait till the conversations play out, and then, when Socrethar rushes towards Kaylaan and the other Drenai, ATTACK SOCRETHAR.

Socrethar has a lot of HPs, and casts stuff that seem to blunt or entirely stop magic attacks. However, I didn't notice him doing anything that prevents melee attacks. And while he doesn't hit super-hard, it can make for a long battle, so use your mana wisely. Eventually, you'll bring him down.

Now, if you do attack Socrethar early, you'll probably find that none of your attacks do any damage. Obviously, after that, you're screwed. So, remember not to attack Socrethar early, even if you feel a strong urge to smack him upside his demonic head. Be patient and your time will come.

Tauren beastmaster hunter. Just did this one...as a free ride with an alliance group. Was fun and very easy.

Had tried to get a horde group together without any luck. Later thought to do a quick fly by of the island (30,17). Got VERY lucky. A 5 player alliance group was getting ready....think it was two rogues, a pally, a warrior, and a mage.

They patiently waited for all the NPC talking to conclude.....when the fight started I stood at range, sent in my pet and let loose with da sustained dps.

I'm aldor but there must have been scryers among them with the special trinket, because Socrethar went down in slightly under two minutes. I know this because I started that fight with Bestial Wrath and its 2 minute cooldown had not quite completed when Socrethar fell.

As other have mentioned, though I was not in the group...and not even in the alliance....I did get credit for the quest completion (and the ring is an upgrade for me....finally have my hit rating almost to where I need it (100) for the beginnings of the high end of PvE).

It was Sweet (Thanks Alliance Scryers!) ; - )

Did this quest as people suggested, by letting the NPCs do the tanking and we do DPS.
The first elite hit quite hard and he went down fast, but the main named elite died so fast, I was really expecting more...

1 Paladin
1 Druid

I was just around to find some mana thistle when a group started :) I just gave him some moonfire i was NEVER in the group and stod far away but got the q done, dont know how and why but happy happy :) And i got some mana thistle too. Not bad.

we tryed now. And first he makes a elite that you need to kill(almost) and then long talk blablabla and I attacked him to tank him. I am feral druid with 13k armor and 12k hp with the buffs, and he killed me in 2 hits! so its no need to try and tank. you can let the elite on your team do that. just try and nuke him down before the elite dies.

We were hanging around looking for extra members with an incomplete group and our NPCs at the ready when a full group turned up to kill him, and while they got stuck in to the elites we backed them up with DPS. Interestingly, those of our group that were in the area and doing this got quest 'complete' anyway - a nice surprise - can't complain at that :)

Did it today, was bugged, but found a temp fix. Pull anyone of the demons around right past him, and he should attack, and become attackable. Worked for us, NPCs attacked, we beat him down, got quest completion

Like the poster above me said, don't try to tank either of the 2 mobs. They will kill you extremely fast.

That being said, what is probably most important on this quest is stunning and silencing the second of the 2 mobs.

We did this quest with only 4 people and as long as the npcs tanking the boss stays up, it's a very easy quest.

Druid tanked him, he hit for maybe 1200 nothing major 4 man group did, no npcs showed up though.

done this earlier on Emeriss. Easy as pie, warrior, priest, paladin and myself (warlock). Only problem i had was socrethar died on the NPC to hand the quest in and by time his corpse was gone, so was she =(

so went thru the whole deal...killed em in the end....but my npc's diodnt make it....where the hell do i turn this in? It says complete.....ready to throw this machine out of the window

OK need to know 2 things...

1) Is this horde only? I know it says Both, but the prereq says horde only.

2) Is this Aldor only? Or ok for scryers too?

u need a tank for the spawn, and therefor a healer. but thats just for that spawn. on socrethar all u need is dps, the npc will tank, and she does it good. she heals and all. my grp that was me hunter, 1 warrior, 1 shaman (healing) and 1 rogue did this without any problems, except the mage dcing ^^

Tried this morning, about one hour of spamming for groups and no replies I thought, "what the hell, might as well try". Ported, 3 NPC's there to help, kinda like an escort quest...three mobs spawned (one at a time)....easy kills. Got to the platform.....Kayleen came, he got some nice buffs from Soc.....MS to pet after the 3 NPC's started on Kayleen (about 30 seconds into fight thinking this might buy some time before NPC's start dying).....dammit...got Kayleen to 15% health and then the bastard had to heal himself to 100%....wipe......Good news though u rez back to your body at that bubble sanctuary place.

Had a mixed group of people doing two different quests to kill same boss - First time we killed him I did not get credit for kill - he respawned and we killed him a second time and received kill credit that time... Just something to be aware of

Tried last night - still bugged, 1st part goes ok (the smaller guy), then it gets stuck when he goes back to bigger one. Bloody pain as we had a good group waiting :(

The thing to remember with this quest is that if you fail you have to teleport to the mainland and back to get the NPC's again. Also you need to make sure and let NPC's do their thing first it will help you out in the long run. We did this no problem with 3 locks, 1 pally and a warrior. Locks enslaved two of the big girls and let them beat on him.

For anyone trying to do this in 2021 - TBC classic - BUT the RP is broken

Here's how we completed the quest.

1) If the friendly NPCs are bugged at his feet and the RP has stopped

a) Hit 2 mobs from around the arena and run under the boss
b) This will drag both mobs through the NPC group pulling them under Socrethar, this will aggro the boss to the NPCs.
c) The NPCs will eventually die, but now Socrethar is now attackable.
d) You need a tank to initially gain as much threat as he can, and just kite him, he is stunnable by all CC, so have a rogue stun his shadowbolt volley
c) Just 5 man him down, with the tank kiting him back towards the portal.

2) There are no NPCs and hes bugged in RP loop.

a) Use the teleporter item on the legion portal (not on the island the one to get you up)
b) This will spawn the NPCs when you arrive on his isalnd
c) Do 1a-c

Both layers on EU Mirage Raceway are bugged. We tried killing npcs but it didn't help as the 2nd enemy doesn't despawn

This quest is bugged as of 12th June 2021 (on TBC Classic). When our group arrived there, there were 2 of the Aldor draenei just standing there, with Socrethar unattackable, and Kaylaan knelt down, also unattackable. We didn't know what to do, but we tried to pull mobs on top of them to try make them do something, that didn't work.

We then tried to kill off our Aldor NPCs to hopefully restart the event, that also didn't work, we pulled mobs onto the Aldor NPCs in great numbers, not attacking, so that they could die and then reset. This didn't work, even though our Aldor NPCs respawned, the RP was still bugged, and the demons were unattackable.

Ultimately the way we managed to do this quest was by having a kind soul invite me to a different layer on our server, where Socrethar was attackable, with no NPCs, and then making me lead, him leaving the group before then inviting my party to the new layer, where we killed him without any of the RP, which still allowed the quest to complete.

If all the layers on your server are bugged out, then I think the only way you can do it is by the server resetting on Tues/Weds, or until they hotfix it to work again. Good luck!

We did this today (14/06/2021) with the Aldor RP successfully. The area was completely reset with Kaylaan NOT kneeling in front of him before we attempted it which is important because all other prior events with Kaylaan kneeling down defeated meant he was unattackable.

Also confirming that people outside of the group with the tag DID receive credit for the quest when we killed him.

Buggy quest. Attempted it twice, bugged both times in different ways.

First bug we saw the friendly NPCs, said we're ready, they walked and RP happened. Then nothing.

Second bug/attempt with a different group a couple of hours later. Friendly NPC was already on the platform, couldn't interact with him or kill the enemy mob.

Sent in a bug report. On the Classic forums it seems like this is a common issue.

Turned up today (15/06/2021) to fight him. Everyone arrived by flying mount, no one bothered with the teleporter. He was attackable immediately and we managed to nuke him down without a healer. 1 Druid tank, 2 Warlocks, 2 Hunters. No RP event in sight.

Worked fine today, NPC's were stationed at the teleport and could be interacted with.
RP event played out and we got the kill.

For aldor you need friendly+ to get the quest... simply turn in marks. you will get a quest called "Assist Exarch Orelis" finish that quest line and you will be on your way to your gear.

Poor information so TLDR:

First NPC you fight you only get bad NPCs that can't tank, hes easy if you can stun his heal etc. 100k hp.

2nd NPC is harder, but you get a strong tank NPC. So burn the boss down before it gets to bad.

Not soloable I figure without weird tactics or something?
