we easily 3 manned the guy that drops this w/ a mage (me), hunter and lock.
dunno how often he spawns though, i had never seen him before.

Solo'd this as a level 70 BM hunter,with talents into armour for pet, and pet skills into armour,so my pet had 14k armour,i used my boar reason being is that they gain around 4-5k agro from a charge and have armour bonus,he got hit for 500-650 damage each time,but mend is 475 a tick i think,anyways,yes im full epic so prob not soloable without great gear,and my pet had 500 hp left when this guy died.

soloed as a protection paladin with normal dungeon-level gear. had to bubble and lay on hands.

The spawn has a very long respawn timer. I waited more than 30mins (probably close to 50 mins).
As you damage the spawn, it grows in size and starts to hit very hard.

I was able to solo this on my holy priest, to which I started with all my dots and smiting with renew always on me.
It eventually got to the point where I needed to just let shadow word pain do its job and mainly heal myself.
This can be solo'd as a holy priest; wasn't easy, but definitely not impossible.

Met a friendly Girlyman who told me that the spawn relies on as many void blobs suiciding in the pool as frequently as possible. Thanks for the help Girlyman!

This has GOT to be bugged... flew around force spawning voids here for 2 hours and still no spawn on the elite.

The ooze spawns after a certain number of Void Waste make their way to where the elite spawns, and then die - or possibly percentage based, like 1% chance of suiciding ooze will spawn the elite. You can increase the number of oozes that suicide by being in a group and spreading out so everyone can see as much of the streams as possible. Put one person at the edge where the transponder is, which is the far end of the stream. Put another person in the middle who can actually see the oozes suicide. Place a 3rd person south side where the vertical rings are. This gives total coverage of all the streams and maximizes the number of oozes that spawn and make it to the elite spawn. With 3 people, the ooze spawns within 5-10 minutes. Merely flying by ever few minutes WON'T help - if no player is in view of the little ooze suicided, the server will not create the ooze objects and there will be no spawn.

Here's what happens. Someone near transponder will be in view of ooze spawn at north side, that ooze will travel towards elite spawn area, ooze will then pass out of sight of that player and then be in sight of the person in view of the elite spawn area. Without the person at the transponder, NO OOZE WILL SPAWN

If you are solo, the best place to wait is 55.3, 42.3 as it will give maximum view of all the pools. Also have your graphics enabled to see objects in far distance.

The spawn is NOT time based, it is based on the number of oozes that can be seen suiciding at the elite spawn area.

A hint is given in the quest, Electro-Shock Goodness: "I hope it's not too late. Did you notice any abnormally large slimes at or near the area where the void wastes drain into?"

Doing the quest Electro-Shock Goodness does not help spawn the elite ooze.
