The Cipher of Damnation is an extremely long quest line in Shadowmoon Valley. It is a prerequisite for attunement to The Eye in Tempest Keep and Mount Hyjal in Caverns of time.

At this point, the quests diverge into three separate lines (which can be done in any order) for each of Oronok's three sons who will in turn help you obtain the three Fragments of Damnation.

After completing the quests for the three Fragments of Damnation, the lines converge and you need to kill one last boss.

After completing the quest, you will get a message in the mail from Khadgar. If you go to Shattrath, he will tell you to talk to A'Dal, who unlocks the the three Trials. These are prerequisites for attunement to The Eye in Tempest Keep and Mount Hyjal in Caverns of time.

For real laughs, call all your friends in to meet ya when ya turn in the egg. Its worth it. Affects all players in area, regardless of faction.

I love this! it made me so laughed cause I gave a draenei npc the rotten egg, and then he ate the egg. all NPC,Horde/Alliance players in the area beggin to puke. rofl awesome quest!

In order to start this quest chain you first need to complete the chain starting with Enraged Spirits of Fire and Earth.

Then it will lead you to a quest to meet Oronok Torn-Heart, and you must finish the quest chain starting with Oronok Torn-Heart. Note: He is not in the Coilskar Cistern, he is above it.

This will lead you to a quest to meet his son, Borak and you must do the quest to get a rotten egg that starts with Borak, Son of Oronak

Once you've done this quest and gotten the rotten egg you will be sent to Shattrath to turn the rotten egg in to Tobias the Filth Gorger, who will then give you the Bundle of Bloodthistle quest that starts this chain.
