As you go down the ramp towards the caves, take the first one to your right. Kill mobs in here until you get the displacer, then go outside and head to the next cave. Kill the summoners in there and follow the rest of the quest

When you go into second cave down to the right there should be 4 summoners and a named nonelite. This is a farm spot for mark of sargeras so first time down someone had killed just kill the summomers and the named then a spawn. Was quite confused for a bit.

This quest can be easy if you can stealth and fly. Once you have the Elemental Displacer, fly down to the southern cave entrance at 40.4, 39.5. Stealth in, to the right, and down. It's a bit tricky but you can sneak all the way down to the green summoning pool without aggroing any mobs.

Go to the back of the pool, unstealth where you're out of aggro range, and use your displacer. The first time I did this it didn't quite work; it summoned an elemental but then nothing happened. So I killed the named summoner closest to the pool, resummoned, and the elemental then killed the other summoners standing around. Then I killed the elemental and quest complete.

I'm not sure if it was just the day when I tried but....

When I was there, the spawn rate in the cave was INSANE. I was clearing mobs pretty quickly but the respawns were right behind me. I often had to burn a bunch of cooldowns (on my mage) just to handle all the mobs that suddenly spawned right on top of me (usually when low on mana, of course).

Has anyone else noticed a high spawn rate in those caves?

If you go in the first cave - then fight your way to the other side of the bridge - you can go out on this ledge overlooking the summoners (on the right side) -- just use the displacer there, then you need to kill the summoned elemental. I think you could just ranged attack the elemental and complete the quest, however I didn't think of that, so I jumped down. (I made it alot harder than it had to be). Could someone please confirm if that works?

All of the information posted so far is true but just to clear up one thing about the respawn rate...

When you get to the bottom of the summoning chamber, there are 3 normal summoners with relatively low health which are easy to dispatch, then there is the named Summoner Skartax who will continually summon the Infernal Souls which walk up out of the green water, around the corner and are joined by two of the Deathforge Tinkerer's (they spawn just as the infernal spawns.) The group of three will start patrolling around. The spawn rate for this seems to be around 3-5 minutes, I had the same problem on my mage where I would rest after killing the initial guards/patrol, then this mob of 3 would keep reappearing after dispatching them and I had finished resting.

I suggest killing the patrol as quickly as possible (don't rest even if you have to) and moving down and standing behind the summoners in the chamber (there is a small amount of space there.) After that take down the rest of them. Once you kill Summoner Skartax the Infernal Oversoul will spawn which you need to kill to complete the quest, it was no issue as a frost mage.

As for the disrupting from the ledge trick I'm not sure, I think clearing down to the bottom is the best solution. The summoners seemed to be on a ~5 minute cooldown too, so it would make a good farming spot seeming as they are relatively weak.

i can agree about the respawn rate. i'd kill one guardian, then move onto another and by the time i'd downed the second, the first one had appeared again !

rest of it was pretty easy, did the whole quest and only died once.

Go across the brigde, and turn right just before the doorway.. Theres a ledge, and you can stand on the legde and use the rod. The non-elite will kill all the summoners, and you just kill him. He's easy as a lvl 69 warrior. Before i did this, i made Wildhammer Stronghold my home, and i just HS'ed out of there. Else the fight out of there is INSANE. Good luck

If anyone is having a hard time acquiring the elemental displacer here's a trick: kill the summoners around Skartax...then wait for the elemental to appear quickly pull the Deathforge Tinkerer's as you see them on the ramp fight them near a section were there's an ore deposit against the corner wall that way if a summoner spawns again you won't agro them. Of course avoid the bombs on the ground...I got the displacer that way and completed the quest after using the displacer and killing the last summoned elemental.

The Ledge Trick works great. As a Paly .. i used the displacer at the ledge. This killed everyone except the main bad guy, 69 non elite. The I bubbled and jumped down, and easily killed him and hearthed out.

this is how I got the displacer

since you are going to need the backpack anyway (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10583), just rush to place where the backpack is, die there and ressurect in the corner. Kill the mob guarding his corpse (use a healing pot if needed) and after he is dead drink/eat to regain health and mana. Now kill the two guards at the exit. Now you can safely pull two fast running tinkers. When you got the displacer the easiest way to get out is use your hearthstone (if it's on cooldown you can just die and spirit rez). After that, getting to the ledge is much easier. Wait just outside the first entrance till the fire elemental patrol passed, then go in and kill mobs till you reached the end of the bridge; there jump down.

you enter the deathforge via entrance at 40,38 - it should lead u to a bridge, and i got the elemental displacer off of one of the mobs inside the room.

After you get that, you go backtrack to the bridge, and to the left, on the bottom, you will see a summoning ritual. Be careful here - the deathforge tinkerers that block your path respawn immediately upon death. I am a rogue so I snuck past them. Then, after killing some mobs, proceed to use your elemental displacer on Summoner Skartax, who is the main summoner. Do not kill him using traditional ways - you have to use the displacer. After using it, the elementals will come at you, and you don't have to kill them, but they do aggro you.

you backtrack to the bridge... go left STRAIGHT at the beginning of the bridge, manouver to a ledge and kill the summoner from there. The infernal will appear and kill all the sumoners :P
If your ranged, you can even kill the siummoner there and get back on the bridge and out without breaking a sweat

You need to find a summoner called "Skartax", he is standing near a lava pool and has 3 summoners near him ( which called be pulled one by one).

the lava pool has a summoning ritual going on and undermap map reference is about 37,38. you enter from the farthest away tunnel at about 40,40

When you use the Elemental Dispenser near him , an inferno will appear and attack you , once you kill the inferno the Quest completes.

I know it's not very clear from the quest description, but...

step one - enter upper Deathforge at 40,38

Kill tinkers and smiths until the displacer drops, then go back outside

Go down the ramp and re-enter at 40,39

go down to your right, kill the 3 summoners, then use the displacer

The summoning dude dies and a fire elemental spawns (non-elite). Kill it and you're done

Did this as a 70 Shaman.

Description was dead on once I recognized exactly what I was looking for.

With Earthshock, the summoners were easy.

Of course I had some epics and my flier by this time so it may have made a difference, but I didn't even have to use my elementals to do this one

the 2nd part of this quest is so easy, when you enter the cave at 40,39 you can either kill the guardsor keep running if you want, but run to the right and jump down into the green water (i just ran through cause they loose their aggro after a while) then just follow the water and you will be right in the middle of the summoning hole, use the dispencer in the middle and the infernal will come and aggro- kill it and your done, then Hs out, or w/e you want to do

I tried explanations above a couple of times since its easy as a drood (70). Everyone explained fits on what is seen inside. However quest is bugged. Dont waist time on it.

This quest is BARELY soloable....The mobs are so tightly packed and very strong...I would suggest doing this with a friend. HIGHLY!

I don't care what he dropped, what lvl you solo'd it at, or what your personal damn feelings on the quest where....the only info I want is Location(co-ords would be nice) and any strat that would be helpful. Anything else is a waste of mine and everyone elses time

Ok, some updates for this quest, and a little clarification.

The 'summoning chamber' is a big pool of green water. I didn't recognize it at first, because I'm on a very busy server and it was empty. There will be a named Summoner in the room. Use the item on him. You need to be sorta close to him to use it. Not right on top of him, but not at my normal mage range, either.

The spawns in the room did not, for me, respawn instantly. I was in there quite a while before they respawned, too, so they might have tinkered with it.

There's a pat of two tinks and a flame thingie that come out of here, so be careful. They're soloable, but it's still a vaguely tough fight.

Once the Summoner is down, kill the big infernal and you're done!

Unless you're a rogue: corpse hop your away around all these Deathforge quests with no gear on.

Any other method will waste MORE time than corpse hopping and infuriate you in minutes. :D

In order for the Shadow Council to construct infernals as quickly as they're being used, they must have an area dedicated to summoning the corrupted elementals that serve as the souls of the creatures.

The summoning chamber is likely to be found below ground, near a pool of fouled water or lava. Locate the summoning chamber within the Deathforge and find a way to end their summoning ritual. The mo'arg involved in making the infernals may carry a tool that will help disrupt the summoner's magics.
