68, 52 - go in via flying mount. I do know that they have an aggro radious of HELL! The large group of mobs in the back will ALL bumrush you if you just pull one...

The supplicants cast evasion on themselves at about 20% health, so they are very tough for a melee to kill past that point. The initiates are squishy and can be easily killed.

Everything in the area seems to be able to see through stealth.

As a feral druid, I simply cast Faerie Fire (Feral) on one Supplicant in a pair.

Once they reach 49% they will cease their duel and aggro you.

Extremely easy to kill them after that.

If you have any sort of ability that puts you on their aggro list but doesn't do (enough) damage to aggro them off their sparring partner, cast it on them and just wait for their duel to finish.

When one of the pair is low on HP and uses Evasion ("Demon Hunter Supplicant begins intensely dodging incoming attacks"), just switch to the other one. Once that one Evades, the buff should have worn off on the first one.

go to a big stair 68,50 turn left. Kill the mobs you see and fight the way to the other stair(right side 71,49) Beware of the big elite in the corner Theras elitelvl70. When you go up to the stairs go left and kill some mobs you see. After that most mobs have respawn and fight the way back you started. This will be enough to complete your quest. Mobs are aint that hard. Solo as a lvl70 prot pally easy.

Locks put Recklessness on one of them, theyll aggro when they stop fighting instead of regenerating health.

After all the above comments, if you still didn't figured out how to do this quest, I will give some advices for those melee classes. I'm a 70 rogue currently with some Kara gear, epic weapons and top-blue. And still after each pull I have like half of my life cut (full is 8.1k unbuffed).

So, this quest might be of some difficult for those starting at 70 or not even a 70 yet. That's it:

Start from the stairs and go pulling each 2 duelists. Wait until they get like 60% health and give him a ranged weapon shot. Then run farther you can and wait until they aggro you. I'm saying that because I got sometimes surprised by another 2 adds coming to me when the first 2 are about to die. I don't know if it's a bug but they don't call for help, just seems to aggro randomly by a incredible distance.

Besides that, as said above, they pop evasion when in low life (about 20% or less). Try to stun as fast as you can, before they start to infinite dodge, or simple swap targets. And remeber... get the more far away from the other groups you can and the named elite, else you're pretty sure dead meat.

Repeat this steps and you're done. (For me the drop rate was something like 25-30%. So have patience).

lvl 70 hunter. if have flying mount--fly to steps near where varedis is(roughly 71.7, 53). was able to pull one at a time--one guy walks up and down stairs--stay on rocks outside and pull him--kill him, then one at a time at top of stairs--go up on platform and just pick them off. pretty easy--got all glaives within 12 kills.
ps. if you don't have flying mount--uh, do what the others say..lol

These have a major aggro range compared to their level.

The droprate is okay..

A great place to AoE farm as a mage to. Just watch out for that god damn elite.

As a 70 frost mage this was very simple:

I started at 69,51 - on the area just before the main training platform where there are lots of mobs fighting. The Supplicants here are packed together, but as a frost mage this is ideal. I used my elemental to keep them busy and nova them, whilst I pelted with Blizzard.. rinse, repeat. With Ice Barrier up I was luck if they got a hit in at all, and I could take 4 mobs at once with this method. I have Frostbite maxed out so it was effective in rooting them for most of the fight.

The supplicants DO drop the glaives as well as Netherweave Cloth and sometimes a Sunfury Signet. Since the Initiates aren't as plentiful as the Supplicants in this spot, I was quite happy to farm this area for 10-15mins until I had all 8 Glaives - as well as looting a nice collection of Netherweave :)

PS: As mentioned, watch out for the patrolling 70 elite. I just mounted up and flew up when he came close.

i killed over 30 ppl thinking i wask illin the right guys..i wasnt..make sure u kill the DEMON HUNTER BLOOD ELVES. not just blood elves..the demon hunters. also a nice tip, watch out for the elite guard and if u can, do it with a friend cuz they in mobs of 2 (sometimes u pull more than one mob) and they spawn fast

This is the start of the Aldor version of the Book of Fel Names chain. As well as reputation with your chosen faction, if you complete it you can choose from:
Ceremonial Kris (+heal dagger)
Slayer's Axe (2H +str axe)
Sunfury Legguards (+AP mail pants)
Hauberk of Karabor (+AP leather chest)
Summoner's Blade (+dmg sword)
Wildcaller (feral staff)

As with the Medallion of Karabor line, this chain starts different depending on whether you're Aldor (A) or Scryer (S). All the quests are rated level 70 - though the chain is available at level 68, it sends you to the Shadow Labyrinth to kill Blackheart, which you might want to hold off on until level 70.

Aldors pick it up from Exarch Onaala at the Altar of Sha'tar:
1. (A) Karabor Training Grounds
2. (A) A Necessary Distraction
3. (A) Altruis

Scryers need to visit Larissa Sunstrike at the Sanctum of the Stars:
1. (S) Karabor Training Grounds
2. (S) A Necessary Distraction
3. (S) Altruis

Here the chains converge on your old friend Altruis the Sufferer in Nagrand. He gives out three quests that need to be completed (in any order) before you can continue:
4a. Against the Legion - Netherstorm
4b. Against the Illidari - Shadowmoon Valley
4c. Against All Odds - Zangarmarsh
Having gone around the world killing stuff, you can now return to Altruis and receive:
5. Illidan's Pupil
which leads directly into
6. The Book of Fel Names

Now it's time for a venture into the Shadow Labyrinth to kill Blackheart! Once that's done that and his body has been looted for the book, it's back to Altruis where again the chains diverge depending on your allegiance.

Aldor:
7. (A) Return to the Aldor - back to Altar of Sha'tar
8. (A) Varedis Must Be Stopped

Scryer:
7. (S) Return to the Scryers - back to Sanctum of Stars
8. (S) Varedis Must Be Stopped

Varedis Must Be Stopped is the final part. It's a 5-man group quest that sends you to the terrace outside the Black Temple to kill four elites: Varedis, Netharel, Theras and Alandien. Look them up for co-ordinates and tips on killing them - they're pretty straightforward, really.

When they're dead it's a simple matter of returning to the questgiver to choose a prize.

I agree that 68.52 is realy good spot to grind quest items....i just wanna make note for classes that kill with dots (warlocks and shadow priests) , u ppl can dot them on any % while they are fighting each other and when they come on 49% they will start runing to you...so thats the time when they will die in next 3-5sec from your dots....as shadow priest i did 8mobs pull...dotted and wait them to die....
There is screen shot how training ground on 68.52 looks...

P.S Whatch on 70 elite guy , Netharel , he comes to training ground from time to time.

as a prot pally i was able to take the whole platform at once just waited for netharel to leave before i did it. they dont hit hard if at all fairly easy quest.

kinda low drop rate, for sum reason i got all of mine from the hunter's, i didnt mind the drop rate as i got so much scryer rep so it didnt make it to painfull

I found the initiates to have a better drop rate than the supplicants in addition to being easier.

Warriors, I'd recommend you use battle stance for the supplicants regardless of what your build is, . If you're fury, hit sweeping strikes and just spam cleave (remember that sweeping strikes procs on each mob when you use it with cleave, giving you two hits on each of them). When one of them them pops their evasion, use overpower. IMO this is the best way to get one of them down quickly, as opposed to switching to the other guy while the first one's evasion runs out which means you take a lot more damage.

If you don't have any trouble with the mobs, this is also a great place to farm netherweave.

I am doing this, if you are 70 and get the Fly Gryphon,
then it's not that hard. You can directly fly & land at
70.49, up of the stairs, there's a Corner, it's a Safe spot.
If not, you need to clear a Blood way.
BTW, the drop rates suck.

i just abandoned this quest because i. the drop rate is stupid
ii. i just got some curse that kills me every time i res ( 3 times now )
iii. ran along and combat turned on, couldnt see anything, got hit 2000, 2000 and such, died again. (70, 47 ish)

70 Warrior protection spec'd, using gun to pull. Need a flying mount - fly to 71,54, a corner of the landing at the top of the stairs, tucked in behind some crates and such.

7 initiate guards are now in easy range to pull, 3 on the stairs right by you, 2 other sets of 2 each to the right. Shoot or just aggro the nearest on the stairs, run back to the the corner. Easy kills solo or doubled if you draw a second. Get the three on the stairs, then get the next two on the right, then pull the two just inside the doorway on the right.

Always run back to the corner to perform the kills - no patrols go there.

Drop rate wasn't spectacular, but wasn't awful. I cycled through these 7 initiates probably 7 or 8 times before I got the 8 drops. Between coin, signets and tomes, and one green neck drop, not bad. Got bored at the end waiting for respawns and drew a pair farther away, ended up with 3 to deal with. No deaths, no problem. Good luck!

took about 10 mins. kill the suplicants, theyre the guys fighting eachother. sometimes if u aggro 1 mob of em another will come to help them, other times not. so be prepared to fight up to 4 guys at once.

I found it easier to kill the Demon Hunter Initiates that are fightingSpellbound terrorguards around 69,48 but here's the trick, instead of attacking them while they're in combat and their health is lower as it would seem logical, wait until they're out of combat and attack the Sunfury Summoner from behind. If the initiate is out of combat he won't attack you and the demon will despawn as soon as the summoner breaks chanelling. This way you fight one mob at a time. Be careful of the pat (Initiate) that walks along the ledge behind the summonners. when you're done with these three groups proceed east towards the stairs to pull a few single initiates.

68,52 around one of the elite demon hunters for that other quest. Easy pulls as you can get them in groups of 2. Got my Glaives after 17 kills. Just watch out for Netharel as he pats the area some. I only had to move out of the way once so i just took a second to heal up some.

Cords are wrong, there are probably other sunfurys we are suppose to kill. I've wiped out the camp and not one has dropped. Eitehr that or the quest is bugged.

I found the best drop rate for the glaves...
there is a specific training group at 68, 53.

I killed these suckers for ever and not a one dropped...

I went there out a frustration, not caring about adds, and they dropped, one out of every two for me from these...

Its looks like a training court yard, and you do have to becareful about adds.

I was able to pull 2 at a time with CoW, and couple times got 4, but was able to handle em as a 70 Warlock.

Also, have to becareful, there are two wandering 70th lvl elites, but they are easily avoided.

I don't know why ppl are complaining about the drop rate here. Either it has been changed or I was extremely lucky. In total I needed only 23 kills to get the 8 glaives.

I flew into 68,51 and was able to pull 2 at a time - drop rate of 29% on the glaives, 1 x arcane tome and numerous sunfury signets. Just watch out for the patrolling elite - easy to avoid him. All up about 15 mins.

I found that if you hit them when their health is below 75%, you will not get any drops from them.
Try and get them just as they start sparring and the drop rate is better... but not great. ;)

Flew to 72, 52. I was able to sap one of the guys in a group of 2. Others are single pats or a caster and a demon. They have around 5500 hp and the casters have little to no armor. The melee do very little damage. The drop rate is kind of poor, but you do get sunfury signets in addition to the quest, which is either extra gold or rep for you.

72,52 is damn close, I was killing for a good 2 hours, got 2 drops, was working my way up the temple, and when I got to 71,53, the drops were almost 50%. Got 2 off the first 2 guys I killed up there, none off 3rd guy, then 1 off next one, the drops skyrocketed. Don't know if this is same for everyone else, but top of the temple seems best place.

I was getting most of mine off the Demon Hunter Supplicant, not the Demon Hunter Initiates. Pretty easy if you get the two guys at a time that are fighting. Waiting until they are at about 75% hp and take them down fast. haha

Going near the ones that are in combat will break your stealth and aggro the whole mess of them. Just found out the hard way :(

Our scouts have reported a massive influx of Sunfury blood elf recruits heading to the Ruins of Karabor. Normally this would represent a purely military threat, however we believe something else is amiss.
