ok quest is not that badrun all the way up the hill it's at 23 36 little hard to see. The guys drop good loot and they are easy. I liked this quest... you also pickup a illidari bane shard which starts another quest and does increased damage and attack power... ap by 45 spell damage by 185 to demons as a quest item to use. Not bad overall and a little of a pain like allforcarrie said if you die. Never got feared once either... hmmm... good quest. not sure how the heck you do this without dying...

Easy for a 70. I mounted to the left mob/cannon, killed it and used the box.

Ok, the trick to this quest is to do as little as possible. The mobs have short aggro range so you can actually bypass a lot of them. They also have low health so they are easy to kill. The different mobs do however have some nasty abilities, like fear and a steady ticking fire blast. All easily avoided if you kill them quickly.

If you're on foot, you have to take the ramp up. The communication device is on a big platform in the center of the camp, flanked by two great walls. Inside there's 4 guards and 2 cannons. There's also a big mammoth of a demon, an elite, but he patrols in a counter clockwise path so you can wait for him to move and then go to action. You only need to kill 2 guards and a cannon on one side to get to the device. Run to the device and use the box while standing on the ledge. (best view) Observe, and jump down afterwards. Easy peasy, tbh.

Easily solo'able as a 67 rogue, stealth all the way up there, kill the 2 guards on each side, pop your box, and your good.

I really cant see why you guys are complaining...Just wait for the elite to go in the field, kill the guards, and thats it.. Just gotta find the area, but thats easy..

Make your way up to the top of legion hold, and then turn around into the balcony (easy to find, its on your right as you reach the top courtyard). only mobs are level 67-68 demons that go down easily. Dodge the big elite dragon guard (Magtherizad or something similar). Once you cleared the balcony - which is again, easy - right click the box and wait until its duration is over. Once the quest is complete you can jump off the balcony with minimal fall damage.

As stated already, the coords are 23, 36 and if you have a flying mount, this quest is very easy.

Fly up to the balcony the communicator is located on (the communicator has a small pink glowing infernal on top of it, so keep an eye out for that) and glide down so you're just hovering above the ground (as close to the communicator as possible). Then dismount and click on the box to use it. As soon as the disguise wears off, mount up and fly off.

This quest chain is quite amusing; seems to pay homage to other games, like Metal Gear Solid (it's just a box) and Zero Wing (Setting Up The Bomb).

However, the quests themselves are a pain. Legion Hold is extremely hard to break into if you aren't a stealth class. Clothies beware.

Just flew to the edge, clicked on the disguise and completed the quest. No fighting involved at all.

its easy all right. 67 shadow priest should have no problem. besides from the allies. but i ganked a 70 hunter and druid up there.

when u enter the camp, head all the way up the left path, closest to the lake right next to legion hold. all the way up to the 3rd lvl of the camp. flip some what of a u'ey to the right and there should be 2 guards and cannons right behind them, close to the edge of the platform their standing on. stick to the right and u wont grab agro. the communication divice is like a little hologram of a guy, their leader. kill the guy on the right and his cannon. " for me i dotted the cannon first cuz it will mess with u". then just click ur box from like 5 feet away from the hologram and it will start the cinimatics. of a big red non leet lvl 69 walking up and talking to the hologram. then he walks away and ur unharmed. quest completed. jump down to avoid the walk around, and hightail it back to base..

As a 69 druid, I just used my flight form to fly to the coords where the communication device was and landed on the edge. I didn't aggro anything. I popped my box, waited, and flew away. In and out, easy peasy.

It is definitely possible to complete this quest without dying and still not having a flying mount. I managed without much problems as a prot pally at 68, by just taking on one mob at a time and making sure that Makazradon (the elite mob) isn't around while I'm hacking around to get to the communication station.

That said, the Terrormasters can cause problems as they can fear you into running into some of the mobs around (including Makazradon). It is vital you are in control of the situation at any given time and stun the Terrormasters and kill them off before you are feared.

I nearly did die when I was feared and ran into Makazradon (who wasn't pleased to see me). Somehow I managed to stun the Terrormaster, run for my life and get out with 1 HP left =D, as the elite mob won't chase you that far.

PS: I'd strongly recommend you to kill Overseer Ripsaw who is in this area (a non-elite) to get the Illidari-Bane Shard that leads to a quest.

I just did this WITHOUT flying mount and it was PRETTY easy :)
Its a very easy quest with good exp reward, but since im lvl 67 i prefer do Netherstorm first :)

confirmed 23,36 is proper cords. follow the path all the way around. was easy as hunter to run in without pet using FD and traps.

This is really the most worse quest I ever did. You cant walk free cause of the elite, and the wrathmasters hit 50% of your hp :S. Furthermore the warlocks there are frigging bugged.

stay to the right, the locks have a decent aggro range and theres sometimes a 68 elite around the locks. If you get fearded your screwed

23, 36 The communicator has an image of a purple infernal above it and has terrormasters on either side. I did this at lvl 70 with flying mount. I flew right up to it, set down, activated my crate, waited for them to talk, then it completed and I flew off for turn in. Very easy.

Go along the blue path on the minimap, and sneak past the warlocks to the 2 fel cannons overlooking the valley. Stay on the right side, then walk up to the object with the purple icon above it and use your crate. Easy as pie.

Anyways, my problem is that I am standing next to the Legion Communication Device already transformed into a box and nothing happens. I tried to abandon and retake the quest over and over again, but no positive results. Do you have any ideas on how to complete this quest? (Discover Legion's Plans required)

Ok, this is the easiest quest. All you gotta to do ride up to the spot and slowly approach the ledge. Once you get low enough, you will be forced to land. In the spot you are, activate the box. Once its done, fly off. Easy as pie. I did it without any aggro

You can basically ride between mobs til you get to the top, then clear mobs against wall at top of the ramp, use box within about 5 yards of purple communicator.

dismount set up the box and see the talk.

only prob i had was a nelf hunt killed me while they were talking, but it didnt matter. i just waited when they finished the talk. , even when dead i could finish the quest.

Took me awhile to realize that seeking coordinates can sometimes backfire and add to the "where is it" confusion. Especially when different altitudes reside in the same general coordinate location. In this quest, 23.36 is also a location on a lower plateau. And I gotta admit I was knocking my head against the wall for a little while before I realized that.

As folks have said, go to the top of the hill.
The rising road to the right just hits a wall. The one to the left hits a courtyard with the device terrace immediately south of the courtyard.

Really good grinding spot actually. Especially the warlocks at the top. They fall mighty quickly. XP piles up as rapidly as any other generally safe grinding spot in the game that I have encountered (which leaves out a whole lot of places though).

PS as a Tauren, managing to fit in that little box is gonna make my joints sore for a month <G> Thought the little bit of dialogue at the end of the overheard conversation was very funny

Ok, so you go up the path into Legion Hold, (you'll have to clear some guys as you go, fairly easy, just don't back into others and watch for the few that patrol), go all the way to the top, you'll see the Legion Army in front of you, go right (path goes that way-watch for the lv 69 Elite that patrols through), there will be a balcony with some Wrathwalkers and 2 fel cannons, clear it, stand next to the thing that looks like it has a holograph (pinkish) above it, get in box, listen, done. Leave the same way you came.

The coords ARE 23,36, however, this is ON the balcony, so people who don't know will be standing right under the spot thinkin 'What the hell is wrong with these people? There's nothing here...'

The fortress of Legion Hold is your target. You'll have no reinforcements, so a frontal attack is out of the question.

What little information we have shows that the Legion stocks and prepares its infernals at the hold. With the help of a disguise I'll give you, you must sneak into Legion Hold and discover their plans.

Your best hope is to intercept or overhear communication between their commanders.
