Had to Prep Evasion. Makazradon can be blinded so you can bandage, the other cannot.

Solo'd as a 70 full holy paladin. Be sure to clear the area around them as you will need room to move out from underneath the rain of fire repeatedly and adds mean a failed attempt. I put on the parts of my tanking gear that did not lose me int and kept the rest of my solo gear on, judged wisdom, and had a fairly lengthy but easy fight. Both demons are stunnable for those times when you need to drop a heal. Make sure you have fire resist aura on, the magic damage boosting debuff he does plus rain of fire will kill you quick if you are too slow to move.

Edit: Both elites have about 20-25k hp, and don't take too long clearing as respawn times are fast, especially for the named nonelite demoness.

As a 68 warlock I soloed both easily. I accidentally pulled Morgoron while I was at ~20% hp, but he runs slow so I was able to dot him up and run. I just kept renewing dots as I was running. The other one can be feared/banished, so he was easier.

The Illidari-Bane questline is a series of quests that leads to some cool anti-demon weapons. It involves entering many level-70 instances, so you probably want to do the prerequisites before then. David Wayne is also rumored to be Mograine of the Ashbringer.

How do i use the bane shard?

I cant equip it and nothing happens when i click on it (except starting the quest first time you click it)

you can find Makazradon at 22,30
Morgoron at 23,41

he walks around so just fly/run and find them.

Both of these mobs are stunnable, and all forms of Rogue CC appear to work properly. Can be disarmed. CoS for the rain of fires. 70 Rogue soloed quest.

Both demons are easily soloable as a warlock.
What i did was enslave Makazradon as use him to fight Morgoron.
Release Makazradon and kill him ( he is on low hp after the fight)

i pretty much think they are soloable to all ranged :) i ran around my own totems while frost chock and a lighting bolt when i could find time for it ;)
Morgoron i just kited around in all the infernals at his place this guys aren't forst-chock-able so there i used my earth elemental as tank .. they won't touch you and pretty easy kill. Good luck

Lvl 70 BM hunter with average gear (lvl 68 boar pet):

Pulled Makazradon straight down the road, kept mend pet up and started DPSing. When the pet died, freezing trap, rez pet, heal, bandage, and resume. No nasty kiting was required, and after two pet deaths I had him down. You do not have to clear any adds when doing Makazradon since he can be conveniently pulled out of range of any other mobs.

To kill Morgoron, just clear a few adds downhill, then pull him out of the courtyard, tank with pet and DPS down. He does have far less hitpoints than Makaz, so chances are your pet won't even die.

Soloed them easily as a Feral Druid Bear in mediocre lvl70 Blues tanking gear.

Physically they both hit like a wuzz, Makazradon a little harder than Morogron. Had to Bash-Heal twice on Makazradon, the other required no heal. They're both stunnable and interruptable (at least via Feral Charge).

Just make sure to leave their Rains of Fire ASAP, because that one hurts a lot (one reason why I had to heal twice on Maka ;).

And as someone said before: Clear a large enough area beforehand, you need some space to move around to esacpe Rain of Fire and because Morogron has a knockback.

hmmm i just solo this as 70 combat rogue
one thing i notice yes you need to be really fast

i open with cheap shot them some shiv for combo point some posion them stund him back with kidney shot pop some cs like Evasion Adrenalina rush Blade flurry kick rain of fire and just cloack of shadow trough fire dmg pretty simple but you need to be fast...

both are immune to enslaving, mak is immune to fear and banish as well. mor is not immune to banish, didnt try fear.

edit: this was as of 11-23-07, patch 2.3

Can you kite longer than 3 minutes? Then you should be able to kill both, did it as enhancement shaman with healing gear.. I just used Grounding totem to prevent Cripple, and shocked all the way. They run a little slower than you so it's not hard, just avoid mobs by kiting them to the main road.

As of yesterday, both these are immune to Enslaving and Fear as I discovered!

It pays to read comments to the end, especially since Blizzard have changed so much in 2.3 patch

Soloed as a lvl 70 frost mage with 1 epic. Just watch out for the Rain of Fire, and youre good. Didn't even use Cold Snap :)

Morgroron is susceptible to stuns; Makazradon is not.

They're both soloable as a prot tank.

soloed as feral druid on bear form, i kited Morg around the big rock at 24,40 to avoid rain of fire and stomp and he was easy. Makaz is alot easier as u can kite him around the big rock at 23,36 once u r out of HP try to pass between the wall and the rock because Makaz cant go in " too big !" so he will take 360 degree around the wall which buy some time for ye , its just picking a side of the narrow channel and fight him then retreat few yards to the other side for some heal.. repeat and he will die :) just make sure u clear the area from mobs :)

Just soloed this as a 70 Hunter. 41/20/0 spec with a Raptor. Was rather simple. Just set my pet on him and forced the pet to hold aggro until roughly 25% of the pets health. Then drew aggro to myself while pet healed. If you have the health for it, just finish beating whichever one you're fighting down, but if not, simply FD and let your pet tank again.

I did this with both of them with no problem. Remember to kill the trash around him, so they don't aggro and kill you while you're doing this.

If you find yourself in trouble, you can always Freeze trap him for a while, heal your pet, then MD to your pet when he breaks from the trap.

Soloed as an Enhance Shammy. Setup your totems, lightning bolt him, pop Shamanistic Rage and Heroism if it's up and stay out of the fire. The fire hits far harder than he does, even w/o healing he goes down pretty quick.

Soloed as a 67 mutilate rogue. Simply pull one of the big guys and throw-kite him to shadowmoon village. melee him just before entering so you'll be getting loot, pop evasion and cloack of shadows while guards nuke down the mob, then repeat with the other one.

Morgroron:
- Spawns at loc (23, 39) and roams a little.
- 66-69 elite. Not too hard to kill.

Mazakradon:
- Spawns at loc (22, 35) and roams in a large circle. (You may have to look around a bit)

Killed both as feral druid (solo)

Morgroron was really easy. Didn't even bash/cyclone/heal, didn't take enough damage.

Mazakradon was a lot harder. Did more damage and slows you in an aoe damage spell so you have to run back and forth to avoid the damage.

BTW Maz is immune to cyclone and bash, dunno about other forms. Tested both mobs before fighting.

17k hitpoints and 27k armor when I did this just now.

Just soloed as demo specced lock - send in fel, dot and heal pet till he dies - fear, rez pet then send pet again and dot fear till death. You could just dot and fear but have to choose your spot well.

Edit - Mogroron is immune to fear.

Solod them as rogue, Morgroron because of a few lucky dodges at the end (finished the fight with 110 hp, didn't use any pots or anything though).

Quite easy to solo both as 70 BM UNgeared (greens and a few blues) hunter... used misdirection to pet, planted snake trap, pulled with aimed shot then backed up and popped beastial wrath, rapid fire and bladefist's breadth and kept spamming steady shot macro while keeping pet healed. They both dropped quickly with pet still alive.

While fighting Maz I accidentally aggroed a terror fiend or something but that didn't even matter.

Soloed as a 70 Destructinn Lcok, @#%^ing annoying though.

Morgroron: I killed the Terrormaster that's to the west of all those Inferno's and pulled him over there, I let VW tank but he dies so quickly I just sacraficed him, threw out some shadowbolts and banished, whiles he's banished I re-summon VW for the sacrafice shield, when he comes out of banish, sacrafice, 2 shadowbolts, banish, rinse repeat. Sometimes I didn't summon VW because of mana. Used bandage, HS, pot. And the Terrormaster has fast respawn rate, so be careful. Took me a few tries on this guy.
Immune to Fear and Enslave.

Makazradon: ROFL easy, enslave him send him after 4-5 mobs at once, let them die, than release Mak, dot, dot, fear, dead.

The two pit lords at Legion Hold, Makazradon and Morgroron, have already been equipped with these anti-demon weapons. We have no way of knowing how many more the Legion intends to produce, but if we can capture these prototypes, there should be enough for our project.

There's a certain amount of satisfaction in using the Legion's own 'secret weapons' against them, don't you think?
