The easiest, if not only way to do this, is to have a flying mount. You hover above the mob you need, wait for CD's and/or pat to leave, fly down, kill the mobs asap, and then fly up again. I have not found any other successful way of doing this and avoiding the 70 elites.

It's doable for a L70 hunter. Pick Slayers carefully, frost trap, aimed shot, concussive shot, scatter shot and voila. It's as easy as killing a rogue ^^

Be careful with the Darkreavers, sometimes they place a debuff called Earthquake that hits you for 2k every couple of seconds and also stuns you, deadly if you get it when you are half health.

Actually easy if you keep your head up.
Solo'd as a 68 Warrior.
Albiet I died about 4 times completing.
Go up the path killing slayers avoiding dragon elite, then make your way up the stair, and it's pretty much a maze between slayers and leets to get to chosen and weavers.

Have fun with this one.

If you don't have the key for Shattered Halls yet, then make sure you kill the blacksmith (Smith Gorlunk) while you are killing these guys.

He drops the mold that starts the quest chain for the key.

the chosens were giving me trouble, as they're harder to find and have a knockback. The best place I've found to fight themis at 68,38 at the landing of the stairs that go up to the top floor. There are 3 of them there, and only 1 elite pat that goes through. hover overhead, wait for the pat, fly down, kill what you can, then go hover to let the pat through.

Then come on wowhead nad browse while you wait for respawns. stupid quest.

oh and there is 1 eye of kilrogg that goes on that path too, keep an eye out.

Very Very diffucult as a hunter to take out the slayers as posted above, however I found that if you do minimal damage and make sure there is no way in hell you pull aggro from your pet, you can kill then easily, you also have to kill then in the spot they are standing to begin with or else lots of resets and evades

There doesn't appear to be any follow-on to this quest, so unless it's added in a future patch (Black Temple?) might as well skip this unless you want one of the rewards; the rep grain isn't very large.

My felguard caused the Slayers to bug out. Instead of dismissing him, I put him on passive and they didn't bug out after that.

I'm a shadow priest and was able to do this pretty easily...

Up the stairs, all the way to the right, there's one Shadowmoon Darkweaver. I flew over him, dropped down, and killed him in that corner. Neither the wandring eyes, nor the elite mobs detected me there...

Toward the stairs are two Shadowmoon Slayers. They're right next to each other, but pulling one didn't pull the other. So, I took those out... There's a wandering Shadowmoon Chosen that comes pretty close... Drawing all mobs to the corner worked really well.

Getting the rest of the Chosen is a little trickier. I pulled one at a time from the stairs, avoiding the elites, and one-shotting any eyes that I thought might be in the way.

To get the other Darkweaver, I killed two more Slayers on the right, a little further down, and then the darkweaver. I didn't draw agro on the passing elite either.

Rinse, repeat, and you've got the quest complete!

Lame...I did NOT have my pet out, and they still evaded at 40%...very frustrating. I was able to kill the 4 darkweavers needed, but what a waste of time for the rest of it.

As a hunter, I was able to kill the Slayers without evades by placing my pet on "stay" and out of aggro range while I fought.

If you have a flying mount, a good place to start is 72, 39. It's in a corner where you won't draw aggro. If you don't mind being patient, you can start to take down darkweavers, chosens, and slayers, making sure to head back to the corner where you started once the elite starts coming back.

The best way to do this quest is to fly down to 72, 38 and sit in the corner. Kill the Darkweaver to your right, and two Slayers to your front. As the Drakonid paths away, pull Chosen to the corner, or more Slayers as necessary. After about 30 minutes you will complete the quest with no deaths.

Another good location is around 69, 35 - on the landing leading up the steps to the top of the dias. You can drop in the corner against the rock wall and kill the two Chosen on the landing, then the two Chosen at the bottom of the landing, then pull Darkweavers from the surrounding area. We did have one elite Drakonid wander up there, but the two of us (70 holy priest and 70 MM hunter) were able to kill it without much problem.

Confirmed that the Slayers are still buggy and sporadically reset, but we went down to the ramp leading up from the center road (66, 42) and just pulled the Slayers one by one leading up that path. Much easier than killing on the platforms, and no resets there.

If do not have a flying mount, forget about this quest, too many pats and wandering elites...unless you have a good group with you this quest is going to be a a royal pain. If you do have a flyer it's not too bad though, good for some spare coin ~15g after vendoring.

The slayers are pretty easy though, you can get them at the entrance near the elite aldor/scryer troops and no one should have an issue. I found flying to 72,38 and killing the darkweavers/chosen from there (there's 6 chosen around a staircase which is a good start), was a good way.

Also be sure you pop around to the other corner and get Smith Gorlunk.

also, I confirm that 72,38 in the corning of the wall and mountain is a GREAT place to do this quest... took me about 24 mins to complete as a 70 warlock

I've used 69,34 to do the quest and it's not too bad. One elite pat - kill a mob, fly up, wait for him to pass, repeat.

It takes awhile and some CC is good for the slayers if possible.

I did (in June 2007) have one evade in the middle of fighting him - I had him about 30% down (I'm a druid - no pet or trees) and he evaded back to his starting place, but didn't regain health. I was then able to hit him again and kill him after he had returned.

Darkweavers cast shadowbolts and occasionally immolates, slayers have a debuff that decreases melee damage by 75%, debilitating strike, which lasts about 3-5 seconds. Chosens have an uppercut that can knock you off the terrace if you're too close to an edge.

There's a nice small corner at the southern end of the 2nd highest tier (71, 38) where a single Darkweaver spawns. (see screenshot, the spot at the corner of the platform)

Once it's cleared, the elite drakonids do not pat close enough to this spot to aggro and the nearby slayers can be pulled safely, as can the chosens from the stairs just next to it. The bracketed wall can be used to have your back up against to prevent getting knocked around (or off the platform) by the chosens' uppercut.

Goes without saying that this assumes you have a flying mount.

This quest was relatively straight forward (despite evade bugs) once i found a spot where the pathing mobs and elites wouldn't find me:

/tloc 72.4 38.8 (back corner of middle level, against wall to upper level)
/tloc 72.7 40.2 (far side of middle level on edge of wall to lower level)

From these locations it's easy to wait out the roamers, and clean up the local area, alternating from one side to the other.

Just thought that id mention that in the latest patch the bug seems to be fixed to some extent.

As a warlock, only 2 of the pulls, which where slayers evaded, they ran back to their position and when i attacked them again they didnt evade, had my pet out the entire time i did this quest.

I just did this quest as a 70 Hunter (BM Spec). Flew in at 68,34 and landed on top of the Warlock in the corner. Killed him with melee (yuck) and then moved onto the fighting pair to the north of the lock. One glitched and ran back to his spawn, but then I killed him no trouble.
After that killed all the mobs needed within 15 minutes. Very easy, no more glitches and also took out the elite wandering about, not bad :D

Without a doubt an impossible (well, not impossible, but u will kill yourself out of frustration) quest for a warrior to solo.

Mobs patrol, elite mobs patrol, eye's patrol.
Two mobs that are chained, slayers, who will put a debuff on you reducing melee dmg by 75% almost the entire time.
And of course, no where to run when things go wrong...

Very, very frustrating.

To make this quest a little easyer; fly down near all of the "eye of killrogs" and aggro them so you get the "You have been spotted by the Eye of Killrog", then just fly up. The eye will go to the nearest mob and dissapear because your out of combat range for the mob.

This has to be the most ridiculous and ultimately frustrating quest I have ever experienced. Eyes wandering everywhere, elites that cannot be solo'd and slayers in packs of two. The elites below the stairs have erratic patrol patterns too, which makes this quest a royal waste of time. Don't even bother unless you have atleast one other person with you.

The only thing worth coming here for is the mold for the Shattered Halls key.

Solo'd this as a 70 RET paly. After trying some different things, i found 72,40 to be an ideal corner. You can pull all 3 types of villains to this location and kill them in the corner. No pats see you here. (Oh, yes I'm embarrassed to say I'm still pulling guys with Linken's Boomerang and a Six Demon Bag ... but it works).

Didn't find this quest as annoying as others apparently do. If you want to solo this keep in mind the following:

-Use flight form or a flying mount to look for a nice starting spot. Stealth shouldn't be necessary if you find a good spot or two (I think).

-All the single groups (single Darkweavers, Chosen, pairs of Slayers) are very much soloable at level 70. The elites are probably not.

-Darkweavers: They run. Slow them, trap them or kill them quickly.. that and/or kill surrounding mobs first to give a bit of space.

-Chosen: Beware for patrolling Chosen. They are much nastier than Slayers. They have a pushback, so make sure you don't get pushed over a ledge.

-Slayers: Can be pulled solo if you pull ranged (not necessary in most situations and may not be desirable.. because..).

-Respawn rate is fairly high for the time needed, given all the patrols and such. That also means you can just look for a few spots close together and go between those.

-Drakonids/Eyes: Drakonids are probably best avoided. Make sure you learn where they patrol and how long they take. Eyes are much less of an issue as they have low hit points, but best kill them (for me a single starfire does the trick) if you can do so without much trouble.

Died 6 times doing this quest as a 70 feral druid, had a hell of a time.

I developed a strategy for each of the mobs:

Slayers) Pull them one-by-one at the front gate, or Cyclone them, shift into cat form, wait for your energy to build, then take them on. Usually respawns come so you don't have to hunt around for all 8. Of course, watch for the 70 elite. Mangled them up, rake 'em for DoT, and then ferocious bite for a kill. Found out this was much easier than just straight Mangle-Ferocious Bite combo.

Darkweavers) Easy to kill, just fly to a ledge where you see one and make sure they aren't charging a champion at the time. Pounce, mangle, mangle, bite, dead. Keep in mind there are some in corners that sitting and aren't doing anything. If a Champion aggros you, get your back away from the ledge! He'll send you flying over and then you'll aggro elites and slayers below.

Champions) Fly high up to the top of the Terrace where you see the last set of steps. Lots of Champs there, just perch near the mountain and aggro them one by one. You get 6 this way, and you may have gotten 2 from killing Darkweavers. Respawns come fast anyway.

As a BE Prot pally, I was able to pull 4-5 Slayers at a time, then pull Darkweavers seperately, and take 2-3 Champions at a time. I guess the glitchs are gone as no one evaded for me. The elite pats are kind of nasty but manageable if you keep your eyes peeled.

Obviously easier with a flying mount as are most q's but to some extent this works without too, find a corner such as 68.1 36.5, there will be 2 slayers fighting, a darkweaver doing his stuff and a chosen patroling and taking in the corner as part of his patrol. The eyes and the drakonids will not notice you in the corner. Kill the slayers, and the chosen when he comes to you, fitting in a well timed visit to the darkweaver. Repeat as necessary. Couldn't be easier. Don't forget to visit the building over the wall to get Smith Gorlunk at 67.6 36.0 for Primed Key Mold Quest Item for Hellfire Citadel.

I just completed this, and it was damn easy.

I had no problems what-so-ever, just be careful where you pull things. The patrols are easy to dodge =)

This is from a level 70 hunters perspective

This quest is a pain if you do not have a flying mount!

Drop down near the top of the temple (fly low enough not to aggro the flying elite, and high enough not to aggro the casters)

drop down at the top of the steps where the 4 chosen are.

kill them all, single pull, watch for the one elite patrolling.
once they're dead, fly up, go down to the front of the area (ramp going up into the temple)
and kill the slayers to get that part done (watch for the one elite patrolling)
fly up, go find 2 dark weavers in the corners on the purple rune ring, and kill them (watch for the elite pa... you get the idea by now)

then go back to the 4 chosen, they will have respawned by now, kill them.

then over the wall where you killed the chosen, are 2 tents along the mountain side and walls. there are 2 dark casters in there, kill them both, easily took them both on at once.

not one mob bugged.
not one patrol caught me.
did not die once.

easy quest if you just pay attention.

also, kill the smith for the mold.

As a mage this quest is just a waste of time and effort. If you can't find a group to help you with it, just don't bother because it will make you absolutely furious.

A stealth class might have an easier time with this, so if you're a rogue or feral druid, disregard this.

I just soloed this as a 70 shaman, without a flying mount, and it's not as bad as the comments above make out. I don't know if it got nerfed in the 2.4 patch, but I didn't find it any worse than the Sunfury quest on the other side of Black Temple. Besides, this is the vicinity of the Black Temple we're talking about here! Supposed to be really full up with the evil and death and all, so I wouldn't expect anything in it to be easy. Yeah, there's at least a couple of wandering 70 elites, the mobs are touchy and most aggro in pairs - so buck up little camper.

The initial ramp is probably the worst part unless you take the time to pull individuals. Just pull, kill, heal, repeat until you're at the top of the ramp. At that point you've got a super-wide area where you can avoid aggro. Just keep an eye out for the 70 elite and you'll be fine. At this landing you'll see a kind of grotto to the North with a Darkweaver and a couple of Slayers. Clear this area out, and you'll find it's a good place to retreat to as the elite doesn't go in there. Rather than head up the stairs right down the middle, it's best to clear the left side on the way up. Once at the top you'll find three of the Chosen you need to destroy, they can be pulled one at a time. Once clear take on the Slayers fighting at the top of either of the sets of smaller stairs. In this area there are wandering Chosen and a lonely Darkweaver in the corner. If the Chosen is nearby pull him back down the stairs, else take out the Darkweaver first and then wait for the Chosen. Repeat on the other side. At this point you'll be 1 Darkweaver and 3 Chosen away from completion. Go back down the big stairs and kill the first Darkweaver as he has probably respawned. Wait for the 3 Chosen to spawn at the top of the big stairs, and finish the quest.

My total repair bill came to about 2g 45s, but this quest does take a long time, you just have to be patient.

ok as a Holy Priest I found this incredibly easy.......

I DO have a flying mount so was able to perch myself in areas where I could see what was going on however I aggro'd no eyes and none of the patrols went anywhere near me.

If you stand on the small hillock behind Smith Gorlunk and pull/kill him that clears a bit of a killing area.

Use the patrolling Killrog type eyes to single pull the Slayers. You have approximatly 8 in the immediate vicinity which clears that part of the quest. There is a Darkweaver spawn point behind you the respawns 2/3 times by the time you have killed all 8 of the Slayers and the 4th I killed was at 68.63, 40.26 isolated in the corner away from any patrols or Eyes so easy enough to dispatch. Only watch out for this mob is a Chosen occasionaly patrols to him to be 'Nether Infused' but if you get your timing right the Drakweaver will be dead and thats 1/8 Chosen cominng straight into your waiting arms :D (small tip when fighting the Chosen......fight against the wall wedged into the corner.....he wont knock you back then).

Now for the 7 remaining Chosen....

Fly to co'ords 70.34,34.55 which should be a little ledge just before a flight of stairs where you have access to 4 Chosen that can be easily single pulled. If you stay in the corner and avoid the Chosens knockback (by avoid I mean take a couple of steps forward each time) then you have no problems. Only 1 Eye patrols here so 1 shot kill ftw!!! By the time the 4 Chosen here have been killed either wait 2/3 mnutes for respawns or go hunting.

Hope this helps and this is only done from the point of a Holy Priest and am sure different people have better/simpler ways but this worked for me:D

Despite all of the complaining about the difficulty of this quest (and rightfully so), if you have the daily from the SSO for the Ata'mal Armaments, it makes the pain a little easier to deal with.

73,40 is another good spot, 1 elite and 1 eye both have long pats so you can kill 4ish mobs at a time before running back to 73,40 to avoid them
Also its fairly spacious there

this quest is so much easier if you are a ROUGE (im a 68rouge)... never had problems with the elites. just had to make good timing with the moving green eyes. died once because my stealth came off as i backed off into one of those standing light torch... duh!... was triple teamed by slayers. its soloable but again, it will be really tough if youre not a rouge. oh yeah, i dont have a flying mount. took me less than 30mins to complete.

Just killed all the slayers with my Hunter (BM) Kind of a pain, but doable with some techniques listed below:

1. Put pet on passive
2. Lay down an Immolation trap and back up to max range
3. Serpent sting/ concussive shot/ nuke (should be able to get a arcane and multi in before they are on you)
4. Aspect of Monkey/whack on them with melee and lay another trap when cool down finishes.

This method worked for me.

Remember not to use your pet and or snake trap both will cause the slayers to evade bug out (big pain)

this quest is BULL%^&* i spent about 50g on repiars an about 6 hours an it only got me about half way through, blizz have decided to be real %^&*!@#s with this quest, first they put the mobs reeeeeeeealy close together then they set about 6 70 elites to wonder about the palce randomly, and if you try doin with a friend the mobs become bugged an get getin back to full health when they're almost dead. unless blizz changes the rewards to epics and about 30g it aint worth doin

I soloed this as a 70 Pally.
First flew into a corner between a wall and the mountain (73,36).
There is a little tent and a Darkweaver under there that will aggro
when you land, so be prepared.
Pull him against the wall, and the Pats will not see you.
Then there are pairs of Slayers that u can kite into the little kill zone
and do quick work.
There is a pat of a lone Chosen that you can pick off as he goes around.
Then you pick off the Darkweaver on the other side of the stairs and the
Chosen on the stairs can be picked off and kited to the kill zone.
Be careful when you kite them as the Darkweaver under the tent respawns
quickly, and I was fighting 3 mobs a couple times.
Did not die, but came close twice.

If you do this quest and aren't a rogue I wish ya the best, as a rogue I was just barely able to do this with only 1 death. Take out the 70 elites or the Glowing Balls that detect stealth and this would be a little easer. I feel sorry for any one who does this with out stealth.

I just soloed this as a level 69 rogue. Hard and time consuming but obviously do-able.

The slayers were easy and not bugged for me, just pulled them and hammered them individually.

I then stealthed up into the compound, had to use vanish occasionally so very time consuming. when got to first set of stairs, took a right and set myself up in the far right corner after taking out the darkcaster there. Kidney shot rocks when they are set to run. Right in the corner and stealthed is just out of pat detection. Then took out chosen that wanders past. Got bored waiting for respawn so wandered further up the run. Again using vanish when necessary. Set myself up in far right corner and sapped one of pair of slayers and killing them in turn. Again took out closest darkcaster and wandering chosen. Rinse and repeat. Must have taken out another darkcaster by this stage cos had all darkcasters and slayers just Chosen were left. Now I was panicking cos it was nearly maintenance and wanted this done. So stealthed up to next level and took right again. Set myself in tiny corner and pulled near units to me whilst watching out for pats. Only had to double up once on nearby slayers, thank God for Blade Flurry and kidney shot. Then pulled a couple of chosen from nearby stairs. Rinse and repeat!

Not too hard but really boring waiting for pats to go and vanish to tick over.

This quest blows monkey chunks out my ass. The mobs are very easy to kill, but the patting elites consistently gank me. Use a flying mount, and make sure you determine the paths of the patting elites (and the eyes).

Get on your flying mount and head to 67, 34 to get an idea of where they are. (no flying mount? Do this as a group or wait until you get one) Be advised there are many elite pats so you will need to pull things back from their spawn points. Let's be clear here, this place is a death trap, so if you screw up you will be dead. Play it safe and play it slow and you'll have no problem. Rush, and you'll be doing lots of corpse runs.

Suggestions: Spend some time watching the pats and which way they patrol. There are pats of 'eyes' as well as elites. The eyes are easily killed, the elites are not. There are no 'safe' spots where you can fight a mob where they spawn and not have a pat come by sooner of later. What's worse, the pats will cover everything, so killing one pat does not mean that area is 'safe'. Another pat may come in the same area shortly after.

So you are best to kill fast, get airborne, check the pats and size up your next kill. I have also found a number of 'bugged' mobs that seem to be in one location, but are not really there. I was attacked by one mob that was 12 yards away, and I had to stand 12 yards away to hit him. (the Darkcasters seemed to be the only ones that did this - I had one that was fighting me while he was laying on the ground! heh) So be careful with those.

Worry about the chosen and darkweavers primarily, since you can find slayers anywhere. The chosen I went to 71, 34, and pulled the ones there to the top of the stairs, near the elites on the top balcony. none of the pats seemed to go all the way up the stairs. There are 4 chosen there, I killed the 4 and then went and killed darkcasters, and came back when they respawned. For darkcasters I just looked for solo mobs near corners, checked for pats and then dropped in - killed them - and got airborne fast. You can find loads of slayers at 66, 42 on the ramp. Same warnings apply for pats though - however, you can pull them back a bit to get out of pat range.

Doing this now with my hunter. Still have pet out, completed all 8 slayers so far without any mobs evading.

Update: Yep, just completed quest. Looks like it's fixed (at least on Greymane). Several times where I used both the pet and snake traps on the same mob.

Level 70 Holy Paladin, didn't die at all. Yes it took like 10-15 minutes to complete, but it was not that hard.

Here is what I did, hope it helps.

Flew to 69, 34 (Bottom of the wall), pulled 3 slayers, one at a time into the corner. No Elite pats although an eye comes around, they are a one shot kill, so no problem.

Hopped on flying mount and went up the wall (68,34), there is a little hidden spot here. I waited until the elite and eye went by and pulled mobs 1 to 3 at a time into this little spot. Even when the elite and eye patted by during a fight they could not get to me here. You can pull Slayers, weavers and a couple of Chosen.

Hopped on bird, flew 70, 35. Waited until eliet and eye walked through, landed. Pulled one Chosen, killed him, pulled next but an eye caught me (I got a little impatient), then elite agroed. Bubbled and ran, no death. This was just a bad pull on my part. Returned to the same spot, no pats, pulled next chosen and killed him.

Returned to 68, 34. Killed remaining darkeavers (respawns). Killed one Chosen.

Returned to 70, 35, killed last Chosen.

Returned to 69, 34 and killed remaining Slayers.

And just a side not, the 68 and 69 in the above might be reversed, my notes were a bit scribbled.

I really can't understand how this can be described as easy, six deaths so far, two res at spirit due to impossible position to res at corpse and not yet completed. The description in previous posts of how to take the chosen on the stairs is useful and possible with some patience. Difficult for me to find Darkweavers in corners that I can kill without aggro (they are runners), I've yet to tackle the slayers but there are many about. There is a fine line between challenging and frustrating, i'm finding this frustrating, perhaps better with a group?

The slayers were annoying to start with but they only bugged out when I used my pet so dropped a freezing trap, nuked the heck out of them from max range and then backed up and nuked again for the ones that didnt die the first time.

For the chosen, I got my first 4 at the top and bottom of the steps as suggested in other posts then flew over the top of the elite souleaters doing their ritual to a small building at 71. 35 which has 2 darkweavers and 2 chosen, all of which can be single pulled with no patrols anywhere near. Just let this room respawn once and there are your 4 darkweavers and other 4 chosen.

Stand at 72,38(area behind rock). You can kill everything from here. To kill the slayers, put your pet away, stand in the safe spot and you should be able to pull one at a time (there should be two of them fighting each other). Use immolation trap.

Elites? Obnoxious but not too bad. I was able to take one down by myself.

Evade bugged slayers? WTH? How to comeplete a quest when you can't kill the targets... GG.

And then being killed by Doomcaller's earthquake when I was NOT ANYWHERE NEAR HIM? Icing on the cake. This quest blows.

Just so you hunter's know, if you try to use a snake trap, it will also cause the slayer's to evade bug. Immolation is a better trap to pull them into. But they do not evade if you don't have your pet out as has been stated before.

Well, the general headache of getting most of the stuff and avoiding the elites is almost manageable.

Now the evasian bugged Slayers. They are bugged whether you're in a group or solo and don't depend on the HP they lost. The trick to stop them from regaining all of the HP is to fight them on their precise spawn stationary point. That way they don't need to run far, insta-aggro back and loose least possible HP during the evade. Mages can start by sheeping and then pyroblasting for example.

What a huuuuuge pain in the ass! I don't envy anyone who isn't a caster. I was barely able to do it (69 Mage) without dying. I found a little ledge to hide on, you still pull aggro but at least not from elites, and they will evade off if they get aggroed.
After you go up the white stairs where the 3 Chosen are, make a right and walk straight until you see the little 'bump' of a ledge, climb the rocks and get on there, hide at the back side. The Darkweaver next to there will aggro and cast on you, so be aware, but the melee mobs and elites will go away after they look at you for a while. That spot (and invisibility) saved my ass many times.
This quest really sucks, Good Luck to anyone who attempts it. :)

I just did this quest as a 70 warlock. Having read posts here first, I went in expecting total chaos, but the fact is, I found a safe spot pretty quickly & did the Darkweavers & Chosen from there. It's at 68,40 on the top of a corner of a wall, so you need a flyer to use it. A Darkweaver spawns right in the corner, so obviously by "safe" I don't mean you can take a nap or go wash the car. It's safe in that nothing big paths there; in fact, a Chosen paths close enough to tag & pull to the corner, & half the time while you're killing him the Darkweaver spawns there too, & that's as tough as it gets. At least, in the corner there, that's as tough as it gets.

Looking out northeast from that corner, there are pairs of pet-bugged Slayers along both walls, left & right. Two big pats crisscross back & forth every few minutes out in the courtyard, & there is a stairway going down off a ways to the left. Down this stairway are a few Chosen that you can run to, after you learn the pat timing. You can kill one easily or two if you're fast, but one or both of the Slayers on the left might hop in, so the pet-bug comes in very handy, as you can just finish your Chosen & then start on the added Slayer(s) just long enough to make them bug out & evade. (My only death on this quest came here, as I killed the Chosen & was dispatching both added Slayers when a big pat added in also -- my bad on the timing.)

Needless to say, all of the above took a while, but not a LONG while. I killed an extra Darkweaver or two owing to waiting for Chosen to spawn, & when those were all done, then I went out to the entry ramp, dismissed my felguard to get around the pet-bug problem, & killed the Slayers one by one without a hitch. It all came down to patience, patience, patience. I try to imagine hunting deadly monsters in real life. Nothing at all wrong with taking my time & checking stuff out. This was *not* a difficult quest once I read here & figured out how to color inside the lines.

I put in a ticket about the evading issue and GM told me it has been reported and investigated.

Has anyone else had a problem getting the rep marks not droping there also?

5/16/07. got theis quest finished but for 6 slayers. found a nice area to clear and keep clear 72,40. but the mobs started evading me and then entering combat. got them down because i rock. but then they started staying in one spot but still being within my range attack range (hunter) eventually becuase of the errors with the mobs i was taken down. put in a ticket for it and got a very similar response to others. "we know the mobs are in error, you can finish this quest without your pet. there is an upcoming patch to fix these mobs but we don't know when." what the hell? how can you be so incognicent to the plight of the players! keep playing and paying the toll but we aren't required to make the game run properly or be accountable when it is down? my suggestion is to wait for this magical patch to fix everything. you are a complete joke blizzard. a parasite on the wallets of us all and you are totally ok with it. I'm not, and I'm cancelling my subscription. I encourage others to do so as well.

Real pain in the butt for BM hunters.

TIP: spend your time on other quests instead of wasting time on continuous corpse runs.

For those that feel the need to do this quest, fight bugged mobs on their spawn points to keep the fight as continuous as possible.

Any idea if this yields spill-over with the Sha'Tar? I've been stuck at 5999/6000 for a loooong time and I've been doing massive amounts of Aldor stuff. Not sure how to get past this spot.
