How to get Neutral with Netherdrake (Netherdrake Epic Mount Quest Starter)

1. Kindness
- Kill 8 Rocknail Flayers, Use Carcasses to Feed 8 Dragons (don't move!). Also make sure to travel a bit when laying the meat, as the same drakes won't eat twice in a row.

2. Seek Out Neltharaku
- Fly on your mount and find Neltharaku, he patrols slowly around Dragonmaw about a few hundred feet up. You'll have to be about 5 yards UNDER him to talk to him.

- Listen to story.

4. Infiltrating Dragonmaw Fortress
- Kill 15 of any type of orcs in the fortress.

- Find 12 Crystals from the floating island SE of the mainland.

8. Zuluhed the Whacked
- Kill Zuluhed and recover the key. I recommend pulling him inside so as to avoid the archers, and kill him BEFORE he summons his add. Use the key he drops to free Karynaku.

9. Ally of the Netherwing
- Return to Mordenai, you will immediately gain 42,000 rep and become neutral.

- Blizzard has announced that next patch they will be introducing a continuence of this quest line, including the ability to get exalted and purchase or receive through extensive questing an EPIC netherdrake mount. You will need epic training to use it however, so save your gold!

If someone in your group already has the key to free Karynaku, aka the key you get from killing Zuluhed the Whacked, you can simply accept the quest, and then open the lock with that key. This will finish your quest much easier.

To continue with this questline, first get your 300 riding (epic flying) skill and talk to Mordenai in Netherwing fields. he will send you to talk to the general of the Dragonmaw orcs at the Netherwing encampment. This encampment is located right on the first E of Netherwing Ledge.
There you will get several quests 2-4 daily quests based on how many gathering professions you have, and 1 repeatable quest. Daily quests can be repeated once a day, but you can do no more than 10 of their type a day.

NEUTRAL to FRIENDLY:

A Slow Death (Daily) 250 rep
Get 12 Fel Glands from the nether rays on netherwing ledge, use these along with the quest item you received to poison the orcs working all around the ledge.

Netherdust Pollen (Daily) 250 rep
This is the quest for herbalist, simple enough gather 40 pollens from the netherdust bushes found around the ledge.

Netherwing crystals (Daily) 250 rep
Collect 40 Netherwing crystals, these drop off of the flayers on the ledge and any mobs in the mines south of the encampment.

Not so friendly skies (Daily)
Get 10 Netherwing relics from the Dragonmaw transporters flying between Netherwing ledge and the Dragonmaw Fortress. Land on one of the floating islands between the island and the mainland and use ranged attacks to pull the transporters to you.

Great Netherwing egg hunt (Repeatable) 350 rep first turn in, 250 subsequent turn ins
This is the only completely repeatable quest there is, and it's to turn in a netherwing egg. These eggs can come from anywhere herbs, mining, mob drops, there are even eggs that spawn along the ridge that you can click on to loot. Sadly though, the drop rate on these is incredibly low.

Netherwing HONORED to REVERED/EXALTED:

Building a Soul Cannon 500 rep
Bring the guy at camp 2 felsteel bars, 1 adamantite frame, 1 khorium power core, and one quest item. You get the quest item in terrokar forest in the area above the horde base that you can only get to with a flying mount. There's a guy there who will summon 5 elementals of each element one at a time, after you kill each of them you get the item, all easily soloable.

This leads to :

Subduing the Subduer 500 rep
You have to channel a spell from your mount onto xxx the subduer a 73 elite in twilight ridge in nagrand. What you have to do is keep far enough back from him, and dodge his bolts to eventually drain his life down, I found it easier to train him around the center of the camp keeping across the center from him at all times (note: height has nothing to do with melee range so don't try to just fly high enough that he won't melee you). Be careful not to die too far in the air. Once you win you get to choose between 4 green quest rewards, none of which are very overwhelming.

Disrupting the Twilight Generator (Daily) 500 rep
Kill any 20 of the mobs at the same place as the above quest.

Race quests 500 each for first 5, 1000 for 6th
At this level you also unlock the Race quests. Basically this is a series of 6 quests where you try to fly behind each of the riders and not get knocked off by the bombs/magic/meteors they throw at you. The first 5 aren't too bad once you learn how to avoid their attacks. The final race is either really rough or bugged at the moment, because if you aren't right on top of the guy he'll despawn. The others you could get a little range to dodge at least. Also a riding crop/pally aura makes this a lot easier since he's faster than you, reward is a +10% mount speed trinket.

This opens up at REVERED:

The greatest trap ever (Daily) (3 man group)- 500 rep
You are told that you need to lead a group of dragonmaw to attack the aldor(scryer) base, once there you talk to a few npc's then start an attack. You will have 8 non elite npc's assisting you and 1 elite npc, your goal is to keep the elite npc alive while fending off all the dragonmaw. There are several waves of these guys so just try to dps them down as best you can. The battle takes place literally 3 steps from the graveyard so it isn't hard to just walk over and rez if you die.

Repeat these until exalted and enjoy your mount :)

I have made the quest chain and im Neutral with the faction but i still cant fly in to the Dragonmaw Bace Camp and i have lookt up if im "At War" with tthem and im not. Anyone have any suggestion what i can do?

There is a quest in Netherstorm where we are supposed to collect 8 nether drake essences. How to do that when being neutral with Netherwing already, without losing reputation?

Babyorphan, Tier 4/5 are only FIVE peice sets and do not have belts, bracers, or boots.

Killed Zullu before I had the training and used the key on the dragon.

So now that I dropped my 5K, after the fact cant seem to pick it up what I doing wrong. Have tried talking to guy in Netherwing Field still hostile and red, the dragon says you must free my children.

What are the DragonScale Leatherworkers suppossed to do for scales if we need rep? I am now neutral with the dragons.... but I need scales.... killing them will decrease my rep.... ? What are we supposed to kill for scales if we need rep too?

Blizzard has updated it so as not to have a negative impact on skinner/ leatherworkers. You can now kill netherdrakes without having a negative rep impact. If that's changed in a later patch, just do as others have said, and click "At War".

I finished this quest today and I only have basic flying training.

So far this is the known end of this quest line to gain Netherwing faction rep.
It is said that the rest is not implemented in the game yet and will be added in
the future, and that would make reasonable sense looking at all the rest that are
lacking in the game.. like tier 4/5 feet and belt etc.

Talking to Karynaku will let you ride her down to the waiting Mordenai who will
grant you a choice of some new imba equipments.

Netherwing Protector's Shield

Netherwing Defender's Shield

Netherwing Sorceror's Charm

Netherwing Spiritualist's Charm

There will be 2 nether drake mounts: 280% PVE and 310% PVP, both epic (Source).

I've been able to gather a little more information which should help set some of the information straight.

The swift (armored) nether drake which is a seasonal arena reward will be a 310% speed flying mount.

The (unarmored) nether drake will be obtained through a quest (which is planned to be implemented in a future patch) and will be a 280% speed flying mount. This nether drake is intended to supply players with a cool new epic mount and won't require any tasks within raid encounters. It's a reward that all players can work towards, but it will still be difficult to obtain.

There is another mount that is 310% speed that is yet undiscovered which is intended to be an equally rare and difficult to obtain equivalent to the arena reward. That's the only information we're able to give at this time.
