Use insignia/medallion of horde/alliance to dispel the stun when the event begins.

Quickly jump into the river and you won't have to chase her far. Very easy!

Its near 13:50 on the map of Azshara, if the Moonstone isnt on the Altar then you just have to wait for it to respawn.

Firstly, make sure your hearthstone is on cooldown, go to Shattrath and portal to Orgrimmar (if your horde), then fly to valormok in Aszhara, mount up and head west.

13,48 is the exact co-ordinates. As you approach this location from the east, you will see the moonstone on an alter.

You interact with the stone as if to take it, at the end of the channel the goblin will spawn and sap you (As museyes said above, have your pvp trinket equipped to instantly break this).

They jump instantly in the water (having ninja'd the stone off you) and start swimming south down the river. There are mines that will Frost nova you (shift in and out to continue) and other shoot you upwards (knocking you out of aquatic form).

Personally I got to 7,94 before catching up with her. More and more speed boosts become available further down the path, I got 3 or 4 in total.

As Duxa says, for the first part of the trek, hug the right hand side of the river, you'll avoid most of them.

To 'win' simply catch up (and overtake her) at which point she will give in and stop, asking you not to hurt her.

Simply speak to her to say 'hand it over' and she'll drop the moonstone in your bag!

In the case that you wouldn't catch up with her, she's using high quality goblin engineering frost grenades. And as we all know, those things tend to backfire...

Of course it's worth remembering that Ashara is very close to Moonglade. Why got to Shatt or stone elsewhere, when you have a free port to Moonglade that's available any time.

Quest was fairly easy, but I was slow to start. Even if you hit every second bomb, you eventually catch... even if that means you're almost near Durotar.
Other word of advice.... go from flight path north along the east side of the cliff. The item you pick up (and then have stolen from you by the NPC) is at the very end.

The frost nova buff you get, is in fact that, a buff. Just right click it off while swimming!

After she jumped into the river, I mounted up and ran south to the bridge Azshara - Ashenvale. Jumped down into the water when I saw her on the minimap with Track Humanoids in cat form. She gave up then.

Killed a rare spawn undead on the way too :)

As others have mentioned, trinketing out of the initial sap will make this very trivial. Caught up with her at 13, 49. Kinda too easy =/

Just so no1 makes a idiot choice like i did... dont try swimming all the way up the river to find the stone.. cause once ur in you cant get out until about the Horde warsong camp... and as noted above, if you use your pvp insigna thing.. u catch her in like 2 sec :) Enjoy

In order to "escape" the Frost Grenades, simply make a macro that contains

/cancelaura Rizzle's Frost Grenade

and click it whenever you get trapped. This will remove the effect without you having to switch forms.

Nobody has mentioned it yet: she actually swims under the surface of the river. Caught me off guard and she swam right under me on 2 attempts before I figured out I had to be under the water.

make sure you start this on toop of the hills. dont swim up or down the river prior to starting, dont fall in, nothing. stay on the hills until you are 100% posative you started. you have to sim all the way back down towards ogrimmar to get on top of the hills again. very very very annoying

Don't trinket out of the sap, it makes this really stupid and anticlimactic, i did trinket and i ended up catching her about 60 yards from the boat...

Don't trinket out, don't go running down the shore to the bridge, just jump in and chase her down. It's great fun!

It takes a little while but I'm glad I didn't come hear first and try any of these tricks, I had a ball chasing her down the river, dodging bombs and picking up speedy buffs.

And why would anyone be rating down comments saying "try to have fun"? I think you people just forget that the game is about fun, challenges and satisfaction when you beat them. What you will achieve by cheating game? Actually the whole race is already suprising easy in Swim Form (maybe it should be done in caster form?), yet still its better racing than getting around the stun and using mount.

I don't have a PvP trinket and didn't bother with the "Mount to the Bridge" tactic. I completed it on my first try. I only saw 2 speed boost and the first one occurred right before I was ice blocked. I caught her just before the water fall into Orgrimmar. Which is probably as far as she goes.

If you don't have a trinket you can use a Free Action Potion before you try and loot the stone.

Just did it, without trinketing anything, just shapeshifted to aquatic form to race her down, was rather fun (a lot less painful than the netherwing race for a start). If you go this way (that seems far more easy than running on you mount trying to catch her), just remember to shapeshift from and to aqua when you get frozen. You should catch her up before seeing the first speed boost.

One thing... the altar with the moonstone on it is on a little ledge that looks like it's accessible from another ledge which is on the same level. It isn't, I found out the hard way... slid into the river and had to swim all the way down to the Warsong Lumber Camp in Ashenvale in order to climb out again and try a second time. Aargh! So approach the altar from the ledge above.

Blizzard has to be the worst no mind jerks (and yes I am taming this ALOT) in all of the Video Game industry.

I have done alot of dumb quests in WoW, but this is by far the WORST and most STUPID quest.

Best way to complete it? Easiest way to complete it?

I just completed this quest a few days ago. The trick is to swim on the right side of the river and shape shift in and out of aquatic when the cute bombs freeze you. This was definately a fun quest!!

^-^ I loved this quest. I chased her quite a ways down the river. Seemed like every time I was anywhere close, I either got frozen or I got blasted by a random mine so close to the middle that you couldn't avoid it... -_- I wasn't really in a rush to catch her anyways, it was fun. Enjoy it because unfortunately you can only do it once! I thought as I jumped I was gonna hit ground, thankfully, I didn't. Also, make sure you are dropping the freeze effect by going -> caster -> water form again. I got very far behind her even doing that, to the point where I lost sight of her. If you ARE NOT doing that, you'll definitely lose her.

Amazed by the very bad posts here, I looked at wowhead and found this simple post. explains everything. Makes all other posts here useless and to complex :)

Precison Coordinates: 14.1, 47.8

(1) Teleport to Moonglade
(2) Fly to Talrendis Point, Azshara
(3) Ride North, along the East side of the river
(4) Click on the Moonstone and get stunned for 8sec
(5) Hop on your mount, or use dash or travel form and go South down the East side of the river
(6) When you see her using Track Humanoids, jump in and cut her off

I don't know if it was luck but I hit the trinket the second I sapped, went cat jumped down and did not so much as shift cat-caster-swim before I caught her! Literally 15 seconds or so, directly below alter. Coords correct.

You don't need to mount up and run alongside the river...

1. I jumped in after her when the stun wore off.
2. Popped one swim speed potion. (bought off AH for 18s)
3. Aquatic Form
4. Within 10-15 seconds (before the potion wore off), I passed her.

(I don't think that's too complex.) :-)

guyz.. too much explanation, well it seems like some imposible to cach at 1st few trys ^^. Bull@#$%. Find the coords click at the stone and jump in the water.. You can even gief her a minute ^^. GL at the Heroex!

This was so easy. Just mount up after you get out of sap. I ran along the river for like 15 seconds, then jumped down. I even had to wait a few seconds because I was ahead of the mob :)

Use the insignia of the Alliance if you got it. Works like a charm, you can catch Rizzle within the minute.

I did as the previous poster said and mounted up and rode to just N of 92,69 in Ashenvale. I first went N when I reached the river thinking i may be ahead of her.

Initially I didn't see anything at first, but then the health bars above the bombs became visible. Once i went into seal form and dove under the water, there she was. I didn't see any indication that she was underwater until the bomb health bars popped up.

The catch is as soon as you get it you're sapped, and the mob jumps in the river. You now have to chase him, avoiding the depth charges. When you finally catch her again (Rizzle Sprysprocket - I was almost to Orgrimmar when I caught her!), she just gives it back!

Grrrr...most annoying, avoiding the charges and from time to time being frozen in one of Rizzle's freeze traps. And Blizzard does not give me the satisfaction of killing it? As some help, be on the lookout for some speed chests like the ones in battlegrounds. But more than likely they'll help you little as going that fast you're likely to plow into one of Rizzle's charges.

When you do this, just keep in mind that Shapeshift breaks Frost Nova.

Starting coordinates are spot on.

When I got there, a Tauren druid was about to click on the Moonstone. That's when I decided to slide off the cliff like a noob.

Seconds later, they were both in the river and I followed to see how it would go.

Underwater traps are annoying as heck and at one point, I thought the Tauren would blow the quest because he wasn't shape-shifting out of freeze traps.

Finally, after 3-4 minutes at least, at coordinates 92,69, Rizzle was 'waiting' (don't know how else to call it) in the river.

So, when I did it, I just mounted up after Sap wore off and headed to those coordinates.

About 90 seconds later, she came into view and surrendered the stone as soon as she was in range.

To get there, run back towards the bridge and crossover to Ashenvale. Hang a left through Warsong Lumber Camp and follow the river until you come to an upended tree sticking out of the river bank.

Three steps past the tree, enter the river and she'll come to you.

What can I say, I'm just lazy : )

How to do Chasing the Moonstone:

go to Azshara > Kalimdor /way 14,2, 47,8
interact with Southfury Moonstone. After that you'll be stunned for 9 secs.
jump into the water and catch Rizzle Sprysprocket by using aquatic form to race down the river avoiding the depth charges she leaves behind
return the quest in Zangarmarsh

Go over speed boosts into water will help a lot.

Just pop a free action potion before selecting the orb. Skip the stun, jump into the water and talk to her immediately... Super easy.

Because there wll be alot of players when you arive at the moonstone place just wait someone to click then follow the goblin. He will stop at the moment when someone catch it so you can just intercept and every one will be able to talk with him and compete the quest

After catching her I spoke to her over and over but she wouldn't give up the item. I think she might have been in one zone and me in the other which bugged it. Nothing else I can think of.

At some point she will yell something in the lines of "so much for goblin engineering", this is when she's super slow and you can just swim to catch up. Took me a long time to reach her, all the way into Ashenvale.

You can actually shapeshift into Cat form just after attempting to loot the Moonstone, but still before you get stunned. Once the stun wears off, immediately use Dash and jump down in the river and switch to Aquatic form. I was able to catch her after just 2-3 seconds this way - no need to chase her down the whole river and also no need for insignia-cheese.

I've done this quest several times now chasing her down the river only to catch her and she refuses to give me the moonstone. I am able to speak with her where she says "All right, you win! I surrender! Just don't hurt me!" I talk to her and nothing happens. She's supposed to give me the moonstone in my bag but that doesn't happen. I put in a ticket but Blizzard sucks so they won't do anything. This is beyond frustrating.

Tip: mount before jumping to the water, then use you will catch him/she in less than 5secs.... Another tip: you can Moonfire Rizzle's Depth Charge and switch to Aquatic form.

Chasing the Moonstone

Bring a Southfury Moonstone to Morthis Whisperwing at the Cenarion Refuge.

Descrizione

If the essences are combined within a rare gemstone such as a Southfury moonstone, you'll be able to release them when you're prepared to challenge Anzu.

The only problem is that Southfury moonstones are only found on the Azshara side of the river, on the cliffs near the river's source.

Tragedy befell the last night elf party that sought the stone. Their boat is still anchored in the river near where they sighted the moonstone. Keep your eyes open and approach the site by land from the Azshara side.
