While it grows all over the ledge, you risk being battered by dragonmaw ascendants while picking it.

However, it also grows on the mainland around Dragonmaw fortress. Your orc disguise is active there, too. So the entire fortress is non-hostile and you can pick risk-free. There aren't quite enough locations to get your 40 (unless you get real lucky) but if no one else is mopping it up you can probably get half your daily take there without worry.

Do u have to have Herbalism 375 to pick them? I just started leveling herb and only at 255.

Note that if you have both herbalism and skinning, you are only able to choose this quest OR the one for Nethermine Flayer Hides (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=11016), but not both during the same day. You can, however, always get the quest for Netherwing Crystals (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=11015).

you can only turn in 1 daily gathering quest... so you'd pick mining or herbs but not both.

ps... since i need to dodge elites, riders, and assorted other mobs while trying to harvest herbs, as opposed to fighting in & out of the mine while my wife handily skins everything in sight for her rep turn in... I dont consider that an 'easier' way to rep.

Well thats fair. Herbalists and Miners get buy/grind their way to rep easier...

I'm a miner and herbalist, but I was only able to do the mining quest, not this one..Any idea why?

There are three available, but you can only do one a day.

I agree this is fair as the pollen is also dropped by mobs so a dedicated miner/skinner would otherwise have the ability to earn 3 times as many rep points per day as others (well twice as much once friendly if you ignore eggs).

Can someone tell me what I need to be able to speak to this guy? He's hostile red and my cursor stays a gauntlet (no sword or talk bubble) when I pass it over him? Thanks in advance for the help.

A flower picker?! Hilarious... Unfortunately, our mages and shaman need your services. The netherdust bushes that grow on this ledge have special pollen that is apparently very useful in their magical dealings. Bring me that stuff and I'll consider your work order complete.
