These seem to spawn at certain locations, though I am not sure how long the respawn time is. I've seen one respawn behind the two elite drakes near the 'dock' where Netherwing Transporters land and fly off from, and it respawned in the same exact place. However, getting it required one person distracting the drakes because it was too close to them to open up without aggroing.

I've also seen them drop off the Nethermine Flayers more than once, though it's rather rare most of the time. I have also seen some spawn at different places in the cave, but finding them is tough since the mines are so camped most of the time.

Some other things to note:

1. Like Sasquatchiii said, if you're grouped you roll need/greed on the eggs if you come across one on a mob or 'open' a spawned egg up.

2. They DO stack, I think either to 10 or 20 per stack, but not sure because I only have 5 at the moment.

3. You only get the gold reward once on the FIRST turn in, and any eggs turned in after that just net you 250 rep.

4. You can turn in as many as you like in one day as the quest to turn them in IS NOT considered a daily quest.

5. A spawned egg is considered to be like a treasure chest in that you CANNOT open it up if you're in combat. You have to be OUT of combat to open it up and get the egg.

They can drop off any mob on the Netherwing Ledge.

The best place for finding eggs on the ground is deep in the mines, and check the slime/worm area every so often theres a good chance of spotting them, always keep an eye out for eggs, if you are in an area with other players that if you arent looking for the eggs they will get it before you

If you are an herbalist, you can also get these from picking the netherdust bushes. I've received two eggs already from a total of maybe 20-25 bushes farmed.

is it only 1 egg needed per turnin, that would be really nice as i find these eggs frequently. unfortunatly, atm i cannot get them cuz i aint L70.. lol.. : ( but yea i need to know this.. 1 egg or 20 for turnin? what?

These eggs can be a bit hard to spot.. I would suggest that if your going to do any extensive searching, you do it either early in the morning or late at night so your not having to fight others for them..

Make sure and always check the mines, the small 'islands' beside the ledge and also check the fortress.. I've had them drop off mobs but they are pretty rare so I wouldn't suggest farming for them in that manner.

I also have some gold to spare so usually I ask on the general channel for locations on eggs and I offer to pay for each egg that is given to me by another person, meaning they sit beside the egg and give me the location.... Sadly you need to be sure and loot the egg first before you pay since I've had players who I payed first then they took it.. =(

I did my netherwing grind in 9 days and used 34 eggs. This was on Doomhammer. My trick was to log in at 3-5 am server time and no one was out there. I would often get 6-12 eggs each morning I did this. Cartographer with its gathering notes helped me learn where to look as well.

found mine at 80,88 you dont really have to do this in the night time.. it's ridicullus unless you have no life.... just search for it and you can find them easally over the land.

i found one off a sludge thingy inside the mine underneath the nertherwing town. was a rare drop.

Should you discover any Netherwing eggs while exploring, bring them to me.

Be warned, a Netherwing egg is a rare discovery. Do not become frustrated if you cannot locate one. These Dragonmaw have been very thorough in collecting most of them and shipping them off to parts unknown.

Eggs might be found on creatures of the island, near crystal formations, in the mines, or even inside a nethercite node or netherdust bush.

Keep a low profile. We don't need Mor'ghor catching wind of your actions.
