I don't know if I'm just unlucky but the chances of getting a Darkrune out of the Grab Bag seems to be low, finished the quest 3 times (3 days QQ) and only got Charged Crystal Focus each time. Maybe tomorrow :(

What quests do i have to complete to get this one? Can't seem to accept the quest atm.

You must be honored with Ogri'la to accept the quest "Banish the Demons" https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=11026 . Once that has been completed, this quest becomes a daily quest.

Just to be clear...

You can have only one Kronk's Grab Bag in your inventory.

You can have only one Crystalforged Darkrune in your inventory.

You can have only one Darkrune in your inventory.

You may have one of each of the above in your inventory.

If you have a Darkrune in your inventory you won't be able to open the Kronk's Grab Bag - because it may contain yet another Darkrune.

If your inventory is 'full' you'll have to use the Crystalforged Darkrune then convert the Darkrune to a Crystalforged Darkrune before you can open another Kronk's Grab Bag.

Seeking some help or advice.

I completed the quest Banish the Demons a couple of weeks ago, and received the darkrune from Kronk. When I completed it, the quest to convert it to a Crystalforged darkrune was not an option from Gahk, and I didn't know there was a quest from him until later on....much later, after destroying my darkrune. Now, I can't get the quest to Banish More Demons from Kronk to try for another darkrune.

Has anyone encountered this? Any advice would be appreciated.

10 daily quests given back and still no darkrune :/ So use them wisely when you get them.

There is no place where the portal is. You just use the item provided anywhere in the Camps and you "create" a portal.

Guys if you have this quest, and are out killing your 15 demons at one of the camps, lookout for other faction members on the quest and invite them to your group.
There are many advantages:
1. Mobs die faster
2. You waste less shards creating portals as 1 portal per group is enough to get credit for mobs.
3. You got some backup in case you pull too many mobs or get the humanoids to agro you (the shadowbolt spam is very annoying)
4. There are less outsiders killing demons, so there's more for you to kill and you finish the quest much faster.
The only disadvantage -> You dont get the full loot off mobs (as if they drop anything worth it...)
On my realm the forge camps (especially the northern one) are heavily farmed with people doing the quest, and it could so easily be avoided if we just grouped up.

the "Mo'arg Extractor" his two minions, the "Crystalforged Miner" that sometimes patrols in the forge camp: wrath count towards the demons you have banished. They are possibly easier to kill than any of the demons at that camp. Just watch out for the eyes that patrol (they look like the warlock's eye of killogg). If they spot you they will move towards the nearest monster (usually a warlock humanoid); they move slightly faster than you can walk and they have about 350 HP. The warlock usually loves to spam shadowbolt, hitting you for 600-800 damage once every three seconds with exactly zero shadow resist.

The best way to do this quest is combine it with the "bomb them again!" quest. If you are up for a real challenge, try killing the demons at forge camp: terror; most of the demons at that camp are elite.

The demons milling around the apexis monuments count for this quest if you get them near a portal. The boar do not.

If I get hit by the flare and knocked off my mount I just kill the demons and then mount up for another run, works quite well.

The Wrath Corruptors won't give credit, for some reason, so don't try to kill them.

Same thing as the last quest, you just have to kill 15 of those demons in the forge camps near the portals you set up, just this time you get a grab bag for the rune. It's pretty much a 50% chance to get a rune (atleast for me it is) and you get all the rep and stuff. Also requires honored. Daily ftw!

So it seems that players from the opposing faction can drop their banish crystal while you are killing a demon for this quest and you will not get credit for that demon. Not sure if they get credit. As soon as I see that s**tbag tauren druid on Mirage Raceway I will do the same to him/her :)

Banish More Demons

Kronk has asked you to use the Banishing Crystal to banish 15 demons at Forge Camp: Wrath or Forge Camp: Terror atop the Blade's Edge Mountains. Return it to him once you have done so.

If we know the demons, and we do because we've studied them extensively, they're fast at work repairing any damage that has been done to their precious transporter.

So, if you want a chance at another darkrune, take our banishing crystal back out there and eliminate more demons. Besides, you want to help us to lessen the threat that the demons pose, yes?

We said "chance" because the process we use yields mixed results. You might get a darkrune, or you might get something else entirely.
