I got this one done on my first try. The old guy seemed harder to me.

He just throws skulls that blow up towards you, I found it easier to stay a little back and move to the side when they came near. The only thing that sucked, as with any of them, is the Skybreakers flying around.

His aim is worse then his flying. >_<

He's very easy...however you have to stay closer to him than you would think and the skybreakers are really hard to avoid when you are focused on avoiding bombs and keeping up with the pilot. :(

I've come close to completing this quest several times and failed near the end because apparently I strayed too far away from him even though he was not that far ahead of me each time. Anyway he flies very fast and as the other posters stated the pats in the air make this guy more difficult than he is.

Just a tip, when he dives into the crystal formations and zig zags around, don't follow him in there. Just fly above it and around to the other side. Stay in range and continue to bob and weave as he will continue throwing skulls at you even though you're out of line of sight.

i would definitely recommend staying either very high or very low below this guy while flying around, as long as you stay directly above/below him....you can stay out of range of the skulls and/or dodge them very easily

i recommend mattrick's approach ^ and also my parachute cloak has saved me many many times from falling to my death :]

One more vote for Mattrick, I stayed high on top of him the entire race, and it went smooth, didn't get hit by him once. The skybreaker guards aggro'd a couple of times, but i just ignored them and had no problems.

One thing I have seemed to note is you also cannot get too close to this guy while flying, he fling 2-3 skulls, then he does a point blank AOE also that will knock you off. That's how I keep failing is I miss my timing and pass too close to him.

Here's a strategy that worked for me. Paladin with Crusader Aura engaged. Not sure if that will matter....

I got above him right away. Held down both mouse buttons (which acts as move forward) and pointed down towards him. In this way, I was always "diving", and I could watch him at all times.

I would then hit the space bar to climb whenever I got near him. So I was making vertical up and down zig-zags. I would make sure I started climbing with space bar every time he throws skulls, and when I had a good handle on where the skulls were going, I let off the space bar to dive around them.

I failed several times before trying this strategy, and it worked the first time.

A Parachute cloak is HIGHLY recommended for these quests, the engineering one is perfect since it only has 30 seconds cooldown, and will save your butt, but most likely your gold.

the only thing you need to do, is wear your cloak, and move the icon to a hotkey, take will help you react faster when you are falling, rather than clicking on the icon in your inventory.

the bastard dropped me off my mount without any bomb that i saw and i landed behind a crystal and had to teleport out -.- i hate him.

Strategy that worked perfect for me was to switch to first person view and fly sideways, rather far above and sometimes even in front of him, while looking down. He never hits you with any of his skulls, and it's easy to adjust yourself according to where he's going. Skybreakers didn't annoy me much either, because I flew over most of them.

Use your mouse to move and the SPACE BAR, Q and E to help manuver.

As mentioned, fly high and a bit back from him - use the mouse to keep him centered on your screen and SPACE to move up to keep from crashing. When he fires skulls use SPACE, Q and E to dodge up, left or right - it's a long race but once you get the hand of avoiding the skulls you're fine.

This guy throws rocks back at you, and takes the hardest route. I found that intermittently pressing the space bar to constantly go up and down allowed me to avoid the rocks he was throwing.

Ok, so he throws a boatload of skulls at you while you're flying. I zoomed in on my char all the way, then flew above and slightly behind him quite a bit. This made it to where I could avoid the damn skulls as they spread out from him (they trail out when he throws, so you can't miss just one, you have to avoid the whole burst he tosses). Also, he flies the longest and most twisty flight path thus far on these. He also does this quick double back on himself a few times during it, but as long as you're up and behind him, you just pause a sec (and I do mean a quick second) and he resumes his flight. Be warned, those damn Orc Skybreakers are in the flight path and they DO attack you, just keep going! After a few seconds or so, they drop their attack, no harm done.
