As the quest states, you simply have to return to a capital city and talk to the npc at the midsummer bonfire to complete the quest.

For horde the npc is found right outside Thrall's chamber in orgrimmar.

The follow up is https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=11954 depending on your lvl of course.If you are lvl 70 you can get the Ahune quest from the Earthen Ring guy that takes you to SP.

Just a thought...

Since those below level 70 can't do the final piece, maybe the Earthen Guide should say something different when you report in? Something along the lines of "Thanks for the information, I'll make sure it gets to the right people. This cannot be permitted!"

And then a message that the quest was successfully completed, rather than "try to take this quest and fail because you're weak."

I'm 69, and I got both this quest and the Ahune one. You don't have to be at 70, just close.

Why can't a low level character just turn this part of the chain in!??! What's so hard about flying to a faction city and talking to a npc?!?! I can understand about the Lord Ahune part, but go to a city, come on!

What about the Striking Back dailies on Wowhead's Midsummer Fire Festival's quest page? Are these from last year?
I haven't seen these IG (but I think one is about the Lord Ahune) and implies that there would be 'kill X' quests for every lvls x_x

After you have done this quest, acording to your level you can take 1 of following daily quests:

If you happened to delete the Totemic Beacon, you *need* to contact a GM. They will get it back for you so that you can complete the last part of the quest to open the Strike Back daily. There is no other way to get it!

quest level 70, level 65 required, red at 65
"report to a NPC in one of your OWN capital" that is a verrrrrrry red quest !
i just did it at level 61, in this MONUMENTAL moment (i wanted to finish it before i post) !

the level 70 requirement for this is stupid. I did the previous parts of the quest but I could not finish the line because I am not yet 70. Quite a disappointment

lvl 25 turned in at Ogrimmar no problem. Maybe u missed part of quest chain?

I found this most disappointing that I wasn't high enough to return a totem. I mean seriously..... You can do all the other parts of the quest but the final leg which is just as easy you have to be 70 for wth?
