He can be easily kited to darkshire or sentinel hill with a hunter/mage/warlock. When I did it at 28, he died right outside of town before any guards aggro'd on him.

I was able to solo Mor'Ladim as a level 33 shadow priest, without using potions or anything special. Well, I used the Draenei racial symbol of hope, but after you read what I did, you will find that any priest is capable of soloing Mor'Ladim.

The basic strategy for a priest is to "shackle-kite" him. You want to open with a direct damage spell like mind blast or smite. Or, I suppose if you like, you could also try mind flay. Then once Mor'Ladim starts chasing you, shackle him. Get a little range, wait for some mana to regenerate, then re-open with another direct damage spell.

A few things to note: If you constantly damage and shackle, you will probably run out of mana. So, you really want to wait for mana to regenerate during the shackle. Also, it might take you a little while to wear Mor'Ladim down with this strategy. But ultimately, you will able to solo him. If you have 5 talent points in shadow-weaving, you might be better off using mind blast so that the shadow vulnerability debuff stacks on Mor'Ladim. It's helpful, but not necessary. Also, since you are using shackle, I hope it is obvious that you don't want to do something like, Shadow Word: Pain Mor'Ladim. It will break the shackle for the duration.

There is also a little court yard in Raven Hill Cemetary, which features a broken statue and a cobbled area around it. I found this to be relatively free from all the other monsters roaming the cemetary, and it's a good spot to shackle-kite Mor'Ladim. Just kite him to one side, shackle, and then run to the opposite side.

I managed to solo him as a level 28 frost mage, the trick is to kite him over the clear patch of field between the house where Morbent Fel resides and the ghoul crypt, be sure to clear some of the Skeletal Raiders if you think they might aggro doing the job.

Just pull him with your upper rank frostbolt, kite him with your lowest rank until you get a frostbite proc, then you cast your upper rank frostbolt again, when he gets withing range (often after he activates his 'special') just frost nova, take some distance and repeat the above strategy. When you reach the end of the field, do a quick turn, blink and start kiting him over the field again, the opposite direction.

When you run out of mana, nova him and regen all your mana with evocate, then just continue on with the kiting. I did this without any twinked gear but I did use my Blessing of the Naaru in order to make sure I didn't die when I took two hits, so you might want to take a healing and mana potion doing this.

Is it just me or is this a joke XP?

I mean, all other elite quests in Duskwood, that can be done way earlier than this one (lvl 31 elite Eliza and 32 elite Morbent) give almost 4K XP and this one just 2K? For doing a 35 elite? When supposedly, at 30 you won't be around Duskwood anymore, and thus you'll be fighting a red elite instead of a yellow one?...

Looks like cr*p XP, if you ask me...

And the reputation? Another joke vs the 500 of the other elites and Eliza will even give you 500 rep for *all* alliance factions not just SW...

Solo'd him as a lvl 29 Draenei BM spec hunter with a Ravager.

Pretty easy, used Mend Pet, Gift of the Naaru on pet, and popped a Lesser Healthstone for myself. Nothing special, just used Frost Trap on him once to buy myself a lil time to heal and get more distance. And yes he was a lvl 30 Elite when I took him.

I soloed as a 28 Warlock. Just sent voidwalker, applied curses every now and again. Using health funnel to balance out the damage he does and just let the curses take him down.

I soloed Mor'Ladim as a 30 Night Elf Hunter with my Tiger.

You will need the time a freeze trap will buy you to get some mana and health back so have some bandages or a healing/mana potion ready to get back in quicker, then send your pet back in and let it get some aggro and start to fire away again.

I easily soled him as a level 30 Rogue. He isn't immune to stuns, so that makes it even simplier. Really, really easy.

I soloed Mor'Ladim as a 32 fire mage. I waited for him in the clearing east of his path and hit him as he was walking away with pyroblast, fireball, and cone of cold and he was on me. Then frost nova, backed up and cast mana shield and fireballed him again, then fireblast, he broke out of the frost nova, then arcane explosion, got off another fireball while he was pounding on me, then fireblast, frost nova again, backed up, bandaged, used a mana agate, another fireball and fireblast and down he went.

i could find a group so i soloed him as a 30 elemental shaman. sat down stoneskin, searing and poison cleaning totem. i thought he would be poisoning too since the other guys did but he didnt. i had a protection agilty and stamina scroll so i used those as well. i healed myself when i was half way down in my hp twice and use gift of naruu. i kept frost shocking him to slow him down. went down real nice and on the first time. good luck :)

Solo'd at 31, with lock. Felhunter minion. Healthstone and Healing Potion. Fought him in the centre of the cemetry- there's a empty space, where he's not likely to get support from any other monsters.
As cherub says, Mor'Ladim is now a level 30 elite, with advised "group." You don't need one, but it makes it easier, and you can complete the quest earlier. Only drop is his skull (quest item) () and about 2 Silver.

this quest is easy for hunter. i killed him as a lvl 28 hunter without party. i just simply kited him and he dead outside the cemetery. but make sure that u clear the other mobs on your way before u kite him.

His a lvl 30 elite. I solo'd this as a lvl 31 lock and had no trouble. Just use your voidwalker and keep him alive long enough to throw your DoTs onto him and then hit him with shadow bolts. Watch out for other enemies because I had a Skeletal raider on me aswell.

Solo'd him as a 29 enhancement shammy. Died the first time because i tried to mellee him down. Second time i just kited him around with frost shock and earthbind totem. He has some enrage that makes him attack much faster so he will tear you to pieces quite fast if you dont kite him.

Solo'd as a level 31 Protection Paladin - pretty easy for an elite. Here's how I did it:
- Judgement of the Crusader
- Consecration
- Exorcism
- Seal/Judgement of Righteousness
- Mana potion + Heavy Stone Statue (needed mana and the statue helped so I didn't have to self-heal)
- Hammer of Justice
- Seal of Righteousness + auto attack
- Loot and be happy =)

He didn't summon anything when I fought him (14 July 2008, patch 2.4.2) so he's real easy as far as I can tell.

Make sure u have a few friends with u for this guy. Couldn't solo with my lvl 36 druid at all. Even with the help of a lvl 30 warr. either.
Think twice about this unless ur really bored as the xp can't be worth it.

I solo'd him with a 38 lvl mage. I don't now how hard was he in the past but now he is easy. However if you are same level as he or lower, better get a friend with you.

Tip: First, clear the area you are going to fight him from the other mobs. You don't want to solo him and 2 or 3 other mobs at the same time.

Solo'd as 35 Paladin.

Hits fast, very fast, and has a lot of health. Wasn't that hard as a paladin though. Not long after killing him a 30 warrior asked me to help him kill it. Fine. Guy couldn't tell me how to start the quest he had though. The Dude aggros me twice more while doing the prereq for the Fel quest and on the way back from killing Fel.

Next day after checking 3 other websites on how to start the qeust, with no mention of the grave, I find out how to start the quest here. So I drop everything in Stranglethorn I'm doing and go directly to do this quest for revenge.

So the FIFTH time I kill him, as 38 Paladin, I finish the quest. Yay completionism. @.@

i killed him by myself on my lock at 29, my void walker tanked half of his health then i sacrificed him my void walker, and i had a soulstone on me. i also had a lvl 23 take the aggro on him so he didnt heal up and run away when i resed.

He's easy as a frost mage. Soloed at lvl 28.u Tactic is to get him far away as possible, hit him with babout 3-4 frost bolts, CoC, frost nova, blink/walk away repeat sequence. When OOM use mana agate. And repeat, do not let him touch you! I got him to about 150-200 hp doing this, went OOM, threw last frostbolt at him, and soloed with wand. Consecrated wand https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=5244/consecrated-wand nice speed hit him, when a lil bit of mana came back, frost nova then finished him off with wand :) Easy

Just completed this quest last night as a 32 Feral Druid. Hit him with roots, moonbeam, decrease armor, star fire, roots, moonbeam, star fire, star fire, mana refuel, roots, moonbeam, star fire, star fire, then cat form.

Tried to take him in my bear form with 2200 armor but he attacks way to fast and strong for that form.

I just made it out of that fit alive the second time with the above combo. I only had about 25hp left.

this guy used to be a murdering beast. and if you read his story you'll know why he was, and should be. i hated this guy for how many time i got killed by him, and once i read his story i don't blame him :)

course he's a noob now.

1. (use whatever aura you feel like, i used ret)
2. (buff with either Bless of Sanc, or Widsom)
3. judge light
4. pop another seal of light to get 2x heals
5. use exorcism all the time
6. stun if you need to heal (or fear)
7. profit
(i am prot spec with shield, he was easy enough for elite)

Ok.... al lot these comments are old, and are irrelevant due to the patches. And all these comments are broken up into diff parts of information.

So here is the breakdown of this quest as of today.

The LEVEL 30 SKELLIE we are looking for resides in Raven hill CEMETARY... he is usually wandering around. But the co-ordinates I found him: 18,41 (WILL VARY) but there's a broad general idea of where he potentially may be. If you have done previous quests there, you would have probably seen him around, and ended up as his victim in earlier level quests.

I fought as a 35 Warrior... I used Disarm once, and a potion... I even managed to aggro a spider, KILLED THE OTHER AGGRO'd MOBS FIRST, using AOE cleave and thunderclap... so I can inflict dmg to Mor'Ladim at the same time, and then Mortal Combat finished him with Slam and/or heroic strike.

If you are a different class, there are of course other useful comments that may help you; so I hope this helps.

I've soloed him with my lvl 35 rogue. It's easy with evasion and blind to bandage yourself. With assasination specs it's more easy. So, if you are lvl 35, give it a try!

A hard quest, depending how you look at it. I was a lvl 33 warrior when I did this with a lvl 31 priest and was able to finish him off after a few minutes.

If you're below 38, you may want to do it in a group with a priest if possible. The sword that you get from this quest is also badass ;)

Tried lvl 35 Warlock with VW, killed me pretty easy! He hits so fast i thought he was in fast forward. Got him down to past half then he aggro'd me not my VW and took me out pretty quick. I'll take him at 37 or 38 and probably kill him a few times more just for fun ;) P.S anyone ever seen an NPC wolf lvl 40 + called aggro in Duskwood near the grave yard close to Eliza's Grave? He's not listed in the zone and i almost walked right into him thinking he was a regular dire wolf.

He is one tough customer. A 27 pally and myself took him down after 3 tries. He has 3600 hp. If you're a pally, exorcise the hell out of him!

Kited for fun to WestFall @level 24, also solo killed at 24. Came back and did him again solo when I actually had the quest. Easy Kill, but possibly long kill for Hunter's.

Solo'd as 30 hunter, kited to some trees at sven's camp, just keep running around one tree he won't hit you (make sure you have cheetah aspect on) pet will do some damage, use concussive shot, arcane shot etc & if you have time (and a relatively speedy bow) stop for a second and take some pop shots easy quest for a hunter other classes may have some trouble.

As for the moron who said 25's couldn't solo this quest, LEARN TO PLAY your hunter, knowing how to kite is a must for any hunter out there i suggest you get some practice.

I tried using 28 pally along with 26 Dwarf warrior and 29 Mage and we of course got stomped through 4 rez cycles (hard-headed?). Warrior couldn't hold aggro, so he stayed on me, then mage:P While back for more, 60 NE came through and whacked him with one shot and kept on going. Didn't even get a chance to thank him. Nice sword! 23+ dps plus shadow dmg chance on hit. I alt this with my Verigan's Fist to keep training up with both.

For those who do not know where this mob can be found, he is in Ravenwood Cemetary, Duskwood. Go into the middle of the cemetary where there is a kind of circular junction of paths with a statue in the middle. Now, you need to go roughly North West from this junction. You will be going up hill a bit towards an old farmhouse with a bit of its own cenetary around it. Mor'Ladim patrols around here.

As for taking him down - I was a 31 Warrior with reasonable kit but I could not get him because his sword action is too fast. I had the help of a lvl 24 paladin (who stood back most of the time mind you!) so although you do not need a "group" at this level, two is a minimum.

I was very fortunate to have a friend give me this enchant for free on both of my Hunters Axe's (Steelclaw Reaver) & (Gloom Reaper of the Tiger). The enchant dose not go off a often as I expected it to but when it dose especially when both go off at once the damage and special effects is quite cool.

I do attribute it in part to my victory over Mor'ladium a 35 elite in Raven Hill Cemetery out of Duskwood…

I was level 34 at the time after receiving my new enchants I wanted to try something harder than a standard Mob. I decided to go after Mor’ladium of Raven Hill. After finding a suitable area lease likely to get add-on’s I set a fire burst trap and sent in my pet Phantom she fought very valiantly and would not give up as I pummeled our adversary with arrows with an occasional arcane and triple shot With our foe at just less than half life I did loose my best friend Phantom to the ruthless attacks of Mor’ladium he then turned his ravenous attention to me with a swift blood curdling pace he ran towards me determend to vanquish me to a humiliating and painful death.
He stepped through my trap and became engulfed in flames but it did not slow him down with crashing blows we entered into hand-to-hand combat. With the painful loss of my best friend Phantom I decided to fight to the death for his faithful devotion. I was being beaten down terribly my health and mana was almost gone I drank a greater healing potion and got back about 1/3rd of my health but his attacks were relentless and powerful I almost lost the battle but then it happened, The improbable a double fiery burst from my flaming Axe’s and a single 400 + critical hit at the last few determining seconds of the battle decided to whom the hard fought sorrowful victory would go.
My revenge from many a fearful fleeing and a death or two was complete; the dreaded Mob of Raven Hill Mor’ladium lay dead at my feet.

He moves around a lot, so make a macro of /target mor'ladim and you'll find him pretty quick. Pretty easy to solo for lvl 38 rogue.

Me, 29 war, with pretty much best gear for my level (Burning War axe w/ +7 dmg enchant for example) and a twink 29 paladin tried to take him for fun. Both got owned the first time cause he ran out of mana, and both got away with 50 hp the second time! Got him to 70% the first time, and 80 second.

He hits like every second and hit me for ~100 each time, and i only hit like 25% of normal damage because of his armor/level!
Me hitting so low means i don't generate very much rage, so i can't really use any special attacks! Wait till higher level, or bring more healers!

Tried to solo as lvl 35 pally. He was defeated, but only because a last minute entry by someone else. His armor and melee attacks are both high. I had to constantly heal myself just to stay alive while the mage kept hitting him. I wouldnt have made it otherwise.

I just downed him by myself. Im a lvl 36 Frost Mage. I just frost bolt him 3 times or until he gets near me, frost nova him, back up, frost bolt him as many times as possible then repeat. I had to drink a healing potion one time and my health was very low by the time he died, but i did it no problem.

Lvl 31 warrior Lvl 31 priest. Wasn't even close though it wasn't a fast fight.

Basic warrior and priest tactics dropped him.

Warrior - Use a shield. Defensive stance, keep 5 sunders on him and use shield block - guaranteeing a block is useful in this fight though I don't think it was really needed. Heroic strike if you have the energy.

Priest - Mana is for healing and hothing else. Wand him if you aren't healing. Don't cut the heals too close.

Dmg was 35-68 - avg of about 57
Crits were 60-135 - avg about 92

i soloed him as survival specced hunter at 35 i was melleing hin the entire time except pulling and kicked his butt on the first try but i had to use counterattack and back off to bandage myself i still need to kill him a few more times for revenge

Soloed, I'm feral druid, but as radalais said, I had to keep him away, so I just used entangle roots and some ranged spells, always keeping him stuck. It's good to get to west behind the fence, so no other mob get to you. If you keep him stuck you should solo him "easily", it just depends on your mana and no mobs get in your way. with a friend this should be very easy.

Solo'd as level 32 priest did what the top comment says and it worked perfectly. took a while but pretty easy. Careful of people trying to "help" you, they mean well, but had a hunter start blasting him but they were only level 26.. so his pet just kept breaking my shackles.

level 33 hunter, kept up aspect of cheetah, started with concussive shot and serpent sting while sending pet after him (taunt off, cower on) simply kited him spamming both serpent sting and concussive shot around the raven hill cemetery and killed him after about 2 minutes. Pet took aggro once or twice and I took it back with an arcane shot and continued kiting. He only got scarily close once but didn't end up hitting me so it worked out.

Solo'd as a 31 combat sword rogue. Just put crippling on both weapons and keep gouging him. When you get 5 combo points or if your gouge gets dodged/parried/misses and he isn't slowed, go ahead and kidney shot him and dump some damage into him. Keep kiting and bandaging. Save your evasion and potions for when gouge and kidney both fail and you should get him down in no time.

With TBC classic pre-patch, he's been lowered from level 35 to 30. Still elite, but nowhere near Fel Reaver levels from classic.

Whew! Soloed as L35 Shaman, thanks to suggestions from earlier posters!
After my initial death, I noticed in the log that he only hits. Fast and hard, but no casts, no special damage. So I equipped a weaker 1-hand mace and a good shield.
I buffed as best I could, cleared the central circle around the fountain, used the "/target mor'ladim" macro to find him, marked him (I figured a skull would be appropriate!), applied Frostband Weapon, then watched him while he wandered. I widened the area cleared of potential adds until he was in range of my Flame Shock, dropped Stoneskin Totem and Searing Totem, then Shocked him. As he approached, I used Frost Shock to slow him and dropped Healing Stream Totem. After that, I kept backing up, keeping up Searing Totem and Flame Shock, and hoping to get in a Frost effect whenever he caught me. When I was below half health, I applied my Gift of the Naaru, but never had to hit my potions or wait out a Healing Wave.
One mistake I made was dropping Searing Totem without engaging him; he kills these fast (same for Stoneclaw Totem). Once engaged, he does pursue, though, and keeps getting fireballs as we travel around the fountain.
