For those of us without coords you can find the camp in Dun Mandarr, which is South down the road from Everlook and North of the Frostwhisper Gorge. It is the cave right accross from the 3 little caves on the main map. There are a lot of nonaggressive owls and a couple of those flying spitting mobs called Chillwind Ravagers flying around. Theres a few Wildkins protecting the camp, but are easily taken care of when pulled. Search the center of the camp and it tells you to go east and find a wagon. Go back east toward the road to the wagon. Here's the part I missed first time around: I click on the wagon and the message tells me go find the amulet to the northeast. I neglected to pick up Jaron's supplies that appear in a small crate right next to the wagon. Do not make that mistake; it's easy to do. Then go east across the road toward Owl Wing Thicket and fight more owlbeasts to find the "blue-feathered amulet". It dropped from the very first one that I fought. Then turn both items in to Jaron back at Starfall Village. Its easy as long as you dont neglect the dropped supplies near the wagon. GL to all! =)

May be worth noting that you don't have to "open" the chest as you do with many quests. You can turn it in instantly as you would with an NPC.

The crate is at 59,60, looked by a pair of level 58 owlbeast.

The wagon instead is at 61,60.

Did it @ lvl 55 Paladin : Easy quest, the crate is instant.. I ran into the camp, shielded. Took the crate and ran back to the wagon.

easy solo as level 55 hunter.. each wildkin in the camp stands far enough apart to avoid aggro from ranged wep.. pulled 1 at a time and emptied the camp
easiest level 58's i've faced tbh.

Hint for hunters: The biggest threat is their magic, so aggro with pet, hold them at a distance til you've emptied their mana bar using viper sting.. 2 or 3 should do it, then they can barely touch you. :)

Or do what you like, but mine works, tried and tested.

60,61 is correct loc for the wagon. It is just off the right side of the road.

OK in plain English here's the quest:
You must have picked it up from a guy inside one of the buildings in Everlook to start. He tells you talk to Jaron in Starfall Village. You talk to him and he wants you to get his stuff back. You go south in Winterspring, but north of the big chasm. First you go west of the road to the area Dun Mandarr. You'll see a ruined camp just outside a cave, with a few owlbeasts around it. Search the center of the camp and it tells you to go east and find his wagon. Go back east toward the road to the wagon. Went down the road and saw the wagon off to the right. Went off road and past the wagon and saw the cave and then the camp. Surrounding the camp were some level 58 Owlbeasts but in the middle of the camp was just a 56 owlbeast. I was able to go up against the cave side and there was a clear path to pull out the 56 owlbeast with ranged shot. Pulled him out,killed him and then was able to just walk to the center and complete click on the box. I exited the way I came in. Checked out the wagon and got the crate next to it. Walked diagnal across the road to where Ranshalla is standing (escort quest) and went to the left of her back in that canyon. Killed a Crazed Owlbeast that did not drop the amulet but the second owlbeast was a Moontouched Owlbeast and it dropped the amulet. Done and done. easy quest.

Ok, i got the supplies (which took sometime to appear for some reason), but i cant get the amulet!, i have killed over 20 moonkin in that cove east of the supplies, and i still can get it, help!

NVM, logged out a couple of times, abandoned the quest a couple of times, killed a couple mroe moonkin, and i got it.

I killed a whole bunch of crazed Owlbeast but it never droped. And at the first Moontouched Owlbeast i killed it did.

So go after the Moontouched Owlbeast Ifu want it done fast.

Well as a mere lvl 53 druid I managed to successfully solo this with only one death, and that occurred at the 3rd stage where u look for the amulet. ok I had a few potions to help me, but then 300alchemy is a great skill to have, had to kill 3 59 berserkers in camp, there was only one lvl 58 there, was scarey but managed it, so good luck with it all :-))

Following the directions from here was a big help.
Both the camp and the wagon are west of the main road.. that was less then clear to me. Go to the camp first.. kill a few mobs, get the second part of the quest.. head east from the camp and slightly north, before you hit the road you'll find the wagon. Click on the wagon.. then click on the box just south west of the wagon..

Now head east, go into owl wing thicket and start grinding... took 30 kills to find the amulet

all u have to do is pull one by on
and if u r a hunter just have ur pet take the aggro and if they come at u just use disengage
and they will go back to ur pet
but remember us viper sting there only good attack is the arcane
but iono why they say its lvl 59 really easy

this was so easy! as 55 hunt, i didnt aggro anything getting crate. run back to wagon, get supplies, then 1st wildkin killed dropped feather.

sweet, easiest 12,800 XP in the game

I suppose lookin at the coords on site you could find it but standing on the crat my coords were 58,59 slight difference but whatever. hope it helps

i find it amazing that so many ppl can comment on the same thing, whilst saying the exact same thing... so many comments saying stuff like ' easy with hunter all u have to do is pull...'. comments like this are ridiculus, anyone that plays hunter knows they can pull, use pet, viper sting etc (and those that said use viper sting... bad idea,waste of mana for how easily these mobs die)and anyone who has got this far doesnt need to be told how to play anyway. those posts that tell ppl how to complete the quest are useful but its downright annoying how many ppl repeat in other posts ppls words. IF IVE READ IT ONCE I DONT WANNA READ IT 10 MORE TIMES. so in conclussion please keep ur posts relevant and read what other ppl said first to reduce ppl spamming the same crap.

Followed above directions, but at the part to pick up the crate, it does not appear next to the wagon. Can't get the drop from the moonkin after 40 mobs either ... is the quest currently bugged?

Like elsuh said above, I also got the amulet from the wildkin guarding the entrance to the cave. To get there from the wagon/camp you go east, cross the north/south road, and climb a ridge. 58 priest, no problem.

easy quest, only 1 wildkin guarding the crate, killed him looted it , went to the wagon and the supplies, first moontouched wilkin i killed dropped it

I found the first crate in the center of the small wilkdin camp next to the cave. I found the supplies crate right next to the wagon close to the road where one of the first posts said it would be. It only took me two kills to get the amulet when I went across to the wildkin thicket.

Step
1)Questgiver: starfall village first hut / 52.30
2)Crate: near cave at dun mandarr / 59.60
3)Wagon: east of crate / 61.60
4)Supplies: pick up supplies that are next to the wagon.
5)Amulet: either dun mandarr or owl wing thicket / 65.61ish
6)Questgiver : starfall village / 52.30

For the amulet, kill either moontouched or crazed wildkin. Some are lucky and get it first drop, took me about 8 wildkin in total. Finally dropped from a moontouched.

Get the Quest: Find Ranshalla from Rutheran Village. She will be found in Winterspring at 63,59. DO NOT pick up the quest: Guardians of the Altar from her. Go due East and you will see the Wagon. (61,60) Keep going and you will find the Campsite with the broken crate at 59,60. Kill the 2 mobs that guard it, grab the crate and head back to the west to the wagon. The supplies are on the ground right there as well. Now you need to get the Blue Feathered Amulet. Go back to Ranshalla and Accept Guardians of the Altar. As you follow her around the area, lighting torches and killing Wildkin, you will most likely get the Blue Feathered Amulet.

Now you did 2 quests at once!

Completed the chain solo in 16 minutes as a level 55 frost mage.

Follow the road south till you see a broken wagon on the right side (61,60).

Head west past the wagon, down the hill, to the den of owlkin. Kill as many as you need to get to the center where the campfire is (59,60).

Look for the crates that you can mouse-over and right-click to open. These do not sparkle and can be easy to miss.

Head back to the wagon and right-click on it to complete this stage. (61,60)

Then, right-click on the crate on the ground next to the wagon to get the first item. (61,60)

Head northeast across the road, past the NPC Ranshalla, into a subzone called Owl Wing Thicket. There will be a path leading upwards with Owlkin wandering around aimlessly (as usual.)

Grind on all the Owlkin types up the path and in their caves until it second item drops. It shouldn't take along (5th kill for me).

Take the items back to Jaron at inside the inn at Starfall Village. (52,30)

16 minutes to complete the quest and 10 more to write this post and double-check the info :P This is not the way to powerlevel.

Easy Peasy, Me at lvl 56 ran in distracted-sapped the 59 and completed the quest. the camp is exaclty where the screenies say. The blue-feathered amulet dropped of the second moonkin.

I found that it's much easier to make your way in from the West. It's easier to pull the Owlbeasts out to the west then to contend with the Shardtooths and others to the east. Of course you still have to fight your way East to get to the wagon which is the next part of this chain. Still easier for me 56 Hunter

Definitely one of the easiest quests i've ever had. As lvl 54 rogue I could just sap the owlbeast that was closest to the crate and then click to complete the quest and get the next step :)

Hey there, <lad/lass>! I was chased from my camp in southern Winterspring by some bloodthirsty wildkin! Well, I suppose I got too close to something the wildkin were guarding.

I barely managed to get away safely; I fear a buddy of mine wasn't as lucky. Would you mind braving the wildkin and heading to the camp? I really need my supplies, and I'd also like to get back the amulet I unearthed yesterday at the dig site.
