Not hard to solo, use the item given near the glowing silos and some larvas will spawn.

Between 1-3 at start, and between 1-6 over time. They hit weak and slow though, so its not that bad.

Not hard for 57 Hunter - Used Scatter shot to back away from the parasites and immediately called pet back in to attack. When no more parasites are present you will need to be sure to get near a silo that is glowing in order for mare larva to spawn. Fun quest.

i just did this Q, it seems, that initialy you spawn 2-3 mobs, and then, there is chance to spawn another mob on death of those already spawned. i went 12/15 to last tower, then 3 mobs spawned initially, and another 5 spawned during time. i just run away leaving two alive because i was sick of this blizzard irony things:S

Uh, it wasn't that easy for me. 57 Rogue, Cold blood/Prep spec. Three spawned the first time, I was able to kill one and then had to vanish, but got attacked out of vanish, so I had to prep and vanish again. Another one had spawned after I killed the first one. Tried going back to them, but they see through stealth so I aggro'd. You can't pull them one at a time, as a Rogue anyway. I don't know what the above comments are about but when 3 mobs at continously beating on you, it doesn't feel like they hit weak and slow. I died after they detected me. Tried to go back to give it another shot, and killed 2 more but died again.

I did notice though that as I was fighting on the metal rail/track sort of thing, if I jumped off, the parasites has to go a long way around to get to me. This occasionally gave me time to bandage and get some energy back, but didn't do too much in the long run.

I went back yet again and there was only one left. This spec is fine for 1v1 PvE so I just stunlocked it to death. Tried summoning them again and another 3 spawned. I gave up at this point, didn't feel like dieing to mobs again.

If you're a Combat rogue using swords you could probably do this easier, but if you're a dagger rogue...don't bother. They all have around 3K hp and hit for ~80 normal and crit for ~180 on 1.5K armor. There were 3 of em for me so I got hit and crit a lot.

Soloed this quest as a 57 priest, the disturbing thing is that these maggots slow u, reducing ur cast time, movement speed, each time you use the quest object by a silo u get (well i did anyway) up to three maggots showing up and sometimes when u kill one another one shows up... had to leave combat a few times to get mana but that wasnt a big deal. Easily done as a AoE class i guess...

If you use the area around 53,70 you can jump into the water and drop aggro. Very useful for questing at lower levels. Soloed as 53 rogue.

If you're a class that can heal, heal right after the slow disappears, because then you won't have the slowing on your heal, even if you get a new one on you.
It's very easy for a shaman, just put down a grounding totem, and you'll have like 50% of the time slow casted on your totem. If you're enhancement, use shamanistic rage and you are fine. Died once, but after that i was very lucky, one spawned and out of that one came another one and this 5 times, so i was just fighting 6 mobs after eachother instead all in one fight.

Found the buildings with the blue glow at the East or Northeast-ish outskirts of Andorhal. I did this quest with a 61 warrior, I myself, a 57 druid. Hehe, no problems at all. Really easy! I hope the locationsI gave really helps in finding the stuff, because we took 30min to find them.

Something to note, when they die, the parasites might spawn another one, but ONLY if they're close to the silo when they die.

The second silo I tried the mobs kept spawning until I ran far away from the silo and killed the parasites.

it was real easy, just have your pet tank everything.. feign death if you take aggro, freeze trap will sometimes get resisted so have your pet growl.

Neither Agree nor Disagree. I am doing this as a lvl 56 Nightelf Duel-Dagger Rogue, Shadowstep.

Yes: This is insane for any rogue of any spec - more or less in general theory - due to their ability to see through stealth and vanish. And energy consumption hits us hard doing this. Mainly because they cast a "Slow" effect that hits us for 60% speed. But...

No: Do not skip this just because you are rogue. Of any build.

Vanish does work, but in a very limited way. If you vanish, they have to cast some sort of spell effect that allows them to see you and you have to be within the radius of effect. - I did it. I used sprint, evade, then vanish and ran. They left me alone. I saw one of the things cast that little blue sphere on its head and bam... it charged at me since I was close.

If you have distract, use it as a tape measure for what I am saying. These things keep spawning like crazy near the silos. - As noted above / below. - I found that 30 yards is a good distance away from the silo to avoid another spawn. (Be sure to kill 2 of the ghouls / skeletons to avoid aggro.)

How did I measure the 30 yards?? My current Distract is a 30 yard radius. So, from one edge of the AoE circle, to the other edge is 30 yards.

Out of that sphere - 30 yards from the silo. If you have 2 of them, fight and kill one. Then blind the other and heal (you should have Heavy Runecloth Bandages at this point).

Doing the above, allows you to kill the last one being nicely healed and AWAY from their re-spawning area. Giving you time to wait out your Blind / Vanish CD's after they are dead.

Also, I used the same silo over and over again (at 47.3, 65.8). It doesn't take long for it to re-energize with its blue glow. That allowed me to maintain the 30 yard safety buffer I needed to complete the quest.

*tip: make a macro for your bandages:

And put it on a button, for instance: I have mine on the number 5 key.

The first silo I used spawned 10. 2 at first, then each time one died 1 would spawn, up to a total of 10 parasites. If I wasn't a warlock, I would have had to corpserun. Next one spawned no more than 2 parasites in one wave.
So be prepared to die if you pick an unlucky silo.

Soloed as 56 shadow priest, use the temporal displacer at the sylos (49, 69) if you fight them near the sylos they will spawn like crazy,(you kill one, another one spawns) so i suggest, when in trouble, run down to the river, they cant get into it.You will loose agro after few seconds and the parasites will just run back to the last spot you killed a parasite or to the sylo, giving you the chance to eat/drink and then kill them without them despawning.

Solo'd 58 enhance shaman. Most i ever got was 3 and i couldn't get them to spawn more when i killed them next to the silo's. Was actually quite a pain, waiting on the cooldown to summon more. Did at the silo's on the far eastern side that back up against The writhing Haunt

You can find the Silos at (49, 69).

While you might think this is an easy quest, it is not. The parasites have a nasty debuff they keep casting called "Slow", that effectively cuts your DPS in half.

The quest item is also rather random: it can summon anything from one parasite to three parasites a time. And even more, if you are not careful and accidentally spawn the parasites from two silos.

And this is not all. After killing the initial one-to-three parasites, additional ones can spawn. So if you happen to spawn three by using the item, you might get unlucky and all of them could spawn new parasites when you kill them. That is 6 parasites to be killed with no time to rest.

And a note for all the rogues: They see thru stealth. Can't get away with vanish.

All in all: easy if you get lucky, hard as hell if unlucky.

A very useful tip: These guys cannot swim. Pick a silo near the moat or lake and jump in if you get in trouble. They will just hang out near the shore and you can do a full bandage and reengage them or just wait them out and they will go back and hang out by the silo where you can kill them later.

I can't speak for certain, but it seems Blizzard (rightfully) nerfed this quest. I did it today knowing how bad it used to be and I looked at the first mob's hp and he was half health after only a second or two. So it seems Blizzard lowered their health and possibly their damage down significantly as they also did pitiful damage (about 25 on leather). In this case, I say ignore previous advice and let them spawn as many as you can handle (which should be a lot). I was able to finish with two silos.

The parasites put a slow effect on me as soon as they spawned and hit my clothy self for 30-35. They had about 685hp and I used either arcane explosion spam or frost nova+blizzard. They spawned in groups of 2-3 immediately and 1-2 spawned once the first were dead.

All in all a very easy quest :)

It seems as though their health has been nerfed as of the 2.3 patch. I did this on 12/19/07 and each of the worms had approx. 710 health.

If you are not an aoe class and cannot take the worms, jump into the water and they should evade; making it so you can take them one by one and heal between the waves of worms.

Cords are correct, 49,69- Easy quest - Balance spec druids, you wont have to do much, go moonkin form and make sure u have ur thorns on, they'll do most of the damage without you even touching them- did it at lvl 57, took about 5 mins :D

Really simple quest as a hunter.. of any spec... just plant an explosive trap.. pretty good damage initially and it still casts a dot on any more that spawn in. I also had the Chained Essence of Eranikus (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=10455) that you could use if a lot spawn in at one time. Solo'd at 54 with no pet.

This quest was acually glitched for me. I opened the silo and the worms spawned, but they wouldn't move at all, and after I killed one, another one spawned immediatly after. So I could AOE 3-4 down, drink up, and repeat.

After you have killed the required amount of worms you may still summon more.
As an mage (or any other AoE class) you can just walk around, summon worms, kill them and get a great XP out of it.
As a level 56 Arcane mage i got 100 XP from each of them.
They spawned aprox. 5 each time so i got 500 XP from each rift.
The respawn time of the rifts is great and i found it much more profitable to kill these than to kill and of the other monsters around.

The inn is located at tloc 40,69 for those that don't remember, like me. It's due west of the R in Ruins on the map.

this can be a very simple quest.

get in the water S of the ruins, and go E of the east bridge.

come up near 50,70 (or on the map what looks like just E of the ruins) and kill the 1 or 2 single mobs on the hills. look for big silos with blue light streaking out of them. clear out any stray mobs and blow horn.

I've seen the parasites come in mobs of 2 or 3. back up to the hills to fight them so you don't aggro any of the undead in the area, and use the water as an escape if necessary (or for more room, as there are no mobs in the water).

when you kill the last parasite of the current group- another parasite can immediately spawn in the exact same spot, and this can happen multiple times. I have seen the parasites heal and do something like a self-banish, where they regain all health, wont attack, but can't be hit for probably 15-20 seconds.

As a 57 rogue I died 4 times trying to complete this quest and you will too. Because you cant stealth. The maggots have you targeted. Also they will follow you a little way into the water.

Step 1. Find the stinking silos. Go back to Chillwind camp. Then go through the Sorrow Hill Graveyard to the bridge taking you into Andorhal(sp). Just before you get on the bridge look to your right. About 1:00 and in the distance you will see two trees and a windmill. Jump into the river and swim straight to the windmill. Climb the bank on the other side and you will find three silos. You will know them by the blue light streaming out of them.

Step 2. Summon the maggots. Open your bag find the thingy and right click. The green maggots will appear. In waves. When you kill one another will appear immediately. You can not stealth or vanish. Just start hacking away as frantically as you can.

Step 3. Killing the maggots. Keep hacking and dying and trying to jump in the water just before you die to escape the relentless attacks of the maggots. Eventually you will hack your way through 15 and turn in the quest.

This quest might be easy for a warrior or paladin but for a rogue deprived of stealth and a good opener it is a real pain.

I did this one tonight, the day after they applied 1.10, no idea if that made a difference.

But different it was. Firstly let's make it clear the silos are just on the Northern side of the river that runs south of the town, next to the bridge that comes into the town from the SE (not south).

I concentrated on the group of 3 silos nearest the bridge. I blew the horn SW of the SW-most silo, on the theory this would make sure I didn't trigger grubs from more than one silo.

That seemed to work, and I only ever got one or two grubs at a time. Twice after I killed the second of two grubs a third one spawned.

Once I'd done them I retreated and healed, then dealt with the next silo in the group, etc. By the time I'd done the third, the first one had reset (you can tell this by the blue lights appearing back above it) and I went back to it and started the sequence again. If an undead mob nearby spawned while I was waiting I always went and killed that first.

The only problem I had was after killing the last one, another one spawned, when I killed it another one spawned, etc; after about 5 in a row (all one at a time) I had to flee into the water. Once recovered I came back and killed it, one more spawned but that was it.

Long but fairly easy overall, if you are careful. I think the people who got 15 grubs at once must have blown the horn next to at least 3 silos at once or something like that.

When you summon them you can get either 1, 2 or 3 pop on you.

Anytime you kill one, there is a chance of another popping.

So blasting them might not be a good idea since you might just get more pops. Better to try be efficient and keep mana / hp up so if more keep spawning you can keep killing.

Also, if a new one pops it pops where last one died. So I was able to dot one and fear near death and it died and new one popped far away so I could pull solo after finishing wave.

10 parasites spawned the first time for me but I just basically ran off when I was low on health or mana or had cooldowns... run off til you lose aggro and then you can come back and the parasites will still be there... just a little trick that got me through this quest as 58 mage :)

Be careful. Only 2-3 spawned for me on the first 2 silos, but I had EIGHT spawn on me on the 3rd silo. Had to spawn a 2nd Felguard on that one as the first one got killed.

Wasn't too bad and died once because I clicked the wrong mana potion ><
I was 56 when I did this and at all time there was three of them popping up at the same time!
Make sure you have Inner fire up and touch of weakness does help a bit, and if you dont have the macro to self cast shield on you get it now: /cast Power Word: Shield(Rank X) just replace the X with whatever rank your shield has!
Save time and make your life a bit easier!

Then have 4 or 5 major mana potions ( will help also ) 'cause you will run out of mana before the next spawns after the mains dies!

Blow the horn, shield, cast on highest worm vampiric embrace, vampiric touch( try to do that while ur bubble is still up or you'll be casting this spell forever), SD:P, Devouring plague. (this guy would be acting like ur healing pet with all those dots on it! Dont forget to bubble up whenever you can! Switch target cast Vamp touch, SW:P and Vamp emb if ready to be cast again and same thing with the third one! You should have enough mana to dots all three of them! Use a mana pot go back to highest lvl just use your wand 'cause cuz he has a few hp left and the two other MB should suffice!
And the same thing the other spawn!

I only had to kill 5 each time i blew the horn total till i reached 15 worms!
This method worked perfectly with me and hope it will with u too my priestly friends

when i missed 1 i summoned 3. i killed 1 summoned 1, killed 1 no summon, killed another 1, summon 1, killed another 1, no summon and then i killed last and it summoned itself like 5times i had a hard time hehe:P but realy easy quest just dont try to kill 5-5-5:P u may manage it if ur the right class=)
anyways they use SLOW which is a very powerfull magic it slows your movement speed casting speed and attack speed:)

44, 62 Is a nice place with 2 silos to start only have to kill a few then you get those two and go back aroudn the small hills east. Then at 48,61 there are 2 more silos with only 2 skeletals to kill. Then behind these two silos and to the right there are about 4 more so this will bring you to then end of the quest.

This quest is fun for Paladins. The mobs don't hit hard, but since there's usually 2 or 3 of them, they eventually overwhelm any defense. The trick is to kill them slowly and let them help to kill themselves.

• Turn on Retribution aura. This way when you finish killing #1, #2 will already be 1/4 dead, and when you turn to #3, it will be 1/2 dead.

• Turn on Blessing of Wisdom. This fight is all about balancing Mana and Life. You need to generate as much Mana as you can.

• If you have a food buff for Stamina, eat one. More life is a good thing.

• Tactics for using Seals
-- stick with Light and Wisdom
-- start with Light to keep rebuilding life ... at last second judge the seal and switch to Wisdom to build mana
-- go back and forth as needed ... you want to keep life and mana both above 30% if you can

• If life gets to low, use your shield, heal with Holy Light and drink a mana buff.

• I followed the advice on this page and fought on the rocks above the canal. Once I used up all my options and had to jump into the canal ... swam to other side and rebuffed everything. The mobs don't leave when you do this ... at least not right away ... so you can swim back and continue.

• When you have extra mana, you can use Consecration if you want ... but remember, the goal is not to kill them fast, but rather to say alive while you kill fifteen of them.

SUPER EASY QUEST. Solo'ed as a 54 affliction Lock...literally had to go to two silo's and only had to do one once...got like 7 out of one. x33 Very easy, should have no problems. Only knot I got into was that I had an exicutioner and a wolf hit me at once, but VW got one. ;D Easy, 8.6/10

As of Patch 2.3 at least, the number of parasites to kill is down from 15 to 10.

There are two silos highly accessible approaching Andorhal from the north, found at 45,62. I've uploaded a screenshot above (elf with the white hair), or you can see it here.

If you don't have coordinates, go north of Andorhal and take the road south towards it. As you come to some decaying catapults and such, turn to the left (east) and veer off the road a few paces to avoid pulling the skeletons on the road. The two silos are between the tower and a barN. These two silos are the best place to do it as they are the closest to Chromie, to whom you'll have to return.

Here's what my minimap looked like at the spot:

I used the displacer on the first silo and one parasite appeared. When I killed him, no more respawned. 1 down.

I used the displacer on the other silo and one parasite appeared again. After I killed it, another respawned, and that continued until I had killed 8 total (that is, 7 from the second silo with only one use of the displacer).

By the time I killed the 7 from the second silo, the first silo was ready (shining) again. This time, 2 parasites appeared at once. Killed them; quest over.

As with the second silo, the parasites keep coming, but it's nothing to worry about. They are level 55-56, but do very little damage and have very little armor.

As a level 55 druid, I used Entangling Roots, Moonfire, and Insect Swarm. You won't have to cast another spell - each parasite died before the three spells wore off (i.e. died in less than 12 seconds, probably more like 7-8 sec).

super easy quest...just layed an explosive trap right before i opened the rift...once the bugs appeared...let the trap do its thing and finished off any survivors using no arrows...and once i finished two silo's...i waited for them to respwn and hit them again...VERY easy the mobs have very low health

This has got to be one of the easiest quests ever for a mage.

Go to the silsos, summon the digusting maggots. AOE them using either cone of cold, arcane explosion, etc etc... I just arcane explosion them twice each and they were gone. I didn't get any waves, save for one, so I was rather disappointed. If you have to, frost nova them to prevent them from hitting you.

The hardest thing was trying not to freak out seeing how utterly REVOLTING those parasites were. *shudders*

yes, take the silo closest to the water. The first time using it, 4 lvl 56's came out. Very easy to kill..but they kept summoning. After 7 kills they stopped. Use the object again for the last 3 kills.

This is quite easy as all you have to do is kill these creatures that hardly have ANY health! Sometimes they seem to spawn 1 after each other, but if u cant take it just jump out into the water. This is not a hard quest, it is an EASY quest! Trust me!

Because they have about 500 hp each .. I don't understand why you must lure them to the water ..

Level 56 paladin they deal 7-11 damage to me per hit ..

Killed 7 of them while taking about 300 damage ..

Solo'd this quest lvl 55 mage. killed all surrounding mobs without getting hit with totally broken gear. :) Nice and easy.

With all the posts here saying how hard it was I was expecting the worst.

I am a 55lvl druid. Did this alone. No extra heal or mana.

Completed in less than 10min! This includes dieing once because of a respawn of a nearby mob.

when i did this i found that as i am a feral druid i put a rejuvanation on then i fight in bear form if i need to heal i stun one then come out for a heal make sure you clear the area first as you could have problems if any skeletons or ghouls spawn ...

it's easy because they're simple melee kills, they have no armor. gave em a few whacks with my warrior and they were toast.

on the other hand, if you're a magic user... it may suck to be you on this one.

Whether this quest is hard or not is really decided by luck. If you're lucky it's ridiculously easy at level 56 (the listed level). If you're unlucky you'll probably have to do hit and runs at 60.

When you use the quest item 1-3 worms will appear. When you kill one there's a 60% or so chance that a new one will spawn. Thus if you're lucky you'll get 15x one worm that doesn't respawn. If you're unlucky you'll get three worms and every time you kill one another spawns to take its place.

I got a spawn of two where they kept being replaced. After five dead worms and still two living ones AB opened and I left.

The slow they cast makes these fights VERY long. I feel sorry for you if you can't heal throughout them.

I really don't know what you guys are doing to call this hideous quest easy.

My first try through summoned up 3. Great, I can handle 3. Except that as I killed each one it spawned a replacement. That's 6 in a row. I didn't make it past that part because you can't run away either. They slow you.

My second attempt through was 'easier'. Two spawn. Each of those spawned replacements. Each of those spawned replacements, AGAIN. That's 6 in a row again = dead.

My third try though resulted in the same thing as my second try though, except I didn't live as long, so had to go back for more.

I had to pause here and see what the heck was going on, so I check here and people call infinite spawns easy. Well, I'm not a freaking twink! When you call a quest easy, be sure to qualify that you spent a fortune on your toon so you can survive garbage quests like this.

I vote the idiot that made up this quest with infinite respawns a stay in a small cell with an infinite number of blood sucking maggots.

I had a very hard time doing this quest as a level 58 warrior. Each time I opened a silo two would fight me and cast slow - making it VERY hard to do damage using my 2h axe. Then when one would die another would spawn and that would keep reoccurring until I died. I believe one silo spawned > 10 of them - so it was constant fighting. If they didn't cast slow it woulda been a piece of cake, but because of that damn spell and because I didn't have anymore healing pots, I died probably 3 or so times doing this quest =/

Possible as a 53 Shadow Priest. Flee if three spawn at the same time and expect to use all your mana in one summon (resists etc ftl). :)

At 2K armor (level 54 warrior) mobs hit me for 30ish and were very easy to kill, even after 5 or 6 spawns, health was never under 90% thanks to bloodthirst, which is a crappy way to heal yourself. Seems to be nerfed.

Well, I dunno how this is supposed to work, but I just assumed that if I didn't kill them fast enough they would respawn when one died.

1st attempt: no idea what I was doing, died before I killed even one.
2nd: Killed 3 then the stopped spawning.
3rd: Killed all the rest I needed in one summon. VERY hard. I only lived 'cuz my treants' timer finished and a nice druid came by and gave me a heal. At one point I ran and ate/drank and came back but didn't have to resummon.

Seemed pretty hard... might just be because they wouldn't stop spawning on me.

Just a guess, but don't stand between two silos when you summon. You may end up summoning from both. After you summon, the glow goes away from the silo for awhile.

These are beasts. A hunter can freeze-trap one, put a pet on another and scare yet another, so three are manageable, if you're not surprised by them (as I was). A druid could sleep one.

With the constant re-spawning and the "slow" spell, these are long fights. Mana users should wear +Spirit gear, or they may run out of mana from healing the pet/themselves, casting spells, etc. Use whatever crowd control you have for bandages, heals, etc.

Fortunately, they don't hit too hard.

Things were going great for the first three silos and then all hell broke loose. I surprised myself when I fought off five in a row - premed saved my ass - before dying on the 6th. You know its a tough battle when you drink a healing pot twice.

The biggest pain, though, is the fact the parasites couldn't care less if you are in stealth or not.

This should be easy for hunters, with my 57 hunter i did the summoning, feign death so they attack my pet and use pet as tank, then freeze trap for crowd control and start shooting..its very easy

57 shadow priest, was a cinch. Only spawned about three parasites per, PW: Shield and Vampiric Embrace are your friend.

Found silos around 47, 66. They're kinda hard to miss. :P

I somewhat solo'd this with my lvl 55 NE Warrior. Thankfully I had just been given a fighting Yeti as part of another quest, so I used him to his fullest. One fight had three at once, followed by two individual respawns.

Adding my Battle Chicken, Retaliation, and a couple of healing potions, this was complete in about ten minutes.

Some of the guys below had me worried. I had no trouble at all. Never had more than three parasites at a time. Had to kill two mobs to get to the silos. Health never fell below 90%. Got all of mine at the silos near the river. Soloed this as a lvl. 56 hunter.

I read the complaint about this being mildly difficult with the re-spawns and got a little scared... this is how I handled it and I discovered something helpful!

Well, being a mage, I like to keep my distance from my enemies. Two spawned, I frost nova'd, then backed up to cast my fireball. They have very little HP, and! Come to find out! If you back away from the silo and kill AWAY from it, they do NOT re-spawn. Taking on two or three at a time is a cinch and there's no re-spawns until you're ready... so, remember. Just back up! :)

The entrance to the Inn is really at 40,68. Check the map for Cromie or just go to the northwest area of the city. It's one of the only whole buildings.

The water part is still in effect, meaning, If you run into trouble you can jump into the water and they won't follow. ( I found this out after taking a dirt nap once, running bck and getting aggo) I think as a hunter I could probably use a range and kill them from the other side as well but not sure.. food for thought.

My tactic was simple... kill one sheep the other... kiill the other shield kill the other... frost nova evocation and kill the 4'th... then i run away :P

At level 56, 5,800 exp. Silos can be found at loc 44, 63. The parasites will multiply themselfs. Be careful. They cast a slowing spell on you so its hard to run away. Make sure you have a healthy supply of health/mana potion on you for this one.

As it figures, with my luck..

1st tower: 2
2nd tower: 2
3rd tower: 2 + 1 after last died
4th tower: 2 +1 after last died
5th tower: 3 + 5 after they kept dying. (yes.. 8.. from one tower)

Thankfully.. a 60 just happened upon me.. was like OMG THAT'S LAME, grouped me and saved my life. talk about a bad roll of the die, repeatedly. but hey.. I vanished and saved me life just in time for him to group and kill them all. lol

for me it was:
1st tower: 2+1(spawn)
2nd tower: 2+2(spawn)
3rd tower: 2+9(the 9 spawned one at a time so i was always fighting 2 at once)

i was a 59 retro paladin, after the last kill i still had half mana.
i thought it wouldnt make me kill anymore than needed, but im glad it did, the extra kill dropped the hurricane bow for me! 3rd world drop epic ive found!

I got 3 and 1 more (4 total) when 2nd (or 3rd) one died... that last one is a stretch. any leftovers when you die are there for you when you rez too.
this happened at several of the 3 silos near 46,62

I'm not sure whether it was my talent tree, but at 55 as Demonology spec (46 points in it), it wasn't a challenge. Talents helped, things like Mana Feed (Which let me Drain Mana the parasites to get my pet's mana back - he needs mana for taunt), Imp Health Funnel (Again, really helped because funneling usually made me pull aggro).

Even with 2 mobs to start + 1 add (He pulled right after I finished opening the rift) I managed to finish with me at full health and half mana, and felguard at half health/25% mana.

Oh, and I fought 7 in a row on one silo, 2 on the first.

As a level 54 Paladin it was a pain, but do-able. They constantly come at you, and you also have to be careful of pulling the undead. If you are a Pally, be sure you are well handled in 1h weapons, because they hit you with a slow spell that just ruins any chance with a 2 hander. Usually I'd just attack and kill as many as I can, then Divine Protection and run into the lake.

Maybe it's been nerfed, but this was reeeeeeeally simple as a 56 holy priest. 2 X smite killed each mob, only 3 spawned at a time, and Power Word:Shield absorbed all damage. Health Mana bar didnt move, lol.

Co-ords are 44, 62.

But seriously, if you are a level appropriate warrior or rogue, do yoursself a favor and say fck off to this quest. FCK THIS QUEST. As a warrior, even if you use your 30 min cooldown and kill 3 of them, when 1 dies a new one spawns. They constantly apply a slow debuff, so you can't run away, and your attacks take forever. There is no way you complete this quest without dying multiple times. &*!@ like this is ridiculous. I'm at 1.6g repair and only half done. I wish someone had warned me like I'm warning you. NOT WORTH IT.

Do yourself a favor -- do the silo at the southeast corner of the ruins, nearest the water. You can bail into the water and de-aggro, heal up, drink, and then pull again when ready. Just a failsafe

If you are a Warlock or have one available this is perfect for the Infernal demon. Just summon the Infernal and he'll kill them all while you just sit there. He's impervious to the slow and does great damage. Be sure to have it attack the fresh ones that spawn to gain aggro.

I'm a level 60 rogue who's just catching up on missed quests, and this one was pretty easy. At first it started with 2 mobs, then 3-4, and eventually 7. I was able to take on the 7 mob spawns no problem. They only got me to 65% health (4200 hp with no buffs). I just made sure to use fast weapons (1.80 / 1.70) since they do put a slow debuff on you.

This quest shows as yellow for my 54 warrior, but be warned that some of the bugs spawn at lvl 57 (not a big deal if you're just fighting one, but 2, 3, 4...). Lucky me, I even had 2 57's spawn on me at once. The water trick does work, but you need to be prepared because yes, these guys slow you down. Their poison or whatever it is not only slows movement speed but also attack speed by like 50%. Just get in the water, patch up, run back and fight again. Seems like some silos spawn several mobs while others only spawn one. Only died once, so it could have been worse but definitely would not categorize this quest as "yellow" difficulty level for 54 toon, more like orange.

57 boomy, I had my Mechanical Yeti help. He did great. I totally think it was a valid use of him lol otherwise I wouldn't have made it, I think.

Tampering of the timeline by a sinister force - most likely the Scourge - has occurred in Andorhal! I can try to keep the passage of time here intact and mend what has been damaged, but I'll need your help to do so uninterrupted.

Temporal parasites - carrion that feed on the strands of time's altered flow - now infest the silos of Andorhal. A blue pulse of distortion is their only visual marker. They slow my auguries; please <name>, help me by using this temporal displacer to root out these parasites.
