this quest can get bugged badly, causing no monsters to show up at all, ever, until the server is restarted, which can take a long time ;/ gm's aren't helpful either.

Just tried it today again, since it was bugged last time. Date is 12/16 in the morning. She said the normal.. "Wait, did you hear that? Something approaches from the West!" I was expecting nothing, but two furbolgs actually came and attacked her. Nothing afterward though, so it's still bugged.

Whew! It's not just me! I tried yesterday (12/15) and got the wave of three furbolgs only (I know that's supposed to be the middle wave, but it was the first and only wave for me) - then nothing. Dropped the quest, just tried again (12/16) and got only her "Wait, did you hear that?" message, NO furbolgs. She also disappeared after I abandoned the quest.

jan 5, 2008. still bugged. spent so much time gathering moonstalker firs that i actually got to try it twice. the 2nd time i tried running off to kill anything that was to the west, and it failed me. neither time did anything spawn.

Did it just now, lv 27 warrior. There were REALLY long pauses between each wave and I was beginning to think it had bugged out, but they came, eventually.

just did it at lvl 18 night elf priest. lost concentration and died during 3rd wave.
DO NOT let go then, if it happens to you.
the cimettary is very close, and you can get back to the sentinel, resurrect, and still finish the mobs + boss.

As of patch 2.4 this quest doesn't seem to bug anymore (I was very surprised when I finished it the first time). I've just done it four times on Ysera Server with 4 different chars.

Only problem I had was trying to stay awake after I killed the last guy waiting for the complete message. They need to fix that. 19 Human Paladin.

You get 3 waves of attackers. First wave is two lv14s. Second wave is three lv14s. Last is a lv16. Wait around for each wave to come. Last wave Sentinal Aynasha will run out of arrows and won't help you. Another minute and she will send you to Onaeya. Shes located at 45:90.

no juat splintertree post or whatever its called there are lvl 26-28 horde gaurds just off the road. my advice dont go that way until at least twenty five my 18 hunter got two-hitted

As of December 14th, 2007, the quest is still bugged. The questgiver will say, "Wait... Did you hear that? Something approaches from the west!" After this, though, there is complete inactivity. She just stands still, and you're stuck standing around unless you want to fail the quest.

For now, ladies and gents, the best modus operandi is to just skip this one.

I don't know about you guys, but to me, this is a not finished quest!

i have accepted the quest and the waves doesn't come... I've waited 30 minutes and no sign of mobs comming!

Report to blizzard is my advice!

Thanks for the advice. I went off and killed all the moonstalkers and forestriders within 100 yards one at a time. Each time I came back and she still wouldn't move! Then I killed the furbolg to the north. But when I go further north to the camp, I failed. I am glad there is a glitch because it means I'm not crazy. But Blizzard better fix this soon. It's been long enough!

I also just finished this quest today, although it sure felt like it was bugged. I completed this with my level 22 mage after hearing about this quest.

She is indeed located at 45, 90 in Darkshore - she's by the mountain wall, hiding behind a hill.

For some reason the waves take at least 30sec-1min to show up. There are three waves total, a wave of 2 (~level 13), then 3, then a named (~lvl 16). Then afterward it takes another minute or so for her to finish healing her leg. She doesn't move at all, and she speaks only three times: once at the start, once when she runs out of arrows when the named appears, and lastly after she's healed. It's easy to think it's broke, but just be patient. Then run to the post in Ashenvale and turn it in.

I generally do this one at the same time as "The Sleeper has Awakened" with the Druid of the Claw. Two Escort quests at once! You turn them both in at Maestra's Post.

I did this one today. You stay in one spot and just defend her from some Blackwood guys and then report to Onaeya. There is one named MOB, Marosh the Devious. He is only level 16 though. The quest gives you some time between waves to heal up.

Sentinel Oneaya is in Ashevale at Maestra's Post. Just go south down the road and you will find it.

she takes ages to finish, even if you kill all the mobs, just wait for the quest complete text.

She deals a lot of damage by herself so make sure you fight close enough to her. I think she emotes different dialouge sounds from WC3

You don't have to actually "escort" this NPC. You just defend the friendly NPC against a few waves, then the quest is "complete", and you turn it in in Ashenvale.

She has some "unique" audio-only voice lines. I assume they're from night elf units in one of the Warcraft RTS games.

After trying to do this quest 6 times and failing, I find this quest is impossible to do solo at level 15 as a Nightelf Priest, as a total of 5 Furbolg in quick succession aggros on you, as the location does not give you much room to maneuver being in between hills. This quest is probably best done at higher levels or as with a group.

Respawn time is 2-3 minutes or so, in the event that someone snipes the quest while you're reading the text. Not that I would know this from experience.

Mobs are 14-16 all non elite

wave 1: 2 mobs
wave 2: 3 mobs
wave 3: non elite boss

You have time to reg inbetween if you hurry. Can be soloed, but some classes will have trouble.

I was traveling to Auberdine with an important message when I was attacked by the furbolg Marosh and his trackers. During the attack I was poisoned, leaving me barely able to stand. I can make an antidote, but it will take time before it is ready.

I would ask that you defend me until I can apply the antidote. I will aid you with my bow as best I can.

Should we survive, I will be able deliver my message to Auberdine, while you speak with Onaeya at Maestra's Post to inform her of this incident.
